Need For Speed (2015)

I'm happy that I had a decent amount of time with the game over the weekend. I'm almost at 50% I think. A couple questions for those that are finished/nearly finished with the game:

1) Are the Xcess drift tires better for drifting events or am I crazy? I still use my RX-7 for my drift events, got a >200K drift run early on and just kept upgrading her. But every time I put the 'best' drift tires on, the car gets crazy with oversteer and I slam head-first into walls. The same with the NSX I had.

2) Would my >1K HP GT-R be enough to win that Components Race? Is that the last race, basically?

3) Anyone else get kicked to the main menu after about 10-15min? Recently, it just does it once and then I can play for a few hours straight.

4) What is the limit of cars we can have in our garage, 5?

1. Uh, from what I gathered from a friend who is more of a drifter than I am, if you're driving with those tires, then yeah, you will slam head first into just about any and everything. For my drifts, I usually buy the drift tires that don't have too much grip or too much drift properties.

It's almost best to just teleport straight there with a drift car..

2. That should be more than plenty to win the race. The video I posted above was just over 800hp. Component Parts is about 80% done with the Build story.

3. I haven't been kicked yet.

4. Yes, the limit is 5.

1) I didn't do enough testing with the tires to know for sure what they do. Seem to be more prone to oversteer, yeah, though it also seems like you can keep your speed up more while drifting. So they're probably more useful for the Drift Train events.

2) It should be enough, yes. It's not the last race, but it's definitely the hardest, so you're over the hill after it.

3) I had my first disconnect yesterday, so not the same experience at all there.

4) Yep, 5 is it. Don't buy all five until you're done the Build and Speed storylines though, since you need specific cars for both of those. Also, I know there's a 250hp challenge at some point in Speed, but there's also a 200hp one in the Outlaw strand. So keep that in mind if you're planning on completing the game. I just detuned my NA for both.

With all the cans in the cutscenes why are there no Monster Energy stickers?

Ken Block is in the game, but no Ken Block decals?! Besides the Hoonigan stuff.

Risky Devil has also no decals, although Magnus has a ton?!

You can put Falken tires on the car, but no brand stickers at all?! I think Idlers too.

Also, this + Fully tuned Huracán w/ GT3 body kit = Curb-stomp ensues.




I wish, though, that there was an EA Trax-esque feature, so that I could blast this out while smoking other racers.

Yeah, you just can't go wrong with artists like the Chemical Brothers, the Prodigy, Modestep, Trentemøller, Wolfgang Gartner, the Glitch Mob, HudMo, and the folks from Hospital and Monstercat. People were probably expecting "Get Low" from Underground 1 or stuff like that.

Also, did anyone notice that one of the artists from the soundtrack for Fifty Shades of Grey is in the game's playlist as well?
I know, it's funny - horrible film, awesome soundtrack. And yes, it's a remix. But still, it counts... Right?

The only way you'll get the final clips/races (yes, there's a few separate from the five paths) is to do all five to completion.

If you want to get to the game's true ending you have to complete all 5 career paths and win the final two events Robyn invites you to. Trust me, though, the true ending is awesome.

I honestly think this game has the 2nd worst soundtrack next to Watch Dogs soundtrack. I happen to hate EDM/Dubstep though. For me nothing beats GTAV's soundtrack.

Anybody else not like how the paint is much different in your garage VS driving? I painted my RSR 911 a classic 70's metallic brown and when I got out it was nearly black because of the "always night" driving. I also noticed certain lighter blue colors appear greener when driving. If you paint your car a light blue/teal it will look more like a greenish teal. I thnk its the "instagram" color filters they clearly add when your driving.

edit: this just occurred to me. I was thinking about how this game takes place in a very loosely based "LA" and I realized something. There's no LA rivers in the game! I really cant believe they didnt put the LA rivers in the game. Racing in them would make for some pretty great races, not only that but its always raining in the game too, so you think splashing through some water in the LA river would be a no brainer.
