Played this game a couple days ago at a friend's house, and to be honest I actually enjoyed playing it,but there's a lot of things that needs to be improved,So I'll give the game a couple of months to see how everything evolves before I purchase it.

Yes! Nice little features that they're adding. It's nice that they're listening to the fans and fixing the game with our feedback. Example of that is the neons and the mirror wrapping.

Hopping for more cars soon too!

Was about to post on this.

Aha, let the car live :D

Does the demo have online?

I was experiencing the steering, gas and brake lag for the first time last night, after awhile and joining a new session, the car was responsive like I was used to. I believe the whole game is dependent on how their servers are doing.

Yes, the demo has online, I seen a few other players' cars when I was playing it.

Just got 100% completion. Now what I am I going to do on this game?

Hey, lots of the games such as SSX, Final Fantasy, GT or whatever you like (NFS for ex.) has more bigger/harder/selfmade challenges than just get 100% of completion or the Platinum itself. Collecting cars, increasing your skills, finding interesting stuff, etc. Just enjoy the game. For me actually, Platinum is the first step to know the game... All the fun will come after this.

I bought a Ferrari 458 yesterday and raced it, completely stock, and it wasn't great. The understeer was ridiculous and simply did not feel like a Ferrari. However, when I widened the tyres, dropped the ride height, put full camber on the front and equipped the GT3 bodykit, it completely vanished. I didn't think that an arcade-style game could possibly simulate the effects of that because if you widened the tyres in other games like Midnight Club LA, there was no difference in performance. Well done Ghost Games:sly:

i think the different is from the downforce from GT3 kit

Try Tokyo Xtreme Racer Zero.

Don't fall for EA ********, this is something that they should've added when game was released. Clearly EA decided to take our money first and then listen to what we have to say, even though during beta many people said neon must be added before release ... otherwise whats the point of a beta?

... otherwise whats the point of a beta?

The beta phase of a game, by and large, is to give it the product the once over and try to root out any critical/major bugs that could negatively effect gameplay, or even terminate it. They do tweaks to it to improve stability, for example (which would/should be the priority), but in this case they could afford to listen to any feedback and hold off on it until a later date, due to their promise to add stuff in later updates... as they've done here.

I've no idea how long it would've taken to implement neon (I'm not a game dev after all) but imagine if they'd heeded your advise and did a rush job on it to be ready for release, all sorts of issues could've arisen. From the top of my head, I can think of scenarios from a case of simple malfunctioning (intermittent flickering) to conflicts with the lighting engine... one thing could lead to another.

Very true.

I upped my BRZ to 500BHP and still can't beat Magnus on Business or Pleasure. I refuse to bow down, I will do this.

Speed is the only path I have over 20% completion for so Amy's parts are out of the question.

EDIT: FINALLY DID IT!

1.Manual will be added as DLC later (all DLC is going to be free, so don't start bitching)
2. It's Need for Speed. They tried something new, and it's a bit quirky. Pretty sure in the coming updates it will be addressed.
3. Answered your own concern... from dusk til dawn. That's it.
4. Good point... however NFS has been leanimg towards tacky filters, excess action shots, etc. They want it to be like a movie that you have full control of. Kinda like the Uncharted series (as an idea, not comparing two differenr genres here)
5. Never had a cockpit view for Underground, Underground 2, Hot Pursuit, Hot Pursuit "2", World, The Run etc. The only NFS I remember having cockpit was NFS Porsche Unleashed. It's just the way the franchise has been.

If you're not satisfied with it return it.. when you bought the game, you fully understood it's NFS (no need to even mention handling/realism), and it's EA, known for poor servers and poor management in release.

Personally, the biggest gripe I've had with it is the constant calls. Not only does your.crew call you all the time, but the dialogue just keeps repeating itself if you didn't do X drift event or Y race against Spike, etc.
Boom!

Oh the joys of always online gaming...
Nothing like losing the designs you were working for hours because of server issues, or being kicked out of the game every other 15 minutes because of it.

Seriously I love this game, but this always online non sense needs to go. It brings in no benefits to the game just annoyances and a expiration date (when they decide to shut down the servers).

I freaking love the sounds of these cars. They absolutely nailed car sounds in the game. The M4 on hood cam just sounds like huge turbos sucking in massive gulps of air I love it. The NSX engine sounds nearly identical to my fathers old NSX (Although the intake noise is only noticeable on the hood/ bumper cam which makes little sense) And the E46 M3 sounds just like one, rasp and all.

Hey, I know we had stopped talking about the Component Parts race, but how fast have you guys ran through that race?

I ran through the race in 1:57.98

The point of the beta is make sure the game is working right and to get feedback on what needs to be fixed. This takes priority over adding new content.

It sounds like they got overconfident with the release date and decided to rely on updates, considering how late the beta was.
