You just hatin cause you lost him, I watched the second Australia vs Spain game the other day and he was awesome. He plays good on ball defence IMO as well, really gets in the face of the ball handler and has the speed to stay in front.

Hating? Moi?

Buddy, I say a lot of things in this thread, but the last thing you could accuse me of in here is hating. Come on. *COUGH*patty. still. sucks!*COUGH*

:sly:

We got Omer Asik from Chicago, and we also traded Courtney Lee to Boston. I hope our new additions can help put this Houston team back into being playoff contenders again. I'm sick of seeing my boys be good enough to contend, but not good enough to be in the playoffs and to go far into the playoffs. I'm hoping this helps to put the Houston Rockets back on the map rather than always being the better-luck-next-season team.

Some people are saying that the hornets may sneak into the playoffs this year, don't think it'll happen though with a disgruntled Eric Gordon.

If I were the Hornets front office, I'd make him a deal. Play well for the team, see if he changes his mind, maybe grow with the new & promising Hornets. If he still insist on being traded, they will make their best effort to trade him either by a deadline he & the team can agree on, or trade him to one of the teams of his preference, but they(front office) control the timeline.

I totally agree on the potential problem with Gordon's attitude, and this arragement would be fair to both parties involved.

Speaking of the Hornets. The Bleacher report is reporting, a 3 team trade between Hornets, Suns and T-Wolves.

Phoenix trades: C Robin Lopez and PF Hakim Warrick to New Orleans.

Minnesota trades: SG Wesley Johnson and a first round draft pick to Phoenix.

It's still unclear what Minnesota gets in return at this point. I can't find any more information on it.

Brad Miller, Jerome Dyson and draft picks. Not all clear though. Kirilenko is looking to sign there.

Two quality players Phoenix is giving up, right there. I wonder what they are up to. They did get the point guard I coveted in Dragic.

Thanks for that. 👍

Got to say, Robin Lopez is a really nice pickup for the Hornets. One thing we really needed going into this season was a legit big man. He should fill that role quite nicely.

Yep, we really need a Centre at the moment.

Is Ryan Anderson coming off the bench?

You and 20 other NBA teams, not many good centres around these days.
I've read that the Raptors are trying to sign John Lucas III. This makes me facepalm, he's a mediocre point guard at best, but what really kills me is that Lebron dunked OVER him twice last season, I don't want that 🤬 on my team! Mills would be a way better reserve than this random.:sly:

Pretty sick passes.

Edit: It's official, the Raptors signed John Lucas III.:grumpy:

John Lucas can be a very good player! He was the third PG for the Bulls but he will propably be the 2nd for Raps.

Well that can't be as bad as what Felton did on this play:
He needs more corn dogs, or also could be a bad Chalupa before the game. I can't believe that he used to be our starting point guard. He's like a poor man's Steve Nash, with a head injury + 150 lbs.

Give him credit though, he tried to skyhook it from 3pt land.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar just rolled over in his grave....... oh, my bad. He's still alive.

Edit: Have you guys heard about now LeBrana coming out saying that they could beat the Dream Team? Kobe making the claim is one thing, but LeBron James? This softie couldn't even compete on his own, had to join two other superstars to contend.

If they were going to compete in the draft combine, 2012 would win, hands down. Game of basketball, yeah, good luck with that.

Edit2: Had this guy(Olajuwon) qualified to play on the Dream Team in 1992, The Dream Team would have swept the 2012 Team USA in a 7 game series, all of them blow outs.

He'll continue to be a 3rd string until Calderon likely gets traded at some point. I still can't believe they let Bayless go.

I played with a guy in school that'd do that, annoyed the hell out of me.

Haha.

Well I'd take the dream team anyway regardless.

Me too probably, they'd dominate the key with their talented true centres, unlike Tyson Chandler.

James still deserves a lot of credit. He did take the Cavaliers to the Finals in '07 & a couple Playoff appearances & then was a huge key figure in putting away the Celtics & the Thunder this year.
Bosh, Wade, Battier, Chalmers, Miller, all had good Finals games, but James pretty much showed up at every single one.

Plus, I'm pretty sure no one is too bothered after Kobe caught all the flack, esp. considering that MJ & he have had a long rivalry amongst fans, so for him to make the claim his team could be Jordan's obviously pushed Michael's buttons.

I strongly dispute the Michael Jordan rivalry versus Kobe Bryant. I'm a big fan of Kobe Bryant, and IMO, there is no way he can be considered an equal to Michael Jordan. Offensively, I think Kobe is a better scorer. Again, I love Kobe, but unfortunately, that is where the rivalry ends. Kobe is above average in rest of the department, where Michael Jordan is Hall of Fame.

LeBron James, sure he deserves a lot of credit. I've never shied away from mentioning how good he can be, including during the 2012 Playoffs. Sure he's gotten far in the Playoffs before joining her husband, Mr. Dwayne Wade. Then proceeded to choke, or just check out in some critical games(hilarious).

Yes, LeBron absolutely owned this year. On his loaded team, with his super friends. Could LeBron win as his own man? I've always said "yes". Unfortunately, I guess he is just weak willed, and we may never find out. Many great players in the past has suffered similar struggles. Champions are those who found the way. Usually, the typical "way" to win is make your teammates better. I will give LeBron one thing, he and his super friends were thinking outside the box. You don't have to make your teammates better, just load the 🤬 out of the roster!

Yeah, I'll give LeBron some credit. Do I think he has any credibility when he say that 2012 Team is better than the Dream Team? MJ's answer to Kobe was that he "absolutely laughed". That would be my reply to LeBron. At least Kobe is his own man, a true competitor. LeBron? If Dirk Nowitzki came out and made the statement, I'd take him more seriously.

Is that really LeBron's fault though, or Riley's? Riley is a cunning son of a bitch in the NBA, & at the same time, he's extremely crafty. And to come up with the idea to just load the roster sounds more like Riley thought up this evil master plan to take over the NBA. :P

The only downside is that other teams are going to take this approach & the ones who can do it are the ones who don't care about salary caps such as the Nets owner. Even ol' Cuban is looking at loading our roster with Howard & Paul next year and the Lakers are definitely loading up their roster this season.

Then you have the Hawks with that insane amount of cap space, so they'll undoubtedly be in a position to load themselves as well.

As Jim Rome used to say, "if you are not cheating, you are not trying". No, I don't blame LeBron, Wade, Bosh, or Riley. As I said when the team was formed, I hate them & what they did, but I'm not gonna lie, if that was the new Blazers, I'd be going, "Ha!", then onto singing "We Are The Champions" by Queen. :embarrassed:

I'm just saying, as far as the "rep" go, as a competitor, LeBron's was damaged forever. There will be many fans like myself who will always consider him the guy who ran out on his own team. Had LeBron had the balls, with a capable GM(granted, Danny Ferry sucks), I have no doubt in my mind Cleveland would have won Championships. That boy is weak. At least mentally.
