No cockpit view screams of laziness.
The current car models that they're using were never made with cockpit view in mind. If they were to do cockpit view, they would have to redo every interior in the game which would probably take a considerable amount of time.

Would like to see it, but it definitely would'nt have happened with this game at least. Maybe next time.

You are right... BUT!

It looks actually pretty nice. Some animations on dashboard etc. and it would be ok

The app is messed up for me, I got a galaxy S10+ the whole app is like pushed to the side, wont let me put my birth day in

The Regera doesn't look too bad (the relatively simple interior seems to be helping here). The rest of the car roster isn't so fortunate.

Yeah it doesn't look good.

But I also saw Pagani gameplay and it also looks "ok"

But still amount of details in dashes is enough to "pump it up" and make nice interiors. I would even welcome GRID Autosports BLURRY interiors in NFS.

Details about customisation can be found here, but most importantly...

Swap Engines to Boost Your Car

From the minute you enter the garage, you have tons of parts for building and tinkering with your high-performance car. And, for the first time in a Need for Speed game, you can swap engines to boost nearly every car in the game to the highest rating. By swapping engines, you can transform your battered, beloved, low-rated ride into a high-powered, road-owning filthy beast of a machine.

Engine Swaps confirmed

That is awesome.

As expected, Brake to Drift is still incorporated into the physics, but we don't know how grip handling stacks up yet.

Is it just me or is the framerate in this trailer all over the place. It doesn't feel smooth at all.

Noticed the same thing. I thought it was the live stream at first but the official video looks just as bad.

I hope we get a 4K video of gameplay. Lets keep an eye out. I know there are several NFS youtube influencers invited to Gamescon so perhaps we'll see more media later.

At 0:40 did that Corvette really sliced that palm tree in half? How fat is a 'Vette, really?

Looks great so far, wonder what will be the communtiy's next problem.

First time a NFS has engine swaps, say what???
Are they already forgetting Shift 2 Unleashed existed and did it first

Shift 1 and Shift 2 are forgotten. Since I don't like both of em I'm actually fine with it.

Crew building sounds quite Carbon-esque to me. Some of the features like the app and new customization stuff looks intriguing, but I'm still incredibly skeptical.

but i like this kind of Duplicates....

COUNTACH 25TH ANNIVERSARY
AVENTADOR SVJ COUPE
AVENTADOR SVJ ROADSTER
HURACAN PERFORMANTE
HURACAN PERFORMANTE SPYDER
AVENTADOR S
AVENTADOR S ROADSTER
HURACAN SPYDER
HURACAN

I am pretty much very hyped for this game... Ferrari list looks also great.

over 120 cars... this is pretty... epic?

I find the Porsche and Lambo lineups quite interesting in their almost GT-like focus on different trims. There's a lot of chopped-the-roof-off padding, which was one of my least favourite aspects of FH1, but oh well.

Also, I know avatar customization is so uncool because it's not super-cereal sim racer stuff, but using licensed stuff like Adidas shoes has me slightly more curious about that aspect than generic crap.

I've only just started playing Payback recently for the first time since the EA Access preview two years ago, and the physics still ruin what I think could be a pretty solid, fun title. There's some cool ideas in this new trailer, so I really hope Ghost has tightened up the physics. I'm not expecting sim level stuff, but my biggest issue with Payback is the inconsistency of the handling. Cars seemingly react at random thanks to all the bizarre driving aids, but if they could be predictable it'd go a long way.

Call me very cautiously optimistic.

It probably helps that FIFA now heavily features streetwear thanks to Volta mode. If EA has already acquired the license for designer labels in one game, they might as well utilise them in another.

My interest on it resides mainly on the physics, and I can't give up on the game yet. Because they resemble A LOT to payback and NFS 2015, but until you try it you can't notice the changes, and even if those changes are subtle they could make a great difference. Will keep an eye, but that last trailer has hurt my expectations.

It has always happened. Some people don't know there are 6 games before Underground.

I like the list, the hype is growing, now I just need to decide which system I'm getting it for.
