Face it. You don't have any special plans for tonight. So why not catch some NBA hoops? Two games are sure to fill that dull void. Next Thursday is Thanksgiving, but why not thank the NBA for giving you these two NBA on TNT games for tonight:

* Los Angeles Clippers at Oklahoma City Thunder (Villain vs. Brett special!)
* Chicago Bulls at Denver Nuggets

Of course, I have to mention our sumbrownkid and his Bulls. It's always nice when our favorite teams play each other and that we have a little inner GTPlanet rivalry among ourselves with our teams playing. So, yeah... enjoy tonight's games!

As for last night, I'm just sad my boys lost. I knew we weren't going to beat Dallas the way we handled Boston back on Tuesday. It wasn't like the Rockets saw the 2013-2014 Celtics when they went up to Dallas last night. This is the Southwest Division. This is the Texas Triangle. NOTHING comes easy. It's go hard or go home. That loss was just unfortunate after doing so well most of the game.

I read the fake thuggery will be less tonight, as Matt Barnes is not scheduled to play. That is good news. Now there will not have a chance of stupid ejections happening because he likes to stick his nose places where it does not belong.

Unfortunately, I will not be in attendance of tonight's game. I went to Monday's game against the Nuggets.

Barnes probably feels irrelevant(pretty much is), so he's just being extra aggressive protecting the guy with big contracts.

Dwight gets caught up with a heckler, tosses the ball at him, but the heckler swats it. He is fined $25,000 the next day. Didn't he lose the game, too? Some losing streak.

Even though Dwight Howard plays for my Houston Rockets, I'm not a D12 fanatic. His temperament and his maturity are still my areas of concern for him. I will defend him as a Rockets fan; but still, you just don't do that even with a heckling fan in the stands. I wasn't surprised his bank account took a $25K USD hit because of his actions.

In actual game action, Oklahoma City took good care of the Los Angeles Clippers earlier tonight to the tune of a 105-91 victory.

How did Dwight Howard even get popular? He's not so great. The only thing he's ever done is put on a silly superman cape to do a fairly unimpressive dunk. Not impressed.

Probably that & he was the leading blocker in the NBA for a while which made him one of the best defensive men around. All the fame though came from his feud within' the Magic organization.

Thunder win! I did not really watch any of the game. I worked late tonight and had the game pulled up on TNT.com, but was only half listening to Marv Albert, Steve Kerr, and Chuck.

I think that internet came back on because your Trail Blazers are up by one, and Rose is out with an injury.

I really hate our athletic trainers.

Me, too. What the flack. When I checked the score again, saw that Blazers killed the Bulls in the third, but Rose had gone down. I was happy & bummed at the same time!

Go Blazers & here's to Rose speedy recovery from his knee injury. :indiff:

It's not a tear, well at least hopefully not a tear (knock on wood), because he managed to at least hobble on it.

Most likely a sprain or a bruise of some sort.

You know the history with the Blazers. This year, we've yet to see our lottery pick play!

It was 104-100 in New Orleans as the Pelicans took down the Cleveland Cavaliers. Monty Williams picked up his 100th win as the New Orleans coach. Congratulations to Monty on win #100 with the Pelicans. Just wanted to give this shout-out to stavingo's Pelicans.

Congratulations to all other winners from Friday's games.

You guys cannot fathom how nervous I and the rest of the Chicago fan base feels right now.

Even other NBA players are giving their sympathies.

Edit: And the nightmare scenario has happened. Medial meniscus tear in right knee. Needs surgery and will be out indefinitely.

I think management might blow this team up if Rose cannot return this season. That said, returning from a meniscus tear is not as hard as returning from an ACL tear.

This sucks, but yeah, he should be back this season. I don't know if that'll do any good, as this pretty much kills Bulls chance of positioning for the Playoffs. All I can say is thank god for the Pacers(east-wise!).

Sorry sbkid!

112-101 was the score here in Houston as we beat the Minnesota Timberwolves. We began with a nice 3-pointer and just go on an offensive surge. Rockets led by 13 at the half. Minnesota hammered Brooklyn at home on Friday, then my Rockets hammer the T-Wolves the following night. The record is now 9-5 for my Rockets.

What damage did your boys do tonight (if they played)? By the way- I'm sorry reading the sad news on D-Rose and on the sad state of the Chicago Bulls. Just try to soldier out this season as best as you can.

Blazers get lucky again. AGAIN, they make an unprobable comeback to push the record to 11-2, but Golden State were missing Iggy & Steph Curry was recovering from an injury. Just last night, Bulls of course lost Rose in what was a very tight game against us.

After two quality wins, I still stand by the position that Blazers are getting the benefit of easy scheduling. Even when it reaches a tough(er) stretch, other teams are losing their best players.

Just saw some video of a fight in the Warriors-Blazers game. I also noticed today as the Spurs played the Cavs there was a bit of an Aussie fest going on. We had Patty Mills log 15pts and 3ast in 22mins, Baynes in more a role player situation with 6pts and 5reb on 50% shooting in 21mins and young Dellavedova had 14pts on 6-8 shooting and 4stl in 33mins of action for the Cavs. Add in Bogut's 34mins today, and Australians played a total of 110mins of NBA game time today! It's a good time to be an Aussie hoops fan, especially with young Dante Exum coming through with rumblings of a top 5 pick in next year's draft and being compared to the great Penny Hardaway (Although really only based on a tiny body of work).👍

Can't wait to see Dante Exum ball but is he playing for a college in the US? Or is he still working out at home in the AIS?

I think he's still playing at the AIS, I think I read something once that suggested if he were to play college ball this year he wouldn't be eligible for the upcoming draft. Doesn't make sense to me so it's probably not true. There are a number of Aussie youngsters in college in the USA right now, I think Ben Simmons is a well regarded prospect for the 2015 draft but it's too early to say IMO.

Some reports are saying Rose could be back in a month or so, what do you guys think? Will he jump back in or play it safe, maybe even sit most the season?

I guess it means that everybody else on the Chicago Bulls roster will need to step up in place of D-Rose. Maybe they could reel off a bit of success like when Yao Ming was down for my Rockets, and we reeled off about 22 straight wins until eventually losing [bad] to the Boston Celtics. As we would say- run what you brung and make sure you brung enough.

During the Portland at Golden State fight, I was disgusted that Andrew Bogut stayed in the game despite instigating (or basically instigating) that fight. When I saw that on NBA TV, I thought Bogut should have been thrown out in addition to the other players who were involved in that skirmish. I meant to discuss this a long time ago.

Other than that, go enjoy some Monday night NBA action.
