Need For Speed (2015)

Either my PC is not good enough to load textures at speed (I'm running an Intel Core i5 4670K @ 3.40GHz with Low-Medium settings + TAA), or this game's PC conversion is shoddy as all hell. Seriously, I've lost count at how many times I've fallen through the stage during an intense time trial.
I'm playing on a q9550 and r7 240, 6gb ram all stock speeds, as low as settings can go I believe, and I have had a pretty good experience from the game. I have fallen through the floor a few times too though.

Have you run http://systemrequirementslab.com/cyri to see if they say you meet minimum specs? They will also tell you if you are running Intel, AMD or Nvidia graphics.

Well, here's my settings for everyone:

How close do I have to be to getting caught for it to count as "nearly getting busted"? At least NFS:MW '05 & Carbon had a meter to tell you!

The easyest way I find, you stop your car, wait to the screen start coming white and going up. After 2-3sec, just reverse and you will get a Resisting Arrest like you say.

What the he-? How on Earth did I progress up to the very last race of this game then?

Because the game is very well optimized maybe? I dunno, I'm glad you can play it, but you were complaining about the performance.. I was just offering the answer as to why you might be having issues with it.

I thought so. Even so, I'm very glad they did take the time to optimize it. Now... What cars to try out for Eddie's Challenges?

Probably need a decked-out car. Doesn't have to be the more expensive cars like the F40. Then again the AI can slow down during races... Including Eddie.

Alright, let me attempt to clarify (even though I'll end up confusing everyone more): Seeing as Eddie's Challenges was in the appropriately titled "Legends" update for NFS, which legendary rides should I use?

You're not confusing anyone. It's just interesting that you played the game through without knowing your GPU even though your performance was pretty terrible.

I think any of the rides should do. They're faster than most of the cars you can buy.

I would say Aventador for non Time Attack races because the AI cheats there. For Time Attack races, you need to cheat the AI to win.

Definitely. One minute to go and the AI suddenly sets an impossible laptime...
It happened to me 6 times before eventually I learned that the AIs slow down if you slow down as well. As for the car, the only thing legendary about the Aventador is that it has the Ming vinyl which is weird because Ming used the Gallardo in MW '05 and the Gallardo's successor is in the game so technically GG got the wrong car to add the Ming vinyl.

Sorry Smokey, unfortunately your video card is vastly under-powered for this game.

Here's a handy hierarchy chart for everyone's reference: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388.html
My only problem with NFS is that even though I have a 4870 x2, it doesn't support DirectX 11 so I have to use the r7 240, and the game runs fine on this card, the 7700 should perform better than my card then.

I'm an Nvidia guy rather than AMD, but I know a little bit about their naming system and so I think you are confused. An R7 240 is faster than a 7700 series card. Here's another chart showing only AMD cards (listed from slowest to fastest):

I am very happy about this.:bowdown:

Wait didn't we already have a GTR? I mean the only difference that I can see in this GTR is that it has a different bodykit compared to the GTR we already have so GG should have made this car as a bodykit option to the GTR.

Is it that baffling? We have three different versions of a single car, that are nearly identical.

That I can live with it. Having the 86 triplets/twins is ok because the 86 triplets/twins have a different manufacturer IMO.
They are identical, even more so on a game that does little to imitate real life driving characteristics. I see them as even more of a problem as they are the same exact generation of vehicle. At least the GTR is the next step, and not just a slight fender fin, bumper, or hoods difference. Still, It's free I guess, so there's that.

Also I can't complain because this is free content I forgot but I wonder how much will this GTR be when it hits the dealer in NFS2015?

Eh, I take back what I said, it's just as bad. Are the specs nearly identical?
Well it adds 20hp to the 2014 GTR then its torque has been increased from 463 to 467 pound feet. And I think thats about it.

I would have been happier with adding another, more relevant Z car, but I can't imagine them NOT doing that still at some point in the future. I'm hoping they add the rest of the updates to the PC version soon so it catches up with the consoles. I don't really understand the hold up on that.
