[NE-21194400] Error

Which makes it all the more baffling why anyone would do this after how hard SimCity tanked because of always-online features.

It's to help ensure no cheating. If the save is not local, it cannot be tampered with. Sim City isn't a competitive game.

...well, how come then that we have our car park when not online, and everything is there together with credits and milage points?

If you want to make your life harder, then it is. :P

You don't need to. Just wait for the servers to be up and running again.

There is no other way around, I'm afraid.

Not wish bf to be negative but if this outage is due to heavy use/demand then what chance is there of it easing over the next few days? And I wonder what the PD staffing arrangements are over Christmas.

Remember how the save file in GT5 and GT6 could be accessed to change car parts and such?

Online saving prevents that.

It was down yesterday (saturday). After long time I got online again. Today I just tried to get online, but nothing. Connection is down again here in Brazil
:(

Anyone know Japanese? Don't wanna rely on Google Translate.

I go to authentication at PSN upon startup. The problem is happening now. Somehow it is repelled without passing properly. If you can clear it there, you will only be able to communicate with the user and the GT server, so you can play without problems. I am sorry for the trouble.

This is the answer that came up for me when i tried it on google translate.

I played yesterday for a couple of hours too.

Haven't try it today though. I will, if i get home.

Hmm, i have a bad feeling about this!

Regardless of whether it is on the PSN side or the PD side the end result leaves the people that have bought and paid for a game and many times an added subscription to PS+ for online play unable to access and play the game and service they paid for.

Also in the end since PD is owned by Sony it is a Sony FAIL.

I played the endurance race offline on the Professional league. 60mins on Nurburgring GP. Drive consistently and can be won on 1 stop. But. No offline save so at least I know how to do it next time ;)

If you can clear it there...

That's everything and nothing!

Who knows what than means and how we should proceed on that matter. lol

That obsoletes the reason to play GT sport, as your progress will not count the next time you start the game and the servers are down again.

If you don't exit the game, you can save all your progress when the servers is back online:

Now - as it is, you have no local save at all.
Yes we do, when i was offline, i had all my cars in my garage and credits, so that is saved on our PS4 HD, everything else is at PD.

I second that! ;)

While the system does not come back, I'm converting my replays already captured to full screen in the Share Factory (139% zoom).

Online saving prevents that.

Come to think of it, BoP and forcing a default setup ought to do enough prevent that - the only thing coming from your save then is that you have the car, and any livery. And if tuning was allowed, for Sport mode races they could easily do a check that everything was within limits before letting you join (or let you join then kick you with a suitable SR/DR loss - ha!).

The big counter to that is if they're still basically using a GT6 save format, with extra bits added. (There's no hint to suggest they are, but it's) possible.

Oh really?

So, i should wait - for who knows how long, for the servers being back. Right...

I have a life too, you know. ;)

Yes, that was you last working save before the servers where going down.

Of course you have all your cars, from your last working save, as the servers where working the last time you played the game.

Now, just try to play again (with the existing situation) and tell me if any car you buy will count the next time to start the game again and the servers continue to be down.

Jut make a try. Buy something - exit the game completely and then restart the game again.

You will see what i mean.

got in after 4 hours trying on and off,,, went in for the nations cup, qualified on pole for the 1st time in an fia event (prob cause no one online) and it crashed during warm up...... now can’t get back in
