Been checking the NFS Twitter page lately and looks like it became a car showcase for users who are devoted to the livery editor.

While I'm someone who likes to keep their cars clean, I can't deny some of those creations are just insane.

I wish Ghost would implement a way to upload and download liveries, a la Modnation. But I guess then your car wouldn't be unique anymore.

1.Manual will be added as DLC later (all DLC is going to be free, so don't start bitching)
2. It's Need for Speed. They tried something new, and it's a bit quirky. Pretty sure in the coming updates it will be addressed.
3. Answered your own concern... from dusk til dawn. That's it.
4. Good point... however NFS has been leanimg towards tacky filters, excess action shots, etc. They want it to be like a movie that you have full control of. Kinda like the Uncharted series (as an idea, not comparing two differenr genres here)
5. Never had a cockpit view for Underground, Underground 2, Hot Pursuit, Hot Pursuit "2", World, The Run etc. The only NFS I remember having cockpit was NFS Porsche Unleashed. It's just the way the franchise has been.

If you're not satisfied with it return it.. when you bought the game, you fully understood it's NFS (no need to even mention handling/realism), and it's EA, known for poor servers and poor management in release.

Personally, the biggest gripe I've had with it is the constant calls. Not only does your.crew call you all the time, but the dialogue just keeps repeating itself if you didn't do X drift event or Y race against Spike, etc.
I fail to see how any of this is any justification for what he posted.

Ghost, if you're reading this, keep up the pace and don't let the hate get y'all down. We all drink a can of Monster Energy for you guys.

Funny you should mention that, that's the only thing I find annoying about the cutscenes in this game. The characters all toast drinks, go to bars and dance around at party scenes like they would if they're drunk, but they're all just downing can after can of Monster, soda or even water. It's ridiculous. :P

Gotta keep the game rating to Teen yo.

I bought this game yesterday. And to be honest im kind of surprized.
The game looks awsome and after a while i got used to the cutscenes. i like how they managed to put your own car into some of them. The wrap editor is awsome. you can really make whatever you want with it! very nice. i also like how the body mods are actual real bodykits that can be bought in real life. The engine sounds are pretty good aswell.

i didnt like the driving physics at first but after playing with the set up for a while i noticed it makes a huge impact on how the car drives. and after a few tweaks here and there i kinda like it. i just won the component parts race wich was quite a bit more difficult then the other races so far. The R34 GTR and alot of nitrous got me over the finish line 1st haha.

Still figuring out how the drifting works although i win the events without too much trouble. i've just build a 180sx for drifting and it makes it a whole lot easier. somehow my 800hp E46 M3 still wants to grip haha. (one note about the 180sx though, i made a Sileighty out of it but when i left the garage i noticed the normal silvia headlights were still acting as pop up headlights haha. that something they still need to adress.

But finally they made a NFS that reminds me of the Underground and Most Wanted games. about time!
it does have some flaws but i can live with them.

I've been playing this for 2 days now and I'm really disappointed in it. The cars are great and the customising is good, but it all goes from there.

I hate the handling on this game with a passion and it's completely ruined the game. The steering is really numb, you have the choice of going sideways and into walls, or going in a straight line and into walls. For some unbeknown reason the car wants to steer itself and the rubber banding on the cars is absolutely ridiculous, I get way ahead for to be passed right before the finish line despite being at least 6 or 7 seconds ahead from the start.

Huge disappointment for what looks to be a decent game.

Watching these video's why does it seem vehicles with 1000HP, accelerate so slowly, and no wheel spin while take off in the rain? Wut.

It should've been in the game in the first place. It's like creating a first person shooter, but taking away the ability to reload your gun whenever you want. You have to use your entire magazine before the game automatically reloads for you.
That would actually be kind of interesting, but yeah. The point still stands.
The potential in this game is so large but the emptiness of the city is insane, honestly.
Well, it is night time. Better than having cars just pop up out of nowhere.

Launch control maybe?

I mean even with Launch Control, vehicles with 1000HP, in rain should have wheel spin..

There's probably a bunch of hidden assists and such that stop cars getting huge amounts of wheelspin.

Quick question:

I'm waiting until X-mas for this game and an Xbox One. Thing is I'm already getting some ideas for customizing some cars. My question is this: the wrap for the M3 (the infamous Most Wanted one) can I change the paint of it or does is stay blue?

Ventura Bay is a huge city, it would not be that empty.

You would be surprised how some cities are at night.

But it could still have a bit more traffic at least. I'm guessing they're trying to make it less of an interruption as previous games.

Played the game for a few days so I might as well share my thoughts.

-snip snip-

All in all, I'd say its a pretty solid effort. Again, a few of the choices which have been mentioned about a million times already are downright stupid, but the majority of that could be patched over. I hope EA doesn't do a bait and switch with developers again, because it definitely shows potential. 👍

^I can't like this review enough.

From what I've seen in the videos, reviews, and lets plays, Ghost's effort in the game is shown in quite number of ways, and definitely has potential to be so much more. But that's the problem, some core problem still stays (eg: online outages, I really don't agree on that aspect of a racing game, ruined Rivals for me) but there are noticeable improvements that shows that they're on the right path. (graphics, customization potential, staying true to the cheesy cliche'd story line)

I can see that its not a BAD game, but neither it's a good one in my books. They have a solid base to work on and a lot of untapped potential. With the addition of the already mentioned improvements, this can turn out to be the ultimate Need For Speed.

Don't take this as a negative review for those who've already purchased the game, I'm pretty sure you guys have done your research and had fun playing the game despite its shortcoming. This is just another point of view from another ol' NFS fan whom Rivals left him some bad taste.

I hope Ghost Games knows that while they have put a lot of effort to reinvigorate the NFS franchise (and shows it in various ways), there's a lot of potential for the game to be so much more, and hope they'll add/fix this in an update, or make the next one using all the knowledge and expertise they acquired after fixing the mistakes of this game.

Cheers.
