Well, there's the manual gears, 4K resolution option, and 60fps. Also the Legends update is available.

It has manual and 60fps, but it's missing the photomode and gas station repairs etc from the latest update which is lame.

The first 10 minutes of gameplay for me were very shaky times and I was almost going to get a refund, but the 3 hours I just spent glued to the screen would suggest I'm happy with my purchase :) Few things annoying me are the fact that there's no neutral?? And the fact that my civic came standard with 7 gears is just a big WTF.

Also where the hell is the option to make every car manual? Having to change each one individually via the handling options is annoying af.

What is the name of the song where it sounds a bit country and has a chorus like a guy singing AAAAAAAAaAAAAHHHHHHHHH it appears in events only as far as I can tell. I know it's vague but it's a catchy tune so might ring a bell.

"Get into it" from The Strypes maybe?

For those of you playing the PC version, how well does the game run?

I think it is probably optimized well based on Youtuber comments. I am having framerate issues, but it's due to an aging GPU more than anything I bet. I am using a 690GTX, which is still a capable card, but the latest AAA games require more on-board memory than my card possesses.

It's totally playable, but certainly not 60fps. I get tiny little stutters every few seconds. I wouldn't try playing it with anything less than a 690 or newer.

Yeah, I don't get the whole no neutral thing either. I don't know how many gears my BRZ has because I don't have enough horsepower to need anything past 5th yet :dopey:

After only a few races, I really have no complaints about the handling. Drifting was nigh impossible for me, but I still haven't been able to play much.

Here's a question someone maybe can help me out with:

While shopping for front splitters, there were some options that were "restricted" by the stock Subaru bumper and I couldn't even view them. So I purchased one that wasn't restricted. Now I can't seem to view or change bumpers because of the splitter! Is there a way to remove a part from your car without losing said part? And the retarded thing is, I can't 'buy' a stock bumper, because it isn't unlocked yet! Even though I have a stock bumper on my car and all I want to do is remove a splitter.

Am I just missing something? :dunce: Or is it really this retarded? :banghead:

To remove the splitter you have to remove every modification from the car. Oddly enough, they never included an option to remove certain specific parts like that. So always make sure the splitter is the last thing you put on, just to be safe.

The only things you can remove by itself are spoilers and (for the '32 Ford) the hood, as far as I know. It's a massive afterthought.

For those of you playing the PC version, how well does the game run?

I can do high settings, 1080p and pretty much maintain 60fps all the time. I can even go up to 1440p, but I have to drop some settings. Seems the 4k resolution they bragged on about is true, since the game scales quite well with resolution.

I had a chance to play this, recently.

I only have two things to say.

What on earth is the handling model?

How do you guys even cope?

I haven't coped yet, it's trash. The customization and the photomode is what draws me back, but then you get so little money per race that I'm forced into actually playing the game. I could deal with all the problems the game has, I just can't get used to this one. If they had chose to fix this first, rather than anything else, I would have been much more happy than what we currently have gotten through updates.

I literally despise the fact that cars don't turn whenever they're grip tuned.

And that to be fast, you have to drift. All the time.

And that lightly touching a wall at speed leads to you crashing and flipping your car multiple times.

Graphics are awesome, though.

I wish the handling would've been similar to Driveclub's.

Yeah, DC's handling model is stunning. It'd work pretty well in this.

Magnus Walker's Porsche handles like a dream. Turns when I want it to, and rarely tries to go sideways. I still can't get my Porsche to handle like that..

So, I'm wondering if this is my system or if others have noticed the steering wheel popping out from the car when taking hard inside turns or drifts? Example:

In my memorie, you can remove the splitter on the R32 and R34 in the same way that the spoiler, with Triangle/Y button

I haven't purchased either car so I wouldn't know. Still, even more so odd if that's the case.

You can go in to the main settings on PS4 (main menu home page) and change controller settings to manual and it shows a new pad with manual buttons which works on all cars apart from drag racing. I actually prefer the auto in this game though as manual isn't the best. 👍 IF you are on PC then it should be the same unless it is due in an update - one of the PC guys will have to test & see.

Anyone have any news if this will be on PS4 VR 💡 ?

I'm getting a rock solid 60fps at 1080p on a 970 with a mix of Ultra and high settings, first time I played it the sound cut out and had to restart the game but that never happened again after 3-4 hours.

Yeah I feel like the game is well optimized.... as it should be since they delayed the release. It would be helpful to know your PC specs so other users can get an idea of what to expect with their own systems.

I'm not finding it to be that bad actually. I've only tried the BRZ so far and haven't touched a handling slider yet. I did notice the "magnetic wall phenomena" that others have described, but by my third race I stopped crashing so much and so haven't noticed a serious problem.

Whoa! Nope. Haven't seen that!

On PC there is no global setting for manual gears. At least not yet. I spent 30 minutes trying to find one, not realizing I had to change it in the garage customization screen, which isn't accessible until you finish the prologue. Those knuckleheaded developers LOL.

How is the online stability on PC? I don't have much faith with Origin.

I think I will hold off buying until all the updates are applied and it gets a bit cheaper though. Not really worth $99 IMO.

Pretty stable. Haven't gotten any drops yet.

i checked, and we can remove the front splitter on the R32 et R34, but not the rear one. Just sad that we cannot remove these like the Spoiler :/

Any idea about other cars? (I didn't get to play at all yesterday to try and find out myself).

In other news, the internet connection has been stable for me so far on PC.

I think I found a Supra tune that I semi like for drifting.

However, I drove the Hoonicorn Mustang that you get for free, and it has the best handling for drifting than any of the other cars I've used (very few I've tried out).

Are there any cars that you can customize to drive just like the hoonicorn mustang? Which cars and what are the set ups :$?

I would just drive the hoonicorn mustang for the drift events and stuff, but it doesn't feel right when it's not really your own car lol.

Any help appreciated once again :)
