[NE-21194400] Error

Come to think of it, BoP and forcing a default setup ought to do enough prevent that - the only thing coming from your save then is that you have the car, and any livery. And if tuning was allowed, for Sport mode races they could easily do a check that everything was within limits before letting you join (or let you join then kick you with a suitable SR/DR loss - ha!).

The big counter to that is if they're still basically using a GT6 save format, with extra bits added. (There's no hint to suggest they are, but it's) possible.

Maybe not. If, for instance, you put the RCZ engine in the Merc GT, the defaults would not necessarily need to change for an advantage to be had. Same with putting the Bugatti drivetrain in the Megane.

In any event, I'm not saying it's absolutely preventing cheating, just that it helps to prevent it.

Finally back in after restarting the game and hitting reconnect a few times. Hopefully I won't get the "CE-Error" that usually happens once or twice per session and have to start over.

So, i should wait - for who knows how long, for the servers being back. Right...
I have a life too, you know.

I understand that, but you can put your PS4 into sleep mode while the game is running in the background and save the game later, but just remember to go to power saving settings and tick off these two, before you put the PS4 in sleep mode:

got in after 4 hours trying on and off,,, went in for the nations cup, qualified on pole for the 1st time in an fia event (prob cause no one online) and it crashed during warm up...... now can’t get back in

At least, it was your time worth! ;)

>If you don't exit the game, you can save all your progress when the servers is back online and connect back to the servers in the game.

Oh really?

>Yes we do, when i was offline, i had all my cars in my garage and credits, so that is saved on our PS4 HD, everything else is at PD

Yes, that was you last working save before the servers where going down.

Of course you have all your cars, from your last working save, as the servers where working the last time you played the game.

Now, just try to play again (with the existing situation) and tell me if any car you buy will count the next time to start the game again and the servers continue to be down.

Jut make a try. Buy something - exit the game completely and then restart the game again.

You will see what i mean.
Perfect time to take that multi million dollar car on a free test drive to decide if you really want to buy it!

Am I the only one picturing loads of people 'stealing' my PD connection and using it to grind 'photo/livery likes' awards, or having left there controller taped up earning mileage points while they are down the pub?

I've wrapped xmas presents, watched the latest Grand Tour episode and decided to take veyron around nurb in PSVR.

Yep, i know that.

Well, i prefer to shut off my PS4 Pro if I'm not at home.

I know, that's a problem on my side. :P

Game is working for me after trying over and over earlier on today.this time i got the error initially but trying the reconnect to server it worked 1st time, ive had 2 races since and still working!

Tried spamming, restarting, clearing temp files, and nothing.

This is basically what prevented me from buying GTS at regular price to begin with. I never bought it at launch because I really throughly this online only stuff was a really bad idea. Regardless I bought it on a good sale so I couldn’t resist lol.

I’ve got free time that I was hoping to get some sport races in but uhhh... guess not

Yeah, that's what I meant about the GT5/6 save format, which let you swap engines etc. TBH, I've no idea what business all that had being in the save file back then either! But it would make even less sense now, with no tuning shop parts to track.

It’s been little bit more than a hour since I first tried to get online. I played the graduation test from driving school, improved my time there, took some pictures and nothing changed.

Still down the servers are. Very disappointed this is.

Turning down the PS4 now.

Made a Daily Race at suzuka and the lag was preposterous! This had never happened before in sport mode to me. I got hammered on the first lap. Definitely PD servers are not working fine as Kaz is saying. My connection is working just fine.

I have managed to log on a couple of time this afternoon with no problem. (UK). It still took a few attempts though. Looks like it is PSN end. Hopefully it all gets sorted soon.

You can still have some fun races with all the cars and play all the tracks offline in arcade/custom mode and set up your own matches (just forget about the crs until this is sorted).

In his tweet Kaz specifically says that PSN is rejecting connections from GT Sport, also seeing on social media that PSN as a whole is having problems.

My game has been down for about 15 hours... I wouldn't be so peeved about it if they would just let you 🤬 save offline.. But everything is connected to the damn server which is annoying as hell...

It looks like you somehow got logged into the beta for Gran Turismo Quantum. It's not only about your driving, it's more about the probability of your opponents, you just have to observe it!

I'm surprised so many posts here trying over and over again to try and connect. Why bother? Give up and go and do something else.

This won't be resolved until after Boxing Day, everyone is on holiday.

Wouldn't surprise me if this isn't due to the ever popular seasonal Ddos attacks that occur every so often

People rightly expect PD to put some overtime in since they seemingly "lied" or didn't make things evidently clear to the playerbase, People paid good money for a piece of garbage that doesn't work when they want it to, Most people would return a defective product.

Let's not even think about the amount of people who will be opening their presents tomorrow and getting GT Sport, before firing it up and realising it's barely playable...

What lies?

It’s beyond embarrassing, just tried it now again after spending a fun few hours racing online in Driveclub.. a game that’s no longer even supported as Sony shut the studio down yet that is working just fine.
Kaz can tweet all he wants about the servers being fine and it’s a PSN fault but the fact is that many people are going to be seriously disappointed tomorrow when they unwrap their shiny new game only to find what we’ve experienced these last 24 hours..
