EDIT:

Just called the Sony call center @ 18003457669 and it says as soon as you call that the "PSN is down We apologize ect ect we will have it back up soon ect ect. You may have problems signing into the PSN".

So you may have access and it may not let you log in all the time. Who knows why. I haven't checked the site to see if there is scheduled maintenance or not so i don't know why it is down.
