I learned that Jeremy Lin will be shelved for about two weeks with a Grade 1 sprain on his leg. Not sure if that's the official injury report, but he will be out of action for two weeks with a leg injury. Rockets are now at about 12-5 or 13-5.

For discussion's sake... are there any players or teams that have surprised you so far? Are there any players or teams that are maybe underrated right now?

As a New York Knicks fan, I'm pretty surprised with that bad start, really hoping this losing streak will end later today/tonight/tomorrow when Pelicans come to town.

Utah is 3 & 15? Holy crap, what happened in the off season? I thought they were at least a middle road team.

I guess what has most surprised me is just how well Indiana is doing. They won 105-100 at the Los Angeles Clippers earlier today. In case you're wondering... these are the next five matches for the Indiana Pacers:

12/2 - at Portland
12/4 - at Jazz
12/7 - at San Antonio
12/8 - at Oklahoma City
12/10 - Miami

Yikes! I am VERY concerned about that SA/OKC back-to-back followed by hosting Miami. I would be surprised if Indiana picks up three or more wins with this upcoming five-game stretch. If you haven't taken Indiana seriously, start taking them seriously.

Here are a few completed matches from games played so far:
* Denver at Toronto: 112-98, Denver Nuggets (3rd straight home loss for TOR)
* Philadelphia at Detroit: 115-100, Detroit Pistons
* Indiana at L.A. Clippers: 105-100, Indiana Pacers

Congratulations to the winners of other games, including:
* CHA at MIA
* GS at SAC
* MIN at OKC
* NO at NYK
* POR at LAL

The Thunder won tonight over the Timberwolves after starting out sloppy. The team was shooting the ball pretty well, but could not keep from committing turnovers. Fortunately, a run put them ahead and they ceased to yield the lead back.

The Rockets failed at Utah tonight. I barely followed our 109-103 loss at the Jazz. Rockets now fall to 12-6. Utah was even ahead at the half 53-50 over us. Well, you can't win 'em all. Just ask my Texans and Astros. Okay, that was a bad joke, but you get the idea. I just hope the Rockets don't start sliding towards a downward spiral like the Texans and Astros. The Rockets are my last bit of sanity as a Houston sports fan right now. Rockets will come back home and play on Wednesday against DCybertron's Phoenix Suns and on Friday against the Golden State Warriors- who'll make their only visit to Houston this season.

Elsewhere... wow! The New Orleans Pelicans and Chicago Bulls are playing in Triple Overtime. As of the time of me typing this post, the New Orleans Pelicans led 131-128 with 2.6 seconds left in 3OT as the Pelicans got a basket and the foul. They made the three-point play to lead 131-128. And in the end, Stavingo's Pelicans handed sumbrownkid's Chicago Bulls their first home loss of the season by the score of 131-128.

Congratulations to the other winners from tonight's games.

My Blazer's actually playing a good team tonight. I think I predicted something like 107 - 95 Pacers, at least couple of weeks ago. Currently, 64 - 56, Pacers. We'll see how the rest of the game go(not me, I'm going to bed). Go Blazers!

Edit: Games about to end, and score's quite the opposite. Happy to be wrong, Go Blazers baby!

Tonight's NBA Fan Night Game of the Week is...

Detroit Pistons at Miami Heat

It looks like NBA fans want to see what Detroit can do in South Beach against the ballin' Heat. Or, it could be another opportunity for the Miami Heat to run yet another team out of the building.

You go enjoy some NBA action tonight, alright?

Detroit at Miami was the NBA Fan Night Game of the Week this week. When I saw the game, it was 18.1 seconds left in the game with the score being 107-97... Detroit. Wow! I didn't follow this game at all. It ended up being a 107-97 defeat for Miami. Their 10-game winning streak is snapped. Sucks if you're a Heat fan to see your team lose like this, but Detroit fans obviously are jacked to beat the two-time defending NBA champs.

Congratulations to all other winners from tonight's games, but wow. BIG win for Detroit.

Predicted that Indiana would beat the Blazer last night, but at work this morning, I guaranteed that the Blazers would lose tomorrow night against OKC. Key match up's between Lillard & Westbrook. I think both teams have just three losses, so should be fun. *edit - Actually....... Looks like OKC played tonight, and the game is at Portland, so Blazers will have a decent chance!!

Must.....not......rage! Toronto threw a 27pt lead against Golden State to lose epically.

I just remembered- there is supposed to be a game tonight is supposed to be played in Mexico City. The match between San Antonio vs. Minnesota will be played in Mexico City, Mexico. My Rockets will be hosting the Phoenix Suns back here in the USA tonight, here in Houston.

Go enjoy some basketball tonight... wherever the games are played at tonight.

Shots fired? :lol: @a6m5
Also, "the Portland".

What do you say to a team that beat your ass twice? All I can say is that 🤬 Channing Frye, he gets up for every frickin' Blazer game. Dragic(Slovenian, I think) also tend to have big night against us, which doesn't help. Match-up's huge in sports, but I just don't get it, you guys got our number.

They let me down too, man. :crazy:

A few key Rockets didn't play due to injury. Down 51-40 at the half to the Phoenix Suns, we ended up getting a 97-88 loss. Too many turnovers by both teams, so this wasn't a very pretty played game. We fall to 13-7 on the season and have now lost two straight. Golden State comes to H-Town on Friday. On the positive side, this team did all they could with certain players not in the lineup. About seven Rockets played and obviously had to have some extended minutes.

Because the game in Mexico City was postponed after the building caught fire, the SA vs. MIN game will be made up at the Target Center later this season. It's unfortunate this game didn't happen. I personally don't want to hear/see "they shouldn't have played in Mexico anyway" or anything like that. This was just a game that unfortunately just didn't happen- at least in Mexico City.

Congratulations to all other winners from tonight's games.

OKC@PDX tonight, Westbrook got bit out of control, talking to our coach, walking toward our bench....... I just love that. :lol: Hotheadedness gets the best of him sometimes, but you gotta love that competitiveness in him.

Just woah. Hope the people there were okay, and got a refund.

They just mentioned something about generator malfunction? I feel bad for Mexico City. Kind of embarrassing trying to host a proper NBA game, then the game is cancelled(extremely rare) because of crap generator. :lol:

Edit: Blazers beat the best team in the West tonight...... but like with most of our wins, it comes with an asterisk: OKC lost on the road tonight on a back-to-back + LaMarcus, who's usually just so awesome anyways, he was going unconcious. LaMarcus Olajuwon for the win, Go Blazers! 👍

The Knicks are playing the Nets? Has there ever been a game where both teams lost?:scared: I believe the Raptors take on DCybertron's Suns in a day or two (Saturday in Australia), the top of the Atlantic division (sub 0.400 team:lol:) takes on a mighty Western foe. Go East!:ouch:

Three games are on the card for tonight. Two of them are on NBA on TNT. One Thursday night with hot action. Tonight:

* New York Knicks at Brooklyn Nets (NBA on TNT)
* Los Angeles Clippers at Memphis Grizzlies
* Miami Heat at Chicago Bulls (NBA on TNT)

Enjoy some Thursday night NBA hoops.

Rebounding is Miami's biggest weakness. The Bulls beat up the Heat on the boards. That goes a long way towards winning games. It probably also helped that they shot well also.
