What a win for Toronto today. DeRozan is still on fire, he scored something like 34 or 36. The Hornets were completely living and dying by the 3. They went through stretches of hitting 3-4 in a row then went cold allowing Toronto to get ahead again.

The Houston Rockets failed tonight. We lost at home 106-100 to the San Antonio Spurs. It was just a few days ago the Rockets beat the black and silver boys three hours west of Houston. Now they just come into H-Town taking us down in our house? That ain't cool, but oh well...

Congratulations to the other winners from Saturday, including the Toronto Raptors taking down the Knicks in Toronto.

Two HUGE clutch blocks from Noguiera, the guy who's stepped up to fill the void left by Biyombo. Glad to see him producing.

Another night of NBA basketball. My Houston Rockets were entertained at home by the Philadelphia 76ers. The Sixers have only one win so far this season. And... they are stuck on one win after we handed them a 115-88 demolition. So the Rockets keep on keeping on.

Congratulations to all other winners from Monday night, including the Knicks smacking the Dallas Mavericks at home.

Heading into tonight's five games, I found it surprising that the Miami Heat are 2-7. Not very good times in the MIA. Maybe hosting the Atlanta Hawks will help. Or did it?

* Nope. 2-8 go Omnis' Miami Heat, falling 93-90 at home to Atlanta. ATL leads the Southeast Division while MIA is dead last (5th) in the Southeast. It was a double-double for Atlanta's own Dwight Howard with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Hassan Whiteside for Miami put up 19 points and 25 rebounds in the loss.

* Misery loves company, so Paulie's Toronto Raptors left great Canada to lose at the Cleveland Cavaliers 121-117. In the loss, Kyle Lowry had 28 points while DeMar DeRozan put up a solid 26 points. Double-doubles were recorded by the likes of LeBron James (28 pts., 14 assists), Kevin Love (19 pts., 13 rebounds), and Tristan Thompson (15 pts., 11 rebounds) on the Cleveland side.

* It was 115-108 as the Minnesota Timberwolves lost to the visiting Charlotte Hornets.

Congratulations to the eventual winners of CHI at POR and BKN at LAL.

Can't win them all, but I sure would have liked to win this one! Poor Raptors drew Cleveland and Golden State in a back to back.

The Houston Rockets' trip to Oklahoma City tonight ends in a 105-103 defeat. So at least on this night, the Rockets' surprising start suffers a hitch.

All congratulations to OKC, and all other winners from Wednesday.

All congratulations to OKC, and all other winners from Wednesday.

Westbrook's dunk to seal the game was a good one.

I guess if you're going to shut a team down, do so with authority. It wasn't that three-pointer at Portland that knocked the Rockets out of the Playoffs a few seasons ago, but this hurts just as bad. Congrats to OKC nonetheless.

Next Thursday is Thanksgiving. But THIS Thursday? If you want basketball tonight, the NBA listened to you and delivered by giving you these five games:

* NYK Knicks at WAS Wizards
* MIL Bucks at MIA Heat
* POR Trail Blazers at HOU Rockets
* PHI 76ers at MIN Timberwolves (NBA on TNT)
* CHI Bulls at UTA Jazz (NBA on TNT)

Got to love roundball. Enjoy some hoops tonight, folks.

What do you do after a close loss? Hand the next opponent their backsides. Just ask Portland. We won 126-109 against the Trail Blazers to conclude this back-to-back. So it was a happy Thursday night in Houston at Toyota Center.

Congratulations to Thursday's other winners, including home wins by a Minnesota beat down of Philadelphia and the Wizards edging out the Knicks at home.

Both the Jazz and Rockets scored triple digits. While Utah may know Jazz, we rocked and rolled over Utah with a 111-102 win here in Houston. James Harden accounted for 31 points and 10 assists.

Congratulations to the other winners from Saturday.

We defeated the Detroit Pistons 99-96 up in MoTown. Big Nasty Beard (what I call James Harden) had 28 points and 11 assists to record a double-double in this one. Clint Capela had a double-double for the Rockets as well- 15 points and 12 rebounds. On the losing end for Detroit, it was Andre Drummond who cashed in 13 points and 16 rebounds. The most points for the Pistons was scored by Kentavious Caldwell-Pope with 26 points. We are now 9-5 on the season.

* I think Omnis' Miami Heat may have hit rock bottom- losing at the Philadelphia 76ers 101-94. PHI now has four straight home wins, if you can believe it. Joel Embiid knocked down 22 points to help the Sixers' cause. Hassan Whiteside for MIA accounted for 32 points and 13 rebounds in the loss.

* It was 106-101 in Washington, D.C. as the Washington Wizards outlast the Phoenix Suns. John Wall had 18 points and 15 assists in the win for WAS. There were 29 points scored by Eric Bledsoe for PHX.

* The Memphis Grizzlies routed the Charlotte Hornets 105-90 in Charlotte. The Southwest Division is like SEC West football- a brutal division of powerful teams. The boys from Graceland saw Mike Conley bang in 31 points for MEM.

* If you thought that beat down was bad, wait until you see what Golden State did to poor Indiana. In this battle of blue and gold teams, Golden State ran over Indiana 120-83 in Indianapolis. It was a 14-point, 11 rebound night for Kevin Durant for GS.

Congratulations to all other winners from Monday night.

Jimmy Butler is a no brainer all-star select this season.

My team, your team, AMERICA's team- the Houston Rockets. Canada's team- the Toronto Raptors. My Rockets vs. Paulie's Raptors. Houston, Texas, USA. Toyota Center. Winner? By a score of 115-102, the Toronto Raptors. Canada wins. I'm sure the Rockets couldn't defeat the Raptors even if we had Jurgen Klinsman as the coach (what would he know about basketball, anyway?). So... well played by your ballin' boys, Paulie. That's alright. We'll defeat you next time. :sly: Hopefully...

Other than that, congratulations to Wednesday's other winners.

My NBL team provided a major letdown today, my pickup games were a major letdown last night, at least the Raptors came through. Feels like it's been a while since we beat Houston.👍

No NBA basketball today. Enjoy Thanksgiving, folks! With no action today or tonight, here is a chance to look at the standings as of right now. Find your favorite team(s):

--- EASTERN CONFERENCE ---
ATLANTIC: Boston and Toronto (9-6 each), NY (7-7), BKN (4-10), PHI (4-10)
CENTRAL: Cleveland (11-2), CHI (9-6), MIL (6-7), DET and IND (7-9 each)
SOUTHEAST: Atlanta (10-5), CHA (8-6), ORL (6-9), WAS (4-9), MIA (4-10)

--- WESTERN CONFERENCE ---
PACIFIC: Los Angeles Clippers (14-2), Golden State (13-2), LAL (8-8), SAC (6-9), PHX (5-11)
SOUTHWEST: San Antonio (12-3), MEM (10-5), HOU (9-6), NO (6-10), DAL (2-12)
NORTHWEST: Utah and Oklahoma City (8-8 each), POR (8-9), DEN (6-9), MIN (4-10)

There's still a lot of season left. A strong start doesn't always equate to a strong finish. Teams that start slow can still make a strong finish. So anything can still happen. Don't stop believing, folks.

But once again, Happy Thanksgiving to you, your family, and your friends.

I haven't been updating my Rockets or anything in a while. So what's up with these guys? Well, my Rockets are currently 11-6 now since my last update. We won at Sacramento and at Portland recently. We're at the 10-8 Utah Jazz tonight in a game to be aired on NBA TV as part of NBA Fan Night. Five other games are on tonight.

Enjoy some NBA hoops tonight.

NBA fans picked Rockets at Jazz to be the NBA Fan Night Game of the Week. Well, I'm sure they enjoyed seeing my Rockets get their asses handed to 120-101. And guess what? It's going to get worse for my Rockets because their next game is at Golden State on Thursday night. Yay, us...

Oh, well. Congratulations to all other winners from Tuesday.

Can't believe it... we won! I didn't see the game because I thought we'd get creamed by 11 or more. What ended up happening was the Houston Rockets winning 132-127 in Double Overtime. And in THEIR house, no less! Triple-double for James Harden. The Rockets are not the best team in the NBA, but they are surely surprising this season. Last year's clown show of an effort seems a long time ago. How else can I say it? I'm damned proud of my boys. I always am, but more so after Thursday night.

Methinks it's time for one of these. Come on, Rockets Nation (unless "Rockets Nation" on GTP is just me)... *** happy dance ***

Of course, congratulations to other winners from Thursday's games.

In Denver, it was 128-110 as my Houston Rockets smacked up the Denver Nuggets. It's pretty tough to go from Double Overtime at the Warriors followed by going up in elevation to play at Denver in a back-to-back. But Heaven forbid... we did it and won both games of this back-to-back. I am really surprised at my Rockets' progress so far this season.

Congratulations to all other teams who won from Friday's games. Better luck next time to those who lost.

Patty Mills and the Raptors are both playing well of late.
What a season Westbrook is having!

There was something I omitted from the Rockets at Nuggets game last night. James Harden became the first Houston Rockets player in franchise history to score a three-pointer in each of the first 20 games of the season. That is surely a cool stat. Besides that, I kind of like the Rockets' black uniforms with the white lettering and the red Rockets logo. I prefer the usual red and white Rockets colors, though.

James Harden is the truth this season, but so too is Montrezl Harrell. This guy's been beast!

The Boston Celtics met my Houston Rockets here in H-Town. The Boston Celtics tried to win on a late layup... but Al Horford bricked that layup. So... we'll take the 107-106 win. 37 points for James Harden.

Congratulations to all other winners from Monday.

On right now is the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Toronto Raptors. But there's a difference in tonight's game. It's the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Toronto... Huskies? I had to look up Google Images and Wikipedia on this one. The Toronto Huskies were a team that played only one season in the Basketball Association of America. They played in the 1946-1947 season. Toronto traded their current colors for the Huskies' blue and white colors tonight.

Strange. Anyhow, enjoy some NBA hoops tonight, fine folks of GTPlanet.

One of the big matches slated for Friday night was my Houston Rockets at the Oklahoma City Thunder. Russell Westbrook knocked down another triple-double (7th straight), but this one ended in a 102-99 win for the Houston Rockets. The next triple-double by James Harden would tie him with Hakeem Olajuwon for most triple-doubles by a Rockets' player. Unfortunately, he got a double-double with 29 points and 12 assists. All he needed was one more rebound to complete a triple-double, but he had only nine rebounds. The sheet on Westbrook tonight: 27 points, 10 assists, and 10 rebounds. But again- Rockets win on this night 102-99.

Also with the Houston Rockets, reports indicate Donatas Motiejunas signed a four-year deal with HOU worth about $31M USD.

Elsewhere...

I read LeBron James passed Elvin Hayes for 9th all time in points scored. The Cleveland Cavaliers won 114-84 at home against the Miami Heat behind LeBron's 27 points.

Congratulations to Friday's other winners, including a win by another Texas NBA team- the Dallas Mavericks at home over the Indiana Pacers.

That last play was awful. Nothing but ISO by Westbrook and his defender while the OKC team literally stood around.

109-87, Houston defeats Dallas here in H-Town. Red Nation rocking again completeing this back-to-back with back-to-back wins. Big Nasty Beard (James Harden) had a double-double with 18 points and 16 assists. On the Dallas side, it was Wesley Matthews who accounted for 26 points for the Mavericks. Houston is still 2nd in the Southwest while Dallas is dead last in the Southwest. We are now 17-7 while Dallas is now 5-18. I find this real surprising because Dallas usually is much better than what the record shows. I know I'm a Rockets fan, and I know we have the Houston-Dallas rivalries, but I respect Dallas. Maybe not as much as I respect San Antonio, but things just haven't clicked so far for Dallas.

Congratulations to all other winners from Saturday.

Look who shown up into Houston tonight- the Brooklyn Nets. From the bright lights of New York City down to the Dirty South. Brooklyn and Houston played some roundball. And the game ended 122-118 in favor of the Houston Rockets. So that's seven straight wins by the Houston Rockets. I don't know what's working, but I hope they can keep this up. James Harden was a good little boy today cashing in 36 points to help the Rockets' cause. Gordon did good too with his 24 points for the Rockets.

Congratulations to your teams if they won on this Monday night.

THIS JUST IN...

The NBA and NBPA have agreed to tentative deal on a new CBA. So we will not have a situation like in 2011 when the whole trying to agree to something condenses the season. There will still be the "One and Done" deal in college basketball. Glad the two sides were able to work something out and not have it adversely affect a season.
