So last night, I recorded a bunch of 1st place win PVP videos with the F132. Should I upload them to give people a chance to see what the car is like in a proper race? All of the videos I've seen for the F132 are all drag races.

I'd like to see one. I'm doubtful on buying the F132, mainly due to price. But if it's good enough, I'll consider purchasing one (even if it's to compare against my other high price car: the Diablo).

The F132 price is reasonable. I mean do you expect someone to sell a F1 Hotrod hybrid for a penny? I don't think so. Talking about the performance, the car handles like a real freakin F1 car. Although it can't be upgraded, it's has good acceleration. *I think from the early footage of the update that BlackPanthaa and some other YouTubers posted, the car may have seem more powerful with the acceleration but probably got nerfed. Not sure though.*

Plus $202k for the car, you could make enough money to buy the F132 in less than a hour from grinding.

Well that's really sad that they can't even give the cars the right amount of gears.
My 240z started with 6 gears. Later on I noticed it bumped to 7 with upgrades, I'm just not sure which ones.

I'm thinking it's a carryover from Burnout Paradise and MW 2012 physics where the cars have infinite gears. So basically they just "manualize" the AT gearbox instead of making a proper manual gearbox for every car.

Must say I'm impressed so far. A lot of good editions, but a lot still to be added. At least EA/Ghost has gone in the right direction with this DLC. Finding the pickup Ford a nice little drifter. The 132 is just nuts, but not unbeatably so.

New money Grind: Speed Tunnel Drag Race (about a minute all in with loading included).

I have 8 in my 240Z. And with 2.20 sec from 0-100 you must be very quick on the R-Stick. 29:59 sec in the STDR. The last 100m are just ear bleeding with 365 km/h as the limit.

Yes and with a fast car (which everyone should have in their garage) it has a win guaranty. 👍

It has auto counter steer.

Uh... No? It has a realistic movement of front wheels if you drift, but there's no auto correcting counter steer? Just stupid Traction control if anything.

I doubt it's either. It's some weird phantom/predictive steering nonsense that either extrapolates the tiniest bit of left or right input, causing you to come into contact with things more often than you'd care to, or it's just an incredibly inaccurate preset of axis values.

This isn't the first modern NFS game to suffer from this either, but it just might be the worst yet.

I was talking about GTA's handling

But NFS's is just dumb pretty much.

I was thinking if it was a bit of input lag after the transition from drifting to not drifting, where the handling model panics

Fuel for the fire is still a good alternative taking a few seconds more (1.15 is possible excluding loading). In any case we're good. Add the 5 extra car spaces and the amount of rocket sleds you can have is frightning.

Also the F132 is more than worth the money.

As for the gearing I also find it a little weird that there are extra gears on some of the cars that have never had them.
I also find it a minor issue though as at least you can now select which gear you want. Wonder how the drifters are taking to it.

Rivals had the correct number of gears for each car, so not sure how they managed to make an even worse system for their next game

Well that's NFS for you. IIRC Hot Pursuit 2010 had correct gears as well, then they removed everything for MW 2012 :grumpy:

Most cars had 1 or 2 gears over their real life counterparts, like the 959, Countach and Corvette ZR-1.

Question: anyone encountering a small glitch in Speed Tunnel? I just had a van phase through the ceiling and I'm genuinely confused.

I've had 2 vans and a sedan fall from the ceiling.

Yeah, we might have a small problem.

Perhaps its not as rare an occurrence as I thought then,I can imagine this affecting alot of players if at least 2 of us on a small subforum have experienced it there are surely many more.

The weirder thing is that it only happens when I drive my R32.

Supra, 32 Ford, Mustang...nope. Nothing, zilch, nada.

Either my R32 is haunted, or the other cars are just not affected by it.

Its not the specific car to blame I can say this with confidence because I don't own an R32 Skyline, I think it happened to me whilst driving a Porche 911 "993"

It's happened to me several times and it usually occurs when driving at high speeds since the cars/vans should spawn in before you reach them. You're just seeing them spawn as you're reaching them quickly is all.

I've also seen a van de-spawn in front of me which was weird as I was driving fairly slowly. I've got videos of both, I'll post them later when I'm back at my PC.

I'm finding drifting more controllable after the update with manual gears. You also seem to be able to chain drift a bit easier?

Not sure if this is due to a tweak in the game or my change to the manual gears though, not tried going back to auto yet.

Also do the graphics look cleaner? Did they tone down the film grain or is it me. It just looks cleaner and smoother but maybe it's a placebo effect. : D

The amount of people rage-quitting races in Competitive is absolutely astonishing. I have had over 10-20 people rage quit races just because they weren't first place going into the first corner. I've had people rage-quit simply because they were getting beat using the F132. I've also had people rage-quit in circuit races in a F132 mirror match just because they can't race properly and crash into every wall. There has to be some kind of penalty for constantly quitting races, this is getting ridiculous.
