I don't mind if Need For Speed (2015) turns out to be heavily influenced by the concept of No Limits, I just hope it won't be the exact same game running a Frostbite 3 graphics engine.
Hehe...you and me both but signs are looking more and more likely this will become the case! Also, get this.
About...possibly a few weeks ago now I was looking through there twitter feed and I noticed something significant, very significant to justify my worries.
They are wanting to bring FREE ROAM to NFS No Limits as it's something "fans are really wanting to see" which to me...heavily, heavily backs up the idea that NFS2015 is either going to one of two things:
1) A complete copy and paste, frost bite 3 engine version of NFS No Limits that has parity with the mobile game, stuff you do in no limits, influences what you do in NFS2015 and vice versa, both games work together, thus, have similar content, similar cars and other parity things
2) The mobile app will be a seperate extension to the main game in a similar way the watch dogs app was for watch dogs, similar to above but a totally different game, you can share tuning, customization and performance profiles between games but everything else is seperate.
I realise they sound similar but the main different between 1 and 2 is 1 is essentially the exact same games paired together and 2 is a companion app of sorts.
This trailer needs to do more than show visual customization, it needs to show performance too, the impact of the performance, the feeling and audio differences, a livery editor (which I seriously seriously doubt we'll have as it's not in No Limits, however, we may have "sticker" packs as the BRZ has some speedhunters logos on it, but, not a full editor.
I need to be blown away, but the closer it gets to monday, the more I feel as if we'll be flicked off...this is NFS last chance, ever ever ever for me, I'd hate to be Ghost Games right now, it's all on EA.
