Clippers are finally at full strength with their roster. Let's see how these rotations shake out and if this team can really be as good as I hope.

Now why would the Raptors be interested in Boozer? Bigger question, in what world do they envision the Bulls taking Barghani off their hands?

But I must thank Toronto for punching the Pacers in the face. Bunch of pretenders.

I don't really want Boozer either, he's too......old (And expensive). He would still be an upgrade over Bargnani probably (unless somebody could make Bargnani play with some level of effort), but I'd rather see Toronto get somebody else. One trade I heard floated around involved Ridnour and Derrick Williams from the Wolves, now that I like, gives us another backup PG should injury strike and unleashes Derrick Williams from behind Kevin Love in favour of Toronto. Williams' size is still a question though.

True but you never know what will happen

The no.1 draft picks of their respective years going at it with AD and Bargnani, shall be good to watch 👍

To me it seemed like a game of who could care less and turn the ball over more, turned out it was the Hornets.

Edit: LMAO, this is too funny, have a read sumbrownkid.
BleacherReport
Bulls VP of BO John Paxson: Bryan, why do you keep calling? I know you just traded Calderon and need a Spanish dude to replace him, but I've told you a thousand times, Daequan Cook is from Ohio.

Raptors GM Bryan Colangelo: No, no, no. I was just calling to see what's up with Boozer.

Paxson: Wait...Boozer? Like Carlos Boozer? You want him?

Colangelo: Well, only if you take Bargs back.

Paxson: (Checks payroll) Bargnani is on an expiring deal, right? And he can shoot three-pointers right? What's the catch? Is his elbow still wonky?

Colangelo: Nah, dude, he's fine. He'll light it up from three for you guys. But tell me about Boozer. Hasn't he been a bit sulky when he's on bad teams?

Paxson: Oh no way, my man. Have you seen him this year? He's playing as well as ever and we're not even in first place in our division. He'll definitely give his all, even if you guys are in 11th. (Covers phone) I can't believe this is happening!

Colangelo: Yeah, but weren't you guys totally going to amnesty Boozer after the season?

Paxson: Who told you that? We were just using that as a threat to get him to stop coloring in his hair with a magic marker. We'd probably be cool with giving him up if Bargs is healthy. Or at least kind of healthy.

Colangelo: Cool, man, I'll give you a call back later and we can figure this thing out. (Hangs up) Sucker!

Paxson: (Hears dial tone) Sucker!

Two games will be on NBA TV tonight. The first one involves the Portland Trail Blazers going a LONG way to pay a visit to the Miami Heat. Then, my Rockets will go to Oakland in a highly-anticipated rematch from a game last week where we flirted with making NBA history in 3-pointers made. It's Rockets at Warriors!

By the way... this game is part of a back-to-back for my Rockets: at Golden State tonight, and at L.A. Clippers tomorrow night.

Enjoy any other games tonight.

Man, Rudy G is just mega in the clutch, how many times has that dude hit a game winning shot? He did it again today for the Raps in a 1pt win over an under-manned Denver.

The Rockets led 57-56 at the half in Oakland, and we managed to win 116-107 last night. This was just a competitive game without a lot of hostility or anything. Jeremy Lin returned home as he's a NorCal guy. Considering he's from Palo Alto, he probably could have played his college ball at Stanford.

NBA TV is going to show some more Rockets' basketball tonight when the Rockets meet the Clippers. The Clip Joint will be our final opponent before the All-Star Break. I just want the Rockets to finish strong and then keep up the great work to keep pace for when playoff time rolls around.

I don't care if you love or loathe the Miami Heat- you have to appreciate LeBron James' awesome streak he's got going. Six or so straight games with 30+ points and more than 60% field goal percentage. First time someone's had such a streak since the Rockets' Moses Malone in 1982 (he had 5 straight games with 30+ points and more than 60% FG percentage). Also, congratulations to the Heat on getting their 1,000th franchise win last night.

On fire, or the Blazers managed to score 63 points. LaMarcus managed six of them.

I know my team sucks, but that is unreal.

Yep. My boys got jammed into a meat grinder tonight. Too bad the injury bug got to James Harden. We could have used him. Instead... Rockets get hammered by Villain's Clippers 106-96. I knew we were going to lose pretty bad, so I wasn't surprised we got owned like this. This game epitomized "hope for the best, but expect the worst" for the Rockets in taking on the Clip Joint in Los Angeles.

The Rockets have lost every game this season against the higher-tier teams- Spurs, Mavericks, Heat, Thunder, and the Clippers. It certainly certifies my boys as mediocre. Perhaps a fighting mediocrity, but a mediocrity nonetheless. Only good news is that we're above the .500 mark heading into the All-Star Break. Afterwards? Only time will tell.

To everyone who didn't fail in Wednesday's games, congrats on a job well done.

NBA loving for you on Valentine's Day. Get ready for tonight's matches respectively in Oklahoma City and Los Angeles! Two teams' hearts will be broken on this night. Here are the final two games before the All-Star action:

* Miami Heat at Oklahoma City Thunder
* Los Angeles Clippers *at* Los Angeles Lakers

Miami may get franchise win #1,001 with a win at OKC. The Clippers were done taking down my Rockets. Now, they're facing the Lakers. It's a rematch of last season's NBA Finals along with the battle for Los Angeles. PLENTY of reason to be excited if you're an NBA fan. Enjoy tonight's games!

Those are your observations on the season so far. After the All-Star Break, that playoff push continues. Can the Top 8 teams in each conference keep up their position? Can some of the ones on the outside looking in knock off some of the lower-ranked Top 8 teams? We'll see as the All-Star Break concludes.

Last night's scores... Oklahoma City lost at home 110-100 to the Miami Heat. After starting the game on a 15-0 run, the Los Angeles Clippers slammed the Los Angeles Lakers 125-101. Finally, the Lakers have had a roguh season thus far. It just got a bit rougher with Jerry Buss being hospitalized for cancer. Please spare a thought for Dr. Jerry Buss in getting well soon.

That's all. Enjoy All-Star Weekend here in my hometown of Houston!

I can't even watch the Saturday night happenings, there doesn't even seem to be an option to watch it.:odd:

Edit: YEAH! T.Ross wins the slam dunk comp with the DeRozan patented "No Props Needed" mentality.

NBA All-Star Game TONIGHT!

Here in my loveable, yet almost always hated hometown of Houston, it's the West vs. the East. I do have interest since my Rockets are a Western Conference team. Congratulations to all the All-Stars playing in this season's game. Play hard tonight! Who you got winning this one?

The West won the 2013 NBA All-Star Game 143-138. It was such a cool event seeing this on TV last night. I saw most of the action.

Amid a happy occasion like the All-Star Break, I must pass along some sad news. Lakers owner Jerry Buss has died at the age of 80 due to cancer. He bought the Los Angeles Lakers in 1979 and has seen 10 championships come the Lakers' way during his tenure as owner. He was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 2010. My thoughts and prayers go out to all whom have known and loved Jerry Buss.

How will you remember Jerry Buss?

All-Star Break is over, and it's time to get back to work making that playoff push. My Rockets won't play until tomorrow night, when Oklahoma City comes to H-Town.

In case you missed one of my earlier posts, here is one more look at the standings and various other observations heading into tonight's crop of games:

Here are tonight's games as the regular season resumes:
* Toronto Raptors at Washington Wizards
* Charlotte Bobcats at Orlando Magic
* Milwaukee Bucks at Brooklyn Nets
* Memphis Grizzlies at Detroit Pistons
* Chicago Bulls at New Orleans Hornets/Pelicans
* Boston Celtics at Denver Nuggets
* Golden State Warriors at Utah Jazz
* Phoenix Suns at Portland Trail Blazers
* San Antonio Spurs at Sacramento Kings

Also, the NBA trade deadline is on Thursday at 3:00 PM Eastern. Have to wonder who all will be dealing as the deadline nears.

Get back to work, NBA! Enjoy some hoops tonight.

With the NBA back to work, let me share how each team did that played Tuesday night:

* Canada's only NBA team went down to the United States to play in America's capital. So how did they do taking on Washington, D.C.'s team? It was 96-88 in favor of Toronto. How do you make a Raptors' fan happier? What if I told you that Toronto has now won five straight games? Well, they have!

* Home court advantage didn't mean anything in Orlando, as the Magic fell 105-92 hosting the Charlotte Bobcats.

* Brooklyn banked the game winner as 48 minutes wasn't enough. The Milwaukee Bucks couldn't tame the boys in black and white at Barclays Center. The Brooklyn Nets defended home turf in Overtime with a 113-111 victory.

* The Grizzlies handled their business in the Detroit area. Memphis won 105-91 at the Palace at Auburn Hills.

* Who dat say dey gon' beat dem Hornets/Pelicans? The Chicago Bulls said they will- and they did. The Windy City boys took down The Big Easy's boys 96-87 in New Orleans.

* The NBA Fan Night game this week was Boston at Denver. This one is a bit funny- Denver's ready to defend their Mile High home against Boston, who will be logging a good amount of miles as they begin a five-game road trip. And... the Celtics have plenty of mileage on them. 97-90 was the score as the Denver Nuggets won this one to end their three-game losing streak.

* In Salt Lake City, Utah, USA; the final score read 115-101 in favor of the Utah Jazz. The Warriors of Golden State were not so golden in this contest.

* Despite J.J. Hickson's 25 points and 16 rebounds for Portland, the Phoenix Suns picked up the 102-98 win at the Portland Trail Blazers.

* It was 108-102 as the black and silver boys of San Antonio took down the Sacramento Kings. Tony Parker accounted for 30 of the Spurs' 108 points.

That's all. Have a great day/night!

The Raptors take on Memphis tomorrow for the first time since the trade, really hoping they can pull out the W but not expecting much. They're both coming off a back-to-back so it shall be interesting which team has the legs. Funny that Memphis should have to play Detroit and Toronto back-to-back after the 3 team trade.

Back to work... with the Oklahoma City Thunder in our house. We've never been the Top 5 teams this season. The Rockets won 122-119 tonight. James Harden got a new career point high with 46 points. We came from 14 back to win- with only 10 players dressing up for tonight's game as well as Chandler Parsons coming back from getting banged up earlier.

I don't know the full details, but the Rockets made trades with Sacramento and Phoenix. We're getting from the Sacramento Kings: Thomas Robinson, Francisco Garcia, and Tyler Honeycutt. The Sacramento Kings will be getting Patrick Patterson, Cole Aldrich, and Toney Douglas in exchange. We're also getting a 2nd Round Draft Pick from the Suns as we sent Marcus Morris to Phoenix. This will reunite the Morris twins.

A few other games that have also completed...

* Charlotte is not good at defending home court. They failed again as the Detroit Pistons came into Charlotte and won 105-99.

* The Toronto Raptors hosted the Memphis Grizzlies, and Memphis came in to win 88-82 over the Raptors. Five-game winning streak over for Toronto.

* The Knicks got... well, nicked up. The Indiana Pacers throttled NYK 125-91.

* It was 94-87 in Minneapolis as the Minnesota Timberwolves nicely handled the Philadelphia 76ers.

* Cleveland took care of New Orleans 105-100 in Cleveland.

* The Milwaukee Bucks didn't have enough to shut down Brooklyn, as the home-standing Milwaukee Bucks lost in a tight 97-94 affair.

* The ATL welcomed the boys from MIA. It was the Heat who won 103-90 over the Atlanta Hawks.

Congratulations to the eventual winners of ORL at DAL, PHX at GS, and BOS at LAL.

That's an interesting trade John, Thomas Robinson could still yet flourish into an excellent Power Forward. (I wish Toronto had gotten him in a deal involving Andrea)

Trade Deadline has passed. Lots of players getting shipped to other teams. I recently learned of J.J. Redick going from the Magic to the Bucks. One has to hope the new traded players can contribute immediately to their new teams.

Tonight's matches (NBA on TNT):

* Miami Heat at Chicago Bulls (the Omnis (Heat) at sumbrownkid (Bulls) special)
* San Antonio Spurs at Los Angeles Clippers

That's all. Enjoy some Thursday night hoops.

Home sweet home? Home court didn't mean a damned thing last night. The Miami Heat burned up the Midwest as Chicago fell hard- 86-67. Same story in Los Angeles, as the San Antonio Spurs blew out the Los Angeles Clippers 116-90.

Lot of games tonight. My Rockets will try to entertain the Nets in Brooklyn. ESPN will show both the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Oklahoma City Thunder (whom have lost 3 straight) followed by San Antonio Spurs at the Golden State Warriors.

Enjoy this NBA Friday.

[UPDATE] Tonight, the Golden State Warriors will debut their new sleeved uniforms. Got to wonder how this game will end up with the Warriors wearing those sleeved uniforms...

Sleeved? As in, they have sleeves? That's just not basketball, jerseys for life!

The Rockets visited the Barclays Center for the first time ever. Didn't matter. We still won. This time- 106-96 in our 13th-straight win against the Nets. This back-to-back continues tomorrow night as we're in Washington, D.C. to take on the improving Wizards.

As for the Golden State Warriors, yes... sleeved, as in WITH SLEEVES. Here is a little sample for you: http://www.latimes.com/sports/sport...hort-sleeve-uniforms-20130222,0,3284765.story

That game between SA at GS will top off not very long from now. Pretty sure Golden State won't change their names to Golden State United or something with these uniforms.

I guess my man Kobe guaranteed a Playoff appearance by the Lakers? Apparently, the referees did, too.

I didn't watch the Blazers vs Lakers tonight, but it sounded ugly man. Lillard drawing contact, but could not buy a call(not ONE free throw tonight). Dwight Howard had same amount of free throw attempt as the entire Blazers did.

Keep rigging them games NBA!👍

Ah great, Toronto has a game not too far off with the Lakers, not looking forward to the refereeing. The Golden State T-Shirts look stupid.

Ah great, Toronto has a game not too far off with the Lakers, not looking forward to the refereeing. The Golden State T-Shirts look stupid.

Yeah they look okay but I prefer the look of a jersey.

Maybe the power of the new T-Shirts got them the win against San Antonio

Look at Kobe's clean block on Damian Lillard's...... head. It's an acting job by Lillard obviously, but can you blame him when his team's getting beat by not by the Lakers, but the officials?

Best part is at the very end of the replay. Referee is looking right at the play, he as no reaction whatsoever. If the Blazer player blocked Kobe's head, Kobe would've gotten ten free throws & a ball back.
