We overthrown the Kings big time here in H-Town. The boys from California's capital city were treated to capital punishment here in the city that used to be the capital of Texas- 132-98 capital punishment, that is. An I read is that the Rockets are the only undefeated team this month heading into tonight's game. We are now 19-7 on the season as we notched up our eighth win in a row. James Harden got himself ANOTHER triple-double, though he's not triple-double crazy like that beast Russell Westbrook in OKC. Harden got 15 points, 14 assists, and 11 rebounds. This triple-double ties him with Hakeem Olajuwon for most all-time by a Rockets' player. One more triple-double by James Harden, and he will be all alone at the top with the most triple-doubles by a Houston Rockets player.

Congratulations to Wednesday's other winners, including the Toronto Raptors sinking their fangs and claws into the poor Philadelphia 76ers in Philly.

[OMISSION] A stat I read on ESPN is that it took Hakeem Olajuwon 1,117 games to record his 14th triple-double, but it took James Harden only 340 games to get his 14th triple-double. One more triple-double by Harden for the Rockets will mean he'll be all alone with the most triple-doubles in Rockets' history. I know there's that guy in OKC that's a triple-double machine, but James Harden = beast. The top three in franchise history for triple-doubles is currently James Harden and Hakeem Olajuwon with 14 each, and Clyde "The Glide" Drexler with 7. That's good company.

Yeah. My condolences go out in loving memory of broadcaster Craig Sager. He lost his two-year battle with leukemia and was 65 years old at the time of his passing. I'm sure the NBA on TNT will have at least one tribute to Craig Sager. It will be sad to no longer be in the company of Craig Sager's outlandish outfits and personality.

Nothing short of touching the tributes to Craig Sager were by the NBA on TNT crew tonight. The show must go on, but my condolences still go out to Craig Sager and all whom have known and loved him.

Another night, another victim seems like. First of all, my Rockets smashed the New Orleans Pelicans 122-100 here in Houston. The Rockets even landed 24 three-pointers in a game... a new NBA record! If they can land 25 threes in a game, they'll break the all-time record held by the Cleveland Cavaliers from last season's playoffs. James Harden is now all alone in Rockets history with the most triple-doubles by a Rockets player. Tonight's triple-double damage by Harden: 29 points, 13 assists, and 11 rebounds. Nine wins in a row for the Rockets, and we are now 20-7 on the 2016 season.

Congratulations to all other winners from Friday. Better luck next time to all losing teams on this night.

Back-to-back for the Houston Rockets. Like a lot of the games this season, I haven't followed it much except for viewing the final score. That's what happens when you can't get to see your Rockets on TV thanks to some channel you don't get. Anyhow, the Rockets somehow won 111-109 in comeback fashion, and in Overtime. So the Rockets hit Blackjack in the win column- 21 wins for H-Town and a 10-game winning streak. I still remember when the Rockets won 22 in a row on or after Yao Ming was injured. Both Harden and Anderson each got 28 points. Anderson hit seven three-pointers. So how did I learn of this? One of my friends on Facebook shared a post from the Rockets' Facebook fan page.

Congratulations to Saturday's other winners. Hopefully your favorite team(s) were winners if they played today.

Man is Westbrook putting up some NUMBERS!! 22 assists today in another triple-double.

It was the San Antonio Spurs going about three hours east of town to play at my Houston Rockets. The end result was 102-100 in favor of... the Spurs. All good things must come to an end. I hate to say it, but there's no shame losing to the San Antonio Spurs. Sad enough, the Rockets had a chance to win. As I was listening to the radio at one point, the Rockets bricked a three-pointer that would have won them the game. Jinx, perhaps? But yeah- 10 and no more. Rockets will try to start a new win streak (or sadly extend their losing streak) depending on their next game.

Next for the Rockets is the first of two away games. Tomorrow night, the Rockets will be at the Phoenix Suns. They'll be at Memphis on Friday night.

Congratulations to all winners from Tuesday.

Today is the 125th birthday of basketball. We got eight games tonight to celebrate the vision of one Canadaian named Dr. James Naismith. Canada's only remaining NBA team, the Toronto Raptors, unfortunately is not playing tonight; but these sixteen teams ARE playing tonight:

* MIL Bucks at CLE Cavaliers
* MIN Timberwolves at ATL Hawks
* MEM Grizzlies at DET Pistons
* OKC Thunder at NO Pelicans
* WAS Wizards at CHI Bulls
* HOU Rockets at PHX Suns
* SAC Kings at UTA Jazz
* DAL Mavericks at POR Trail Blazers

Enjoy some Hump Day NBA basketball, and good luck to all of your favorite teams.

Time for the Houston Rockets to ball again. This time, at the Phoenix Suns after seeing their 10-game winning streak snapped hosting San Antonio last night. We did good- a 125-111 victory in the desert.

Congratulations to all other winners on this special Wednesday night, the 125th birthday of the invention of basketball.

115-109 was the final score when the Houston Rockets played at the Memphis Grizzlies tonight... and it was Memphis on the winning end of this score. Tonight stunk for me as a Houston basketball fan- the U. of Houston loses to Harvard, Rockets lose at the Grizzlies, and the Rio Grande Valley Vipers (Houston's D-League team) gets ripped apart at the Austin Spurs. I'll go cry in the corner or something.

Other than that, congratulations to all other Friday winners including Oklahoma City winning at Boston as Russell Westbrook knocks down ANOTHER triple-double (51st of his NBA career).

After losing at Memphis this past Friday, the Houston Rockets hosted the Phoenix Suns. We iced the Suns 131-115. So the boys from the desert come down to H-Town and get hammered.

My Rockets won... did your team too if they played tonight? If so, congratulations to all winners from tonight's games!

In-state action for the Houston Rockets tonight. While the NFL's Dallas Cowboys have been the talk of the town, the Dallas Mavericks have struggled. Their struggles continue as the Rockets won 123-107 in Dallas on this back-to-back for Houston. We are now 24-9 on the season (2nd in Southwest) while Dallas falls to 9-24 (5th in Southwest).

I was watching The Doug Gottlieb Show earlier today, and I saw how one Rockets player was shooting underhanded free throws in our game vs. Phoenix last night. We have a rookie named Chinanu Onuaku at 6'11" banking free throws underhanded. This even would make Shaq look silly in terms of big guys free throw shooting! Here's an article on this story if you're interested: http://sports.yahoo.com/news/rocket...erhand-free-throw-in-nba-debut-065204491.html

Elsewhere...

Congratulations to LeBron James on winning the AP Male Athlete of the Year honors for 2016.

Congratulations also to the other winners from tonight's four games.

Joe Ingles hit a game winning 3 for the Jazz today, and is leading the NBA in 3pt %. Whaaaaat?

The Rockets begin a four-game homestand starting tonight. And so far... so good. 140-116 was the final score in Houston as we defeated the Los Angeles Clippers. We now have hit silver- 25 wins. Houston is 25-9 on the season now.

Congratulations to all other winners from Friday's games.

It's rare you have a home back-to-back, but the Houston Rockets are on a back-to-back at home. We hosted the New York Knicks tonight. The Rockets won 129-122. There was a highlight from James Harden (among many) where he kind of faked somebody behind the three point line like he was going to drive to the basket, but he ends up splashing a rainbow 3-pointer. Harden's handles are sick. Almost an ankle-breaker guaranteed. Here's the stat line on James Harden tonight that I picked up on Twitter- 53 points, 17 assists, and 16 rebounds. He's the first player in NBA history to go 50-15-15. Slightly mad bloke he is!

Congratulations to all other winners from New Year's Eve 2016. Hopefully your favorite team closed out 2016 right if they played.

So Jimmy Butler decided to drop 52 points tonight in another close win. Do people remember that he was the 30th pick? Best 30th pick ever.

Unfortunately, his prime years are being wasted on a Bulls team that is bad from top to bottom.

Meanwhile here in Houston...

The Houston Rockets played their first game of the 2017 side of the NBA season. We welcomed Washington's Wizards. The Rockets won 101-91 behind James Harden's 3rd straight triple double. According to ESPN, I read he shot worse than 25% from the field despite picking up 23 points, 10 assists, and 10 rebounds. Still, the Rockets win another one.

Congratulations to everybody else who won on this first Monday of 2017.

It's the first Tuesday of 2017. For you NBA fans, there are eight games to be played tonight. Here are the games to be played tonight...

* MIN Timberwolves at PHI 76ers
* UTA Jazz at BOS Celtics
* IND Pacers at DET Pistons
* WAS Wizards at DAL Mavericks
* TOR Raptors at SA Spurs
* SAC Kings at DEN Nuggets
* MIA Heat at PHX Suns
* MEM Grizzlies at LAL Lakers

Easily the best match tonight is Toronto at San Antonio. Some people would even think of this as possibly a potential NBA Finals match. One or both of these teams could actually go this far.

Enjoy the NBA action tonight! Good luck to all of your favorite teams.

So now you're set as we head into tonight's games. Nobody has clinched anything of yet. Nobody has been eliminated from the postseason yet. Keep playing hard so that your favorite team(s) can make the postseason.

That said, enjoy some NBA action tonight and this weekend. Good luck to all of your favorite team(s).

Zaza Pachulia ranks 2nd in All Star voting for Western Conference frontcourt.

Zaza. Pachulia. Really?

No disrespect to Zaza but why? I mean of all the guys you can have for your West All Star lineup, why him? I didn't even see him improve. The facial expression of the other three players says it all. Even his teammate is shocked.

I think fan voting is dumb. This is where the bandwagons appear.

RECENTLY WRAPPED UP...

If the playoffs began today, we would have the 3rd Seed and match up against Oklahoma City. Funny enough, both teams met tonight here in Houston. This one was close. In the end, it was my Rockets that downed Brett's Oklahoma City Thunder 118-116. James Harden had 26 points and 12 assists to record a double-double. We are now 28-9 on the season. I can only hope we can eventually win our third NBA championship in franchise history.

Congratulations to Thursday's other winners.

Yes, the Zaza vote is stupid, thanks bandwagoneers.👎
I'm glad someone took notice of this though.

If Zaza were to play for the West All Star team, then I'm not even gonna watch the all star game at all because he's a disgrace to other All Stars.

The All-Star game is generally pretty boring anyway. The level of defence they play these days is disgusting, at least in the '90s they made it a little interesting. The 3pt contest and dunk contest are the real events on All-Star weekend, that and anything Kevin Hart-related, little dude is funny as hell.

Orlando has Magic, but their magic wasn't enough to subdue my Houston Rockets tonight. We won 100-93 in Orlando after completing our four game home stand. Most of the time I saw Orlando ahead of my Rockets. Our string of games scoring 100 points or more still goes strong. Some... what, 26 or 27 straight games now? Anyhow, we survived this back-to-back.

Congratulations to Friday's other winners. Also, I wish Matt Bonner well in his retirement after 21 seasons or so in the NBA.

Im surprised no one has mentioned the likely trade of Kyle Korver to the Cavs for a future 1st round pick.

Also:

WHY THE 🤬 IS ZAZA VOTED 2ND OVERALL?! WHAT THE 🤬!!

Yeah it's kinda BS seeing Zaza in the All Star voting. I already mentioned this but this is the work of the GS bandwagon. Sure the fans have the right to vote who wants to see them play but at least show some decency. I would've at least accept it if Javale was in the voting at least he is capable but Zaza, nope. There was a case like this before and that was Yao Ming but he his a lot different to Zaza. At least Yao had his stats to back him up.

Oh and Korver trade, I think aside from the future first round pick, I think Mo and Dunleavy are part of that trade also. Looks like my Cavs are now trying to strengthen the frontcourt especially with J.R out for three months.
