@McLaren

I got a stat for you.

2-1 Chicago.

Rose with the last second three for the win.

Shump is still an insult, and JR did not bring the big difference everyone thought he would.

Maybe he will, but not tonight, and hopefully not in game 4. Now to focus on Game 4. If Bulls can win that...

We lost Gasol too btw. But interestingly enough, Thibs sat Noah out for the second half, and made Chicago play small, and it worked.

Just wanted to pop in and congratulate Chicago on that dramatic win. The game between HOU at LAC is still ongoing, but it might as well be an LAC win tonight to lead the series 2-1 with Game 4 coming up on Sunday in Los Angeles. Rockets can't hit s:censored: right now. It's currently 104-76, LAC with 10:31 left in the game as of this post.

Depressing. Lethargic. Not enough words in the English language to explain this Rockets f:censored: up. Big time fail- a 124-99 defeat at the Clippers. The Clip Joint now go up 2-1 and may damn well go to 3-1 if the Rockets play Sunday's game the way they played Friday's game. The two teams traded scores early... until LAC pulled away while Houston fails to toss the ball into the basket. We can freaking take this series, but the Rockets aren't playing with the firepower that got them here in the first freaking place. Not looking good for the Rockets if this performance continues.

We lace up and suit up again this Sunday night. Game 4. Los Angeles. Staples Center. Rockets. Clippers.

And again, congrats to Chicago, who won a much closer game than this bulls:censored: in L.A.

John, the problem is your team's defense. James Harden has resorted back to playing no defense. The fact you allowed Austin damn Rivers to play like he was Steph Curry was bad. That 19-0 run at the end of the 3rd had to be embarrassing. Despite Howard showing some of his Orlando days, you guys just can't keep Griffin out of the game.

Which meant it was anyone's game.

Shumpert was suffering from a groin injury. JR still put up 14 on 5-9, 4-8 shooting. Meanwhile, Rose was pulling a Westbrick in the first half & finished with 10-26. Butler was terrible in first half as well.

It worked barely, I would say considering it literally came down to the end. Everyone played like college league players. It was painful to watch that shooting display at times for both teams.

Dello played an excellent contribution to the Cavs' cause today, I love watching him play. He outworks more talented, more athletic players and definitely seems to have a very good basketball IQ, for a sophomore he plays like a 35yr old.

@McLaren

And Rose made the shot that won the game, making it 2-1. He could have gone 1-30, and still be the hero with the shot. Both Rose and Butler had horrible first halves, in fact the entire Bulls shot bricks, but they made up for it in the second. It was anybody's game til that 3. JR will probably be guarded by Snell now instead of Hinrich. Speaking of bricks, Lebron was pretty much laying them too going 8-25, and had to get his points at the charity line.

For all the 3's Cavs were making, and for all the shots Bulls were missing, Bulls still eeked out a win. Classic Bulls game from years past when we were racked with injuries. Cavs are not getting any pity from Bulls fans for any injury woes.

And yet you were trying to make the excuse earlier that the Cavs won 3 out 4 because they never faced a full strength Bulls-squad, & now that the roles are switched, there's "no pity".

At least the teams have respect for each other. Per Taj Gibson:
He's the Michael Jordan of our generation.

Take 3 guesses who he's referring to. :P

Yeah, Lebum James.

And yes there is no pity honestly. I didn't say it's not a valid excuse for the Cavs, did I? They're just not gonna get pity.

I know they respect each other, but they also hate each other.

Pau Gasol maybe out for Game 4, but honestly since game 1 he hasn't had a major if any impact at all. Giving Taj his minutes will probably help out contain Tristan Thompson and control the paint. It could be a blessing too since Taj is a much better defender than Gasol. And Noah needs to learn how to make simple lay ups, it's like he's forgotten how to score. Bulls have to come out swinging in Game 4 because we all know Cavs will.

Memphis might just take this series! Their defence is so awesome to watch, so disruptive and pressuring. On offence they just beat you in to submission.

Edit: Not to mention Washington beating Atlanta again! What a crazy playoffs this is turning out to be.:dopey:

There was one note I forgot to mention from my previous post. When I was watching parts of the Cleveland at Chicago game last night, there was a piece on championship droughts. These remaining five teams in the playoffs who've been to the Promised Land haven't been champs in a number of years? How long? Check this out:

Chicago - last title in 1998.
Houston - last title in 1995.
Washington - last title in 1978.
Golden State - last title in 1975.
Atlanta - last title in 1958, as the St. Louis Hawks.

So if any of these teams make this season's NBA Finals, a long championship drought will end. Cleveland, Memphis, and the Los Angeles Clippers have never won an NBA Championship. A CLE-(MEM/LAC) series for the NBA Finals would mean one team will be champs for the first time ever. We are still a long way from talking NBA Finals at this point. There are still eight teams left standing. However, this is all something to think about once we eventually come down to two teams playing for the O'Brien Trophy and an NBA Championship.

Another lighthearted musing of mine... I've somewhat gotten around to properly pronouncing and spelling "Dellavedova." Now if only I can properly spell and pronounce the "Greek Freak" (Giannis Antetokounmpo) regularly...

Congratulations to tonight's winners, including Washington winning that foul-ridden, overly insane game against Atlanta.

[UPDATE] I copied and pasted only half of what I previously typed! That has since been changed for this post.

You can call him Dello for short, it's what we do.:dopey: (Not that I have problems with his name).

I. Don't. Get it. :guilty:

I was happy about the Wizards win until I saw a pic of Paul Pierce. Go Wizards. :yuck:

If the Cavs and Warriors both get eliminated the rest of the playoffs will be very boring for me and I probably won't watch any of it, all my teams/players will be out.

People, I'm sorry that I only copied a portion of what I initially typed. Please read my previous post to see what I initially typed up. Anyhow... results from Saturday's games:

* ATL Hawks at WSH Wizards: (103-101, Washington; WSH leads series 2-1)
* GS Warriors at MEM Grizzlies (99-89, Memphis; MEM leads series 2-1)

Just wanted to make good use of this post.

So um, Golden State is in a bit of a pickle.

Hawks I think should be able to beat the Wizards, but they look totally vulnerable now.

I've been there since Indiana, Portland & San Antonio's been out. I do like the Wizards & the Bulls little bit, and also pulling for the Warriors, as while I like most Memphis players better than the Warriors, I do believe that Warriors are the better team. I guess I'm waiting to see them rebound, but like I said, my interest in the game is low, and I barely pay attention to the scores anymore. :D

LeBron James single handily winning the game against a "full strength" Bulls squad. No Love, & almost no Kyrie with a foot injury. Just JR Smith & Tristan Thompson.

Damn it, Chicago wasted a golden opportunity to go up 3-1. Now they are all even on a Lebron last second shot.

Still, I have confidence Chicago can eek out this series in 7. So many missed lay ups though by Gibson, Mirotic, and just about the entire team. Well that's 48 min past, and Chicago has to focus on Game 5. Perhaps losing Gasol was more important to us offensively than we have hoped.

@McLaren

It was a weird game though, with both teams have offensive droughts in two quarters. Unfortunately Chicago decided to have theirs in the fourth. Not a full strength squad though Mclaren.

I really thought we had it. Score's 84 to 84. 0.8 seconds on the clock changed to 1.5 by refs. Cav's ball. Passes it in to LeBron...bam, 3!

Wait... was it a 2 or a 3? From my view it looked like a 3. Either way, we have to focus on game #5. It's a must.

I know the Bulls can bring it to the Cavs, and vice versa. The key is to make your simplest shots, and it was just aggravating seeing lay ups falling out. And for the love god, can Noah somehow find his 2013-2014 form? It's like he's forgotten to score outside of dunks.

Oh man, yes, it was aggravating seeing how many missed shots we had. Noah? He's always doing something other than what we need him to do.

Yeah. But it didn't help that Mirotic and Dunleavy were pretty much cold for most of the game. They have to make their shots in Cleveland if they want that 3-2 lead. Rose and Butler are the only reliable scorers in this series so far. Gibson has to stop dribbling once he gets the ball right near or at the rim and just slam it in.

The Western Conference Final might as well be LAC vs. (GS/MEM). Another awful performance, 128-95 win by the Clippers in Los Angeles. Hell, the Rockets' mothers could have played much harder in this game than what these guys shown tonight on this Mother's Day. Rockets will have to do even more soul searching than when they got hammered Friday night. This team just lost their fire and (to be honest) almost seem like the Houston Texans last year as far as not having enough fire and firepower to win games. However, they have until Tuesday to decide to play winning basketball or find ways to actually put the ball through the hoop rather than have the Clippers run all over us like a runaway train. Looks like the "Can't Win in Houston" theme will continue unless the Rockets somehow reel off three straight wins to advance to the Western Conference Finals. Hustle and heart is what kept the Rockets strong in the regular season. They are devoid of those things right now in a crucial time. Terrible...

Despite the controversial finish, congratulations to Cleveland on their buzzer-beating victory at Chicago.

Phew, glad the Cavs got that one! Let's go Cavs! It's not looking good on the injury front though, whether they play hurt or not they'll not be 100%.

THIS JUST IN...

To the unemployment line goes Monty Williams, fired from the New Orleans Pelicans after five seasons with the team. NO was swept by the Golden State Warriors in the 2015 NBA Playoffs.

Tonight, the Eastern Conference Semifinals is going to be interesting with both teams tied 2-2 heading into tonight's game in Cleveland. And on the other end, this may be the final game for my Rockets unless they wake the f:censored: up and play like they want to play for their 3rd NBA Championship in franchise history rather than continue Houston's "can't win in Houston" sports curse. The Rockets are home tonight trying to force a Game 6 back in Los Angeles. The Clippers lead this series 3-1.

Eastern Conference Semifinals getting tense; Western Conference Semifinals mean either elimination or "one more day."

Go enjoy some Tuesday night NBA basketball tonight, folks.

Welp, looks like Cavs are gonna take this one if the Bulls don't bring some intensity. Rose is the only one bringing it so far.

Noah just doesn't look like Noah of years past.:yuck:

Thankfully I have Project Cars to balance my salt. :D

I know Mclaren is somewhere out there having a giggle at me.
