Scarred. For life.

:(
Can't wait til Rose deuces on you to welcome the change.đź‘Ť
You know little about old school NBA(though I don't really consider 90's "old school). Are you familiar with the three lottery picks from the UNLV, all wearing jersey #2 out of the draft, probably back in 1991? They were Larry Johnson(PF), Stacey Augmon(SF) & Greg Anthony(PG).

At work(not all of us, regrettably), "#2" is referred to one of the players name by size, or just "Stacey" in general. If it's #1, I came up with "Rod Strickland"(wore #1 most of his career), who happens to be my all-time favorite player. :ouch:

It's great when you can't say "I gotta go take a ...." in front of customers, because "I gotta go Stacey" is not at all weird.

@a6: The Spurs will always be there so long as Pops is still in charge. He refuses to go away, and rightly so. I get tired of OKC's and LA's primadonnas.
If he'd move to Portland, I'd do his laundry, wash his cars, do his grocery shopping for freeeeeee.

The 90s is like 13 years ago, so I think they qualify as old school.:)

That said, them Warriors are a bunch of cornballs. I honestly thought they would boogeyman the Bulls since the Warriors gives Chicago all kinds of fits.

But good thing Nate Robinson wore his best Jordan's tonight. That and Thib's unleashing Butler.

Edit: The people of New Orleans can enjoy the new Pelicans name, I'm still gonna make fun of them.

*Cue Dave Chappelle: Hate, hate, hate, hate...

Speaking of New Orleans, we won 100-82 over the Hornets/Pelicans in New Orleans. The Rockets led 48-40 at the half. I think both HOU and NO won at home in the previous two meetings this season leading up to this one. My Rockets probably wished the Spurs and Mavericks both lost so Houston would be the only Texas team to win on Friday night. Our back-to-back takes us back home to host Brook Lopez and the Brooklyn Nets. I have to wonder if the Rockets still have enough hustle and heart to take down the ballin' Nets. With the Houston Auto Show going on this weekend, I'm hopeful the Rockets can motor away to a victory against the Brooklyn boys.

Congratulations to all other winners from Friday's games.

The Hawks came back from 27 down to beat the Celtics today in double overtime, what a great sport the NBA is!:dopey:

The Spurs have also just signed Australian Centre/Power Forward Aron Baynes, so far he's played 1min in 1 game and had 1 turnover:ouch:.

If it'll make you feel any better, Marquis Teague only played for one minute against the Warriors and got 2 turnovers.:yuck:

Go the aussies!

Blazers beat the Clips by a one frigging point!

Blazers led most of the game, but went down by a handful toward the end. I figured that was the end, but Blazer fans stuck around, Blazers went on a 10-0 run in the crunch(doesn't say much for the Clippers defense) to take it right back.

Our two best players got shutdown, but damn, they actually hustled tonight, and Nicolas was money in the bank. đź‘Ť

The scoreboard read 119-106 in favor of my Rockets over the Nets. We did lead by as many as 20 points at one stretch against the Nets. Rockets have rediscovered their winning form even if temporarily. James Harden accounted for about 25 or more points in the Rockets' victory. Two straight wins for the Rockets.

Elsewhere...

* The Chicago Bulls went to Washington, D.C. and lost 86-73 to the Wizards.

* Cleveland just squeaked by with a 99-98 victory over the Toronto Raptors in Toronto.

* It was 97-80 in Philadelphia as the 76ers went Beast Mode on the New York Knicks.

* It was a tight one in Charlotte, but the Charlotte Bobcats finally ended their long home losing streak by takin down the Minnesota Timberwolves 102-101.

* In Milwaukee, the Milwaukee Bucks took care of the Golden State Warriors 109-102.

* 108-99 was how much the San Antonio Spurs extinguished the Phoenix Suns in San Antonio.

* The Sacramento Kings got a Mile High evisceration in Denver. They took a 121-93 root canal. Ouch.

* The Pacific Northwest was none too kind of the Los Angeles Clippers. The Clippers got clipped- a 101-100 loss in Portland.

* It took Overtime in Salt Lake City for the Utah Jazz to rock over the Indiana Pacers 114-110.

I think that's every team from Saturday's games. Congrats to all winners.

Notes from yesterday... Spare a thought for Rajon Rondo as he'll be on the shelf for the rest of the season after suffering a torn ACL. The Los Angeles Lakers handled their business at home against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Maybe the Thunder should stop wearing those boring navy blue and white colors.

If your team(s) is/are playing tonight, good luck to them. My Rockets will be in Salt Lake City to take on the Utah Jazz. NEVER an easy task to play at the Jazz. My boys will probably get their backsides handled to tonight, but we'll do our best to make a game out of it.

Enjoy your NBA basketball tonight.

What the f:censored: happened? I know I said the Rockets would get their asses handed to at the Jazz. Well... someone did get their butts handed to- the Jazz. We put the biggest mafia hit in the Rockets/Jazz series at the Jazz with a 125-80 whacking. I did not follow this game at all. All I heard was that we were up 93-59 heading into the 4th Quarter. You think I'm happy we won? As one pro wrestler once said, "you damn skippy, hippy!" James Harden hung 25 points on the Jazz.

Elsewhere...

* The Sacramento Kings reigned supreme in Washington, D.C. as they won 96-94. Houston boy Emeka Okafor had 23 points and 15 rebounds for the Wizards.

* The Memphis Grizzlies handled the Philadelphia 76ers in Philly. It was a 103-100 victory as both Marc Gasol (MEM) and E. Turner (PHI) both accounted for 27 points for their respective teams.

* It was 114-102 in Toronto as the Golden State Warriors tamed the Toronto Raptors.

* The spread was 20 as the Brooklyn Nets beat the sorry Orlando Magic 97-77 in Brooklyn. The Magic have been going straight to Hell since Dwight Howard left, huh?

* After losing badly at the Wizards, the Chicago Bulls weren't going to take any crap from anybody else- including the Charlotte Bobcats. In Chicago, and behind Joakim Noah's 13 points and 18 rebounds, Chicago won 93-85 over the Bobcats.

* The Denver Nuggets hosted the Indiana Pacers in this battle of two blue and gold teams. Denver was the better blue and gold team tonight, winning 102-101.

That's all for tonight's games.

Jimmy Butler should've gotten a nod for the sophomore game at the ASG weekend. He really is pulling the team through rough games.

Hornets at Lakers is this week's NBA Fan Night Game of the Week. After this game, the Lakers will embark on a seven-game road trip. Well-travelled is a good term to describe the Lakers once this trail of games follows: at Suns, at Timberwolves, at Pistons, at Nets, at Celtics, at Bobcats, and at Heat. Wow! I usually know San Antonio for going on brutally long road trips. I think this will eventually mean that the Lakers will peak sometime between now and the end of the season and turn around their misfortunes. Almost like the story is being set up to show the Lakers to persevere like none of these woes ever happened.

Anyhow, enjoy some Tuesday night NBA basketball.

Tough game for my Bulls as they take on the Bucks. Currently we are 0-2 against them, and we will not be pleased to drop 0-3. We already got the Bobcats monkey off our back, so no need to get the Bucks on ours.

That said, I hope Butler drops 20 points at least and break his previous career high.

Hope your Bulls can pull it off, sumbrownkid. Milwaukee is not a pushover.

"Everybody falls in Denver." I hope my Rockets can get out of Denver with a victory. We'll have to deal with that beast Faried and "Shaqtin' a Fool" regular JaVale McGee.

Enjoy some Hump Day hoops, folks.

Bulls pulled if off John, and quiet spectacularly too.:sly:

Nice to see Bulls fans take over the stadium as usual. Milwaukee is considered United Center North after all.;)

Jimmy Butler and Luol Deng are looking like a formidable pair and line up. The Butler did it again, and dropped 18 points and 6 rebounds.:embarrassed:

Nice to see Robinson get inside Jennings head and get him ejected. Lol get clowned.

It wasn't enough as Houston suffers an unhappy ending. We failed in Denver 118-110. Past Rockets teams usually go cold in the 3rd Quarter. The Rockets chose to sleep in the 4th Quarter and end up losing. Very unpleasant feeling tonight. Denver had an 18-2 run to start the 4th Quarter to put us out of our misery.

Houston failed. How did your team(s) do?

Raptors in on a 3 team deal today that sends Calderon to the Detroit Pistons and Ed Davis to the Grizzlies, the Pistons send Austin Daye and Tayshaun Prince to the Grizzlies and the Raptors acquire Rudy Gay. I have much respect for Jose and Ed so it's mixed feelings to see them go but hopefully it becomes the right move in the long run. We're now in desperate need of a Power Forward, even when Bargnani comes back (who I hope they trade for a good Power Forward).

NBA on TNT has two games tonight, and they are the only games for tonight. Check them out:

* Memphis Grizzlies at Oklahoma City Thunder
* Dallas Mavericks at Golden State Warriors

Enjoy some Thursday night NBA hoops, folks.

I'm happy about Rudy Gay trade, but only for him getting shipped out of a team that's been shopping him for over a year or more? I don't know if Calderon's still any good, but he & Tayshaun from Pistons has been shopped around even longer, so this would at least be a closure to a handful of dramas in three clubs.

My Rockets won't play until tomorrow night when we host the Charlotte Bobcats. However, the Indiana Pacers are rocking some pinstripe uniforms tonight as they host the Miami Heat. IND knocked down a three recently. It reminded me of one guy who wore Indiana Pacer colors... some guy named Reggie Miller. Remember him? Was he any good?

Anyhow, have a great NBA weekend!

A 20pt debut for Rudy with the Raptors today, he came to Canada just hours before the game, took a glance at the playbook and out he went as Toronto proceeded to destroy the under manned Clippers.

Some NBA teams wanted to ball on Friday night. In fact, a lot of games were played tonight. So what happened? Here's a rundown...

* The Los Angeles Clippers decied to play to play with some dinosaurs in Canada. End result- lots of filled stomachs thanks to a 98-73 feasting frenzy in Toronto. Villain's Clippers got ripped apart Primal Rage style against Paulie's Toronto Raptors.

* It was 93-89 in Brooklyn as the Nets tamed the Chicago Bulls. Bulls didn't have Noah or Boozer as both were sidelined with injuries. I'd say that more than 50% of Chicago's offense is taken away when you don't have Joakim Noah, Carlos Boozer, and of course- D-Rose.

* In Boston, 97-84 was the score as the Boston Celtics defeated the Orlando Magic.

* Madison Square Garden saw the New York Knicks win 96-86 at home against the Milwaukee Bucks.

* In Memphis, the Grizzlies nicely handled the Washington Wizards 85-76.

* The Detroit Pistons didn't blow a motor in this one. The Palace at Auburn Hills saw Detroit put a 117-99 hit on the oil-leaking Cleveland Cavaliers.

* 89-80 was how much the Philadelphia 76ers handled the visiting Sacramento Kings.

* Dallas wasn't afraid to play in the desert with the Phoenix Suns. The Mavericks left with a 109-99 victory.

* Up in Salt Lake City, the Utah Jazz handled the Portland Trail Blazers nicely- an 86-77 victory.

* Denver was on Beast Mode at home as they slaughtered the New Orleans Hornets 113-98.

* The Clippers lost earlier tonight... could Los Angeles' other team win? The Lakers are on a seven-game road trip starting in Minneapolis. So far, so good for LAL: 111-100 was the victory the Lakers picked up tonight at the Timberwolves.

That's all. Congratulations to anybody else I may have missed.

We beat Charlotte 109-95 tonight, but the real big story was James Harden's first triple-double of his career. Big Nasty Beard (as I call him) accounted for 21 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists in helping us win and sweep the Bobcats for the season. The Rockets are up dire straights next- we're hosting Golden State on Tuesday, and then we're in Miami to face Omnis' Heat on Wednesday night.

I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Michael Kidd-Gilchrist getting banged up tonight. The radio broadcast I was listening to noted MKG not moving. The stretcher had to be brought out on the court to attend to Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. Not sure how he's doing now, but you don't want anyone to be injured.

Congratulations to all other winners on Saturday night.

Kyrie Irving, Mr. 4th Quarter himself, is going to be a HOF'er one day. That boy took on the entire OKC by himself & just handed them the loss. That crossover on Durant before he got fouled was great.

Tim Duncan also took a nasty fall today, sounds like he injured his knee and ankle.

Heard about both Irving & Duncan tonight. Kyrie's one of Rod Strickland's boys(other being Derrick Rose), so I'm happy for him. Timmy's news isn't good. I hope he fully recovers by Playoffs, but I hear he had to be helped off the court. :nervous:

Irving is very impressive. He has killed the Thunder at least twice already in his career.
