Are Valenti taillights licensed? If I remember they were listed as a 'GHOST' part implying it's original. But then like the Nismo GT4 wheels for the R34, they're just labeled as an original part under 'NEED FOR SPEED'.

P.S. The R32 gets new N1 style headlights, has anyone reported that before?

According to this video, "Valenti" is written above the description but the Ghost logo remains.

Well Rivals is clunky, with traffic collisions and those weird "out of the blue" moments when the cars bounces off the barries etc. and flies of the road. The Run is not any better.
Collisions are definitely an issue I've noticed, but as far as driving was concerned, The Run was a lot less awkward than this game. As for Rivals, I haven't played enough of it to really say anything about it.

They really need to address this 'phantom steering' nonsense. I can log the number of times the car has steered itself into a wall, a fishtail, or another vehicle.

It's beyond aggravating.

This. Happened a lot to me while I'm drifting, I'd start then all of a sudden my car would get pulled into a wall. Also when another car hits mine it appears if my car just stops steering. (No it's not the force of the hit)

If they're planning to somehow add wheel support there would have to be a physics change because at this rate I don't see using a wheel as too great of a choice.

Imagine what the force feedback is going to do when the phantom steering occurs. It'll be all over the place.

Another thing I'm wondering about, as it'll be at odds with how the game is currently, is how will manual shifting work with their obvious rubber banding? The game holds onto gears far too long at times and realistically if we're manually shifting, one AI advantage is wiped out.

When Need for Speed tries to steer for you

If anything, the only thing I could think of as a way to take a picture of your car (or other cars) in motion is to have the ability to have a replay of some sort, something akin to how you can make a short clip in the PS4.
Entering photomode should be produce a still 3d image that you can edit. It's odd with the current set up they choose, especially considering all the people that ram you when they see you sitting still. I've had so many people ruin my photo that way.

Disagree. I've put a lot of time in Rivals and The Run, and in the latter game, I've never had my car crash out from a mere wall tap like what tends to happen in Rivals and NFS 2015. The two games are very different from each other.

But speaking of The Run, I miss Black Box. I think they could've made a better NFS 2015 than Ghost. I'm not sure what the future of NFS is, but if the next game has these bizzare, Burnout-style physics, I'll pass.

Rivals handles better for me, it was alot more predictable.

NFS's handling seems fine at first with the slow cars and areas with wide lanes, but when you get to the tricky stuff it's downhill fast.

I've rage quit this game so many times.

After playing the game for a while, I can't help but wonder why EA won't give up doing car games.

The handling model's ripped straight out of Battlefield and it shows - most of the times I feel like I'm driving a T90 tank. And then there's the phantom steering and the faux-understeer (the game will simply stop detecting any input given to the steering for a second or two). And the automatic shifting which is just terrible. All of these "features" seem to be put to good use by the game in order to rubber-band in the AI favor.
And then there's the random racer who is not part of your race and will plow into you coming from the wrong direction.

But those are only the most glaring issues. The career's poorly designed, and the game in general provides very little stimuli. There are plenty of body parts available, sure, but the selection of wheels feel a little lackuster, many options are glitched (what, you want to go back to the stock soft top on your MX5? Good luck!), the wrap editor is a joke, and so is the tuning. The graphics are good, sure... But without a proper day/night cycle most of the work done on the details of the cars and the environment is lost.

Besides, if it rained that often, there wouldn't be a drought in California.

Then you have very low standards, I'm not talking about the realism of the physics but how the response is very slow and has a mind of it's own. People giving Ghost kudos for making the handling customizable between Grip and Drift when both are equally terrible.

It's bad after a lot of fiddling with the settings and testing by me, I'm not even going to talk about how I thought My DS4 was broken when I first draw the Civic in the first race only to find out that this actually was the actual handling.

I'm usually not harsh about arcade handling models but I can't remember playing worse.
I can, it's tokyo Xtreme racer drift 2.

My first platinum trophy! Hahahaha it was pretty easy, but still. I played this game 36 hours, and haven't played anything else. Man this game is awesome. I'm a bit sad that there isn't much morenew stuff to do.

Does anyone know if your liveries will be deleted when you reset your progress?

Thanks Mog, my 180 is a little less than 700 I think, have you got drift stability off?
I have drift stability on, I should probably turn it off now though.
EDIT: I turned drift stability off and my S15 now drifts like a dream! :D

Will try those @Moglet I had it off and it was easier to initiate a drift but phantom steering kicks in on exit. I had to sell the 180 I couldn't take it anymore.

On the subject of physics, I can't help but think Gran Turismo 1's physics would make a great arcade racer now. It's pad friendly, intuitive, allows for drifting but also deep enough to take a while to master. Also it supports performance upgrades!

They should've used something akin to HP 2010, that game was perfect at the sort of drifts this game could only dream about.

This is the game summed up to perfection, especially in regards to gymkhana events:

"Spend all of your time fighting the game, fighting traffic, and fighting with your controller to beat the score (in most cases considerably so) only to lose because you couldn't get to all the checkpoints."

It's to the point where I can only play in short bursts because otherwise there'd be a controller-sized hole in my wall.

EDIT: Well I just deleted it so that won't be a problem anymore.

In photo mode how do you turn your car wheels toward the camera lens? Its impossible or am I missing something?
You use the left stick to select the photo mode option in the menu and then the wheel always go straight.

Scroll all the way down in one of the menus you'll find it in the 3rd menu the one that starts with vignette.

Played a little bit, and I have to say... This game handling model sucks indeed. Hopefully EA/Ghost will realize it soon and swap it with the handling model of one of the older Frostbite-based NFS games.

Sprint events: the AI won't use the "NOS", will wait for you - despite being supposed to be competing for 1st place.
Drift Train events: the AI will use nitrous and staight-up cheat to put as much space as possible between you and them.

Sounds legit.

Anyways, is it normal that I can't access the Evasive and the white J's logos that are found on the preset wrap for the NSX?
