I can sum up the game for you
@JohnBM01. Despite heavy bias towards the Rockets from the refs (which seems to happen in every Houston game I've seen this season), and some Boston levels or homer commentating, the Spurs somehow pulled out a win, with double digit points contributions from Baynes and Mills much to my delight.
Mind you, despite the horrid officiating favouring the Rockets, the NBA once again proved a foul will not be called on a potential game winner. Harden was clearly fouled by Duncan on his game winning attempt.
Edit: Ben Simmons recorded 13pts, 9reb and 9ast in a winning effort for the Nike Hoops Summit game today as well. He had some powerful highlights, and his 9 assists are a Hoops Summit game record.
Edit 2: I've been meaning to ask, just before we hop into playoffs mode, which team/s have your favourite youth movements in their builds for the future at the moment? For me it's between the Bucks, Jazz, Magic and Timberwolves.
The Bucks were definitely on the right track with MCW, Giannis and Jabari Parker, though I feel making the playoffs came too soon for them in a weak East. Unless they make the unlikely success in free agency to bolster their lineup at shooting guard and centre though, they're likely to get worse again before they get better.
I really like what the Magic have, Payton is showing major promise as a defender, floor general and a crafty little offence of his own, Oladipo is practically already a stud, as is Tobias Harris and Vucevic. If Aaron Gordon can turn all his athleticism and desire to shoot 3's into successful basketball they have a great starting lineup, plus they'll get another high pick in this draft.
The Jazz are already playing winning basketball since the All-Star break with one of the league's top defences. The length of Gobert at the rim and Exum on the primary ball handler could develop in to a real pain for opposing teams. Alek Burks, Derrick Favours and Gordon Hayward are all still young as well and are already pretty damn good players. Trey Burke can be a spark plug off the bench. And Rodney Hood has probably been better than most would have expected from a 2nd round pick. The Jazz too will add another lottery pick this off-season.
Then there's the Wolves who I feel have a long way to go and some tough decisions to make. Do they part with Rubio? (I say give him one more season then send him packing if he's still unhealthy or not producing). How/when do they get rid of Martin and Pekovic? Zach Lavine and Andrew Wiggins are great building blocks by the look of it, and Dieng has shown promise as a rim protecting centre. They should be in line for a top 3 selection this draft.
