I don't know why people are praising this game, its horrible, it could have been such a great and fantastic game but alas, its fking terrible,
  1. No Manual (it's a racing game)
  2. The handling (given its an arcade NFS but when you can turn the corner better with the handbrak / e-brake somethings broken)
  3. No daytime (I get that they are trying for the illegal street race night atmosphere but come on)
  4. Graphics (while sometimes its stunning, its flawed, sometimes it looks like a hipster Instagram post with stupid filters, the police lights are annoying as ****! Darkness sometimes things jump out cause you literally couldn't see them and its always raining or seems like it is, rain on the third person camera like why?
  5. Cockpit View (enough said given most people don't use it (apparently from studies))
Just a handful of things and like no real interaction with other online players, a session is like 8 people (yourself and 7 others) forget joining a friend their session will be full. No interaction via chat in game unless your in a party chat.

I am going to give it another day/night and if I feel the need to rage quit it will be returned and the money will be put towards Battlefront.

Any amount of excitement I had for this game (Which wasn't much at all) was just killed:

Perfect video to sum up how it actually plays.

If this company would stop mass producing need for speed games, and focus on what the community wants, or have a goal what they want their end product to be, this game has the potential to be a good.

Money talks, so I doubt they'll put much time into this before they drop their next title and ask people once again for more money.

You'd think a warning for inappropriate posts once in a week would be enough for some people. Post deleted.

The AI in this game makes GT's AI look like a bunch of vehicular Einsteins. I'm blown away by how poor their spatial awareness is, and how much the game relies on rubber-banding. Just did a touge race in my NA, and routinely had the pack fly by me on the straights... then wait at the next corner.

One thing I will give the game credit for: the rim choices are excellent.

After one day, I'm at 44%, with barely any teleporting to events (and some casual cruising to balance that). Huh.

This time when it exited me to the main menu, I lost all controls to the car. I can bring up the map and thats about it....

The problem is they don't sell us games anymore, they sell us trailers, screenshots and HYPE. I was so hyped for this game I would have pre-ordered it if it had released on PC and I would probably pretend I like it to justify the money I spent. But in reality it's an unfinished mess with almost none of the content it advertised in the trailers, as soon as I saw the beta my hype completely disappeared.

So the usual EA bugs or are there less of them?

I haven't kept track per se, but it's about every 10-15 min. before I get kicked out. Enough to complete one race, yay! But yes, per the norm

I'd much rather play the game in offline mode with random AI, vs being forced to be online at all times and if/when it hiccups I get to stare at the controller loading screen. Which by the way, is there a rear look button?

So glad I did not attempt to buy this game. It would have been $60 wasted. Sad, because it could have been so much more. For shame.

1.Manual will be added as DLC later (all DLC is going to be free, so don't start bitching)
2. It's Need for Speed. They tried something new, and it's a bit quirky. Pretty sure in the coming updates it will be addressed.
3. Answered your own concern... from dusk til dawn. That's it.
4. Good point... however NFS has been leanimg towards tacky filters, excess action shots, etc. They want it to be like a movie that you have full control of. Kinda like the Uncharted series (as an idea, not comparing two differenr genres here)
5. Never had a cockpit view for Underground, Underground 2, Hot Pursuit, Hot Pursuit "2", World, The Run etc. The only NFS I remember having cockpit was NFS Porsche Unleashed. It's just the way the franchise has been.

If you're not satisfied with it return it.. when you bought the game, you fully understood it's NFS (no need to even mention handling/realism), and it's EA, known for poor servers and poor management in release.

Personally, the biggest gripe I've had with it is the constant calls. Not only does your.crew call you all the time, but the dialogue just keeps repeating itself if you didn't do X drift event or Y race against Spike, etc.

Wait, are you actually serious? I can't tell if you're being sarcastic.

Yes I'm dead serious.

Why is there such hatred for.the game? Do you guys do your research before getting it? I knew damn well what I was getting myself into. A game that will last me hours just on customization alone. I knew the physics were quirky, knew there was no manual, knew there was going to be server issues...

And yet, you guys are tearing it apart as if you were promised a sim-racer and got an arcade-racer.

People are complaining about buying the game and saying they will return it based on the things which EA announced prior to the release. If you are going to buy a game at least put some research into it because all I see is repitition and in a sense Deja vu in reading some of these comments.

Yes... AS OF RIGHT NOW, you're stuck with auto.

You guys do know that for the past week(s), YouTubers have gotten early access to the game. Giving you a week to see almost all the features of the game.

DLCs are in the works.
I don't think EA have announced anything associated in adding manual unless you got a source?

I didn't buy it because I knew there would be huge flaws as always with new games published by EA. Like FailRace said in the video I posted, this is a game meant to be focused around car culture. You can not keep something like manual transmission out of something meant to appeal to people heavily interested in the tuning scene. I know I'm wording this poorly, but that is one of the most idiotic things Ghost could've done with this game. How can you defend this when just about every other racing game on the market has the option, especially ones made years ago.

Nevermind what Alex said. He made some valid points, but you don't compare NFS to other racing titles. It's like comparing COD to Battlefield, and then ARMA.

Alex got pissy with the fact that NFS got better reception than pCARS. That's because we've been waiting for this for a decade.

ONE little detail, is not going to make me diss the game, rip it a new one, and start ranting. Why? Because I'm happy seeing that we FINALLY have NFS Underground level of customization in a game. The graphics, sounds, customization, cut scenes - yes, I personally like them - outweigh that one little detail. So what? It's going to come eventually. If it never does, so be it.

It should've been in the game in the first place. It's like creating a first person shooter, but taking away the ability to reload your gun whenever you want. You have to use your entire magazine before the game automatically reloads for you. Then, weeks or months later after people tell you that you've made an idiotic design choice, you create a patch which lets them manually reload.

No, it's like making a first person shooter, and restricting the player to infantry combat. And then comparing the game to other first person shooters that have vehicular support/combat.

NFS is exactly like COD of the racing world. It had cockpit for a couple of games, that was taken away. It had manual, for a couple of titles, that was taken away.

Now you take that, and compare it to other racing titles. Well... that's how it is.

Yes it should be there.. just like the fact that in COD when you see a tank, jeep, etc, you should be able to drive it, but you can't, not since World at War.
