Dirk's one of the greatest fadeaway shooters of all-time, but LaMarcus is actually starting to approach that level. He's got nice range, too. It's sick.

Playing like a boss recently, didn't he get named player of the week?

The NBA is reportedly mulling over disposing with the divisions, what do you guys think? Personally I think it would do well, there'd probably be a more even spread of games between teams and only the best to the worst are ranked accordingly in the top 8, division leaders won't get a say.

I don't really care about the divisions, but I do like conferences. I also like any plans that would get rid of David Stern a day sooner.

I don't think it'd really work unless they remove the conferences to be honest.

I think it is an overreaction to the terrible East. Look the Atlantic Division it looks horrible, I even read an article talking about a 50 loss team making the playoffs in the East. On to my Knicks how do you lose by 40 at home to the Celtics who don't have anybody of note? By the way I think Brad Stevens is doing outstanding work this year. Anyway how long is it till spring training ?

It is not just the Atlantic Division that looks bad. The other two East divisions do not look good either, especially when compared to how much better the West is doing. The West is brutal and the East is a whole bunch of cupcakes, minus Miami and Indiana.

Got NBA TV? If so, then check out this week's NBA Fan Night Game of the Week is Miami at Indiana. Can the Pacers trip up the Heat tonight in Indianapolis? There are also some other games coming up tonight as well.

Go enjoy some NBA hoops tonight.

So I'm watching Lakers/Suns. Turns out Kobe came back against the raptors to warm up for the suns.
More reason for me to hate him.

Edit: Also, there's a noticeable difference in the cheering when Kobe scores to when someone else scores.

Edit 2: Suns Win! These are the only wins I want them to get, the important ones against big name teams.

It was 90-84 last night in Indianapolis as the Pacers beat the Heat. The rematch will be next Wednesday in Miami. More NBA action coming your way tonight. Enjoy some NBA Wednesday action tonight.

Can't believe my Knicks actually beat somebody by actually playing defense. What a novel concept? Now maybe they can tie their longest winning streak of the season: 2 games :(

We got two games tonight. Here's your NBA on TNT schedule for tonight:

* Los Angeles Clippers at Brooklyn Nets
* Houston Rockets at Portland Trail Blazers

My Rockets are on a 3-game road trip, and this game tonight is part of a back-to-back. We're going to Golden State tomorrow night after this game. Yay for late games!

Some sad news... Kevin McHale's (HOU Coach) mother died recently. My condolences go out to the McHale family on this sad loss.

I'm not gonna lie, I want the Blazers to kick some Rocket ass tonight........... having said that, I expect the Blazers to be playing catch up for much of the game. Just stay close, beat them with bit of momentum & execution late in the game!(easier said than done, ESPECIALLY on the road). Go Blazers!

Edit: Game is actually in Portland(I thought so!). Story I read earlier said something about playing in Portland earlier(it was in Houston), but I turned on the radio & I hear our announcer(also radio guy on another station) Mark Mason, I thought that was weird. Go Blazers.

Edit2: I'm on 🤬, they just said that last game was in Portland, too.

Rockets could have played a hell of a lot better. I take nothing away from Portland, but if you're going to be any sort of contender, you have to hang with teams like Portland. We failed by a score of 111-104. It just seemed like everything was going Portland's way, especially in the second half. The Rockets' offense must have gotten iced over going from Houston to the Pacific Northwest. They'd better warm up at Golden State later tonight (it's Friday Central Time as of this post). Bulls:censored: performance, but there's no shame losing to this Portland team.

Happy now, a6m5?

That sucks, didn't he miss some games last season as well after losing someone close? If that's true, you have to feel for him.

I heard that but apparently the Raptors want another first rd pick from the Knicks as well. I would hate if they trade Shumpert. They need a PG but not a the expense of one of their better younger players. They should throw in JR Smith or Metta World Peace

Before going back to work, here is a look at where we stand after just about everyone has played at least 25% of this NBA season:

So that's how things look so far. There's still more than 75% of season left to go. Plenty of time to improve. Or... plenty of time to fall apart or reach mediocrity. Other than that, it's Friday- enjoy this NBA Ball Night.

I assume you are referring to the addition of Rudy Gay? That is exciting..... That'd either help them, or cause an explosion.
Happy now, a6m5?
VERY. But you know what? All these big wins by my team comes with a little "*" by it. OKC & Indiana, we beat them....... on a back of the back-to-back & at home. Against the Rockets, you guy were still in the game late, and you didn't have your head coach!

Win's a win, yes, but still.......
That sucks, didn't he miss some games last season as well after losing someone close? If that's true, you have to feel for him.
You are right. Didn't he lose a daughter? I am absolutely no fan of McHale, but I also do feel bad for him. His mother must've been pretty up there though....

The Houston Rockets won 116-112 just now at Golden State. The sting of losing at Portland on Thursday night was made better as the Rockets took down Golden State. The Warriors made it close, but we were too much for Golden State in the late stages. Not even foul trouble for both teams could suppress the Rockets' offense. Rockets win!

Congratulations to all other winners from Friday night- including a narrow escape for Chicago at the Milwaukee Bucks and the Oklahoma City Thunder raining and lightning all over the Los Angeles Lakers at home.

Good game for the Raps today, solid ball movement and another strong outing from Terrence Ross, Valanciunas is not having the anticipated break-out season though, he's not gotten any better at all yet.

Yeah, Dwight Howard knocked down a three-pointer, and he went 7-7 from the free throw line. As far as Rockets are concerned, D12's three was NOTHING compared to that one time Yao Ming hit a three-pointer.

The Rockets will end this road trip Sunday at the Sacramento Kings. I hear New Orleans will have a brutal five-game western road trip coming up. Four of their next five games are at Western Conference teams currently in the top eight in the Western Conference. The only one NOT in that top 8 on this road trip is at Sacramento. Good luck, Pelicans...

Windy City looks like they have the wind taken out of their sales as though they're winded since losing Rose, the Raptors used a balanced effort and good defence to take down the Bulls 99-77 today.

Edit: Cavs coach Brown also got ejected after he ran at a ref today vs the Heat, and the replays showed it was as clean a block as you can get that he thought was a foul which made him rage. I bet he'll feel stupid after seeing the replays.

Since my Rockets were off on Saturday, I figured I did a little more reading on the love-or-hate sleeved jerseys. My Rockets will be among some of the many teams to wear the sleeved jerseys on Christmas day. I still fancy the regular sleeveless jerseys; however, I don't entirely hate the sleeved jerseys. I've never worn a proper basketball jersey at all. So I can't say I'd actually wear one of these sleeved jerseys if I were playing basketball for real. These sleeved jerseys are supposed to be lighter and more comfortable than the standard sleeveless jerseys.

In case you're interested, here is the old article regarding those sleeved jerseys, as well as the shorts: http://www.nba.com/warriors/news/adidas_shortsleevejerseys

Here's a score rundown...

* It was 99-77 in Chicago as the Bulls saw the Toronto Raptors come in and beat them. The Bulls NEVER led the game. So it was a wire-to-wire (or flag-to-flag if you want to use racing expressions) victory for Paulie's Raptors over sumbrownkid's Bulls. Paulie smiling from ear-to-ear; sumbrownkid... not so much.

* The Los Angeles Lakers finally snap their losing funk by winning 88-85 at Charlotte.

* The other Los Angeles team convincingly won in Washington, D.C. The Los Angeles Clippers won with a 113-97 beat down of the Wizards.

* The Miami Heat hosted the Cleveland Cavaliers, and they won 114-107 against LeBron's former team.

* kjb had reason to smile as his New York Knicks grounded the Atlanta Hawks 111-106.

* Portland must have been VERY angry about going to Philadelphia. So what did they do about it? Beat the 76ers 139-105 in Philly's house. Didn't know beating the Sixers makes for good anger management and stress relief. :)

* McLaren's Dallas Mavericks handled the sorry Milwaukee Bucks 106-93 in Dallas.

* San Antonio went to Salt Lake City, and the black and silver boys won 100-84 at the Utah Jazz.

Get ready for Sunday action!

Blazers scored 139 points today. Feels like the 80's.

Edit: Blazers beat the Pistons in O/T 111-109........ That's 250 points in less than 24 hours. Not that bad. ;)

After Pistons went up by double digit in the 4th, I thought it was over, but I guess they are still the Pistons. :P

I thought this was going to be a real late game, so I had no idea this game was played maybe two or three hours earlier than what I thought the original start time would be. After my Texans depressed me (again), seemed like the Rockets had their own depressing issues, as we failed 106-91 at Sacramento. The Kings seemingly got better with their trading with the Toronto Raptors. But again- I didn't follow this game at all. I think our record is now 16-9. Up next is the JohnBM01/sumbrownkid special- the Chicago Bulls at the Houston Rockets this coming Wednesday night on ESPN.

Congratulations to all other winners from today's games and tonight's games.

Steph Curry drains the most useless 4th Quarter buzzer-beater ever, as they lose to the Suns 102-106, and the "Slash Brothers" are born.
