Do you really think they will try to force MTX and risk losing us even after the backslash from Star Wars and Battlefield?

As long as these companies are run by psychopathic, neoliberal, Verhoeven-esque bean-counters that don’t even enjoy the product they’re developing, and only care about trying to grift all the people, all the time, until they have all the money that exists in the world, all for shareholders who also don’t care about the product, then I would unironically say yes, no matter how many insincere PR statements are dispensed.

These people would slit their mothers’ throats if it meant a 5% increase in stock over a trading day. Soulless bastards, the lot of them.

People are scared whatever Microtransactions will come to the game, even though the clue is precisely on the bolded text.

Microtransactions will come to NFS Heat, but not at launch. This is basically to avoid backslash from reviews from news outlets and early playerbase. Now the one that worth discussing now is will the rewards be generous or geared towards said MTX. I the one say that it'll be atleast more generous than Payback without those lootbox speed cards (like seriously, perfomance parts? That's pay to win / getting advantage over opponents and that alone is scummy).

We don’t know that. There’s a chance they will be because it’s an EA published game. Payback had a loot box system with its performance cards and shipments but to counter that payouts for all the races were quite generous with most end game events paying over $20,000 for a race that takes 1 minute or less to complete. IF Heat has MT’s (which i think is EA’s decision, not Ghost’s) then I bet it’ll be the same way. Whatever MT’s get added, if any, the rewards you get in the game likely won’t be any worse than if they weren’t there.

If I remember Ghost / EA already stated that NFS Heat will not feature lootboxes. So it's still a step ahead from the Payback IMHO.

Was thinking more in relative terms. It still runs like garbage, but not as unstable as MW was. Stuff like Race Wars would never be possible in that game.

It still ran worse than Most Wanted with my mid range PC back in 2006, adding race wars and higher opponent count by breaking the stability of a game is in no way an optimisation. Carbon crashes more often than Most Wanted.

The whole point and amount of upgrades Carbon has over Most Wanted is roughly the same to 2015 to Payback. They added some, removed some and broke some.

Wow, just wow... Sure it looks like they are some kind of threat to mankind. Are you guys for real? Geez this whole anti EA propaganda is taking some crazy levels.

They will sure burn in hell.

But it really wasn't the case. In Payback you could skip the level grinding by buying shipments for tokens but it was not such an advantage to the guys that played it regularly. You could get to 399 in a day while farming for money too. Still the slot machine card system was garbage and it backfired. And of course it's gone. I get it that people can't forget it already... But come on. Was it really such a big deal that people need to voice out their concerns over and over all over the Internet. How long has this war been going on? EA is still publishing new games and it looks far from being dead. Isn't the time to try new approach yet? Beside just look at this thread guys ... how much more salt does it need?

To be honest it is EA's fault that everybody have concerns about HEAT. Some people are sure going crazy with this anti EA's hate, but it is somewhat deserved.

I am excited about HEAT the only thing that stops me from preordering it is thought "what EA will **** up this time"

I totally understand that people can get upset over some game mechanics but this is ridiculous. It's just a game. And those are just optional purchases. You can easily play without them and even be competitive in PVP.
Right now glaciers are melting im Greenland and the Amazon and Siberia are burning down. People should really priorities things and fight for what really matters.
I'm preordering it because I want those K.S. cars and I already know I will get my 60 euro worth of entertainment.

I'm usually more worried on "what EA will **** up this time" when it comes to other EA games like Mass Effect and Dragon Age but NFS seem to be okay for the most parts, even their biggest screw up with Payback didn't turn up as bad as I thought and I end up putting 140 hours into it.

I'll pre-order the game a day before the deluxe edition access starts, no point paying them that early and the game is not going to ran out of stock anyway.

I will definitely try 10 hour trial on EA Access first. Then if it will be really good i will buy it. If it will be mediocre I will wait for EA Access version.

That's a new one to me. It my experience, it usually runs better than MW and crashes are rare.

Teo if this turn out to be the truth then I will subscribe to you again. If not I'm going to smash that dislike button on every video and turn on adblock.

Theo's comments are in line with what AR12 and StraightUpHippo (I don't actively follow any of the other content creators who were there) thought about the pros and cons of the physics so I trust what he says. Hopefully, he's learned his mistake from praising Payback's grip handling before release, which turned out to be much slower than drifting.

It’s not just EA that I’m referring to. It’s every field - the arts, politics, the environment - all being ruined by greedy neoliberal shareholders. The NYSE was a mistake. I think I may even see the end of the human race in my lifetime because of these troglodytes. At least when the riots start, they’ll probably be the first to get lynched. Politicians are too stupid or too cucked to do anything in regards to legislation, so idk what’s left. Shareholders have been why the media lies, why we’re more divided, why art/entertainment is becoming assembly line design-by-commitee drek, why social media has been antithetical to its name, and why I’d be OK if our next president nuked their own country in the name of re-establishing intra-national unity.

I’m lonely and scared, and I want control NOW.

All EA is, is an emblem.

Wow, you win the award for the most massively hyperbolic doom-mongering overstatement of the week. And on the internet, that's no small accomplishment! Please get back on your meds.

In the actual reality that most of the rest of us inhabit, life expectancy is at or near an all time high, infant mortality at an all time low. Average income at an all time high, global poverty at an all time low. Food supply, education levels, political freedom... practically every measure of overall human well-being are at or near their best levels in recorded history.

And best of all, millions of people are so happy and secure that they have sufficient leisure time to sit around grousing about video game developers on the internet! The very fact that you're here indicates that you enjoy a vastly better life than 99% of all humans who ever lived.

@MIE1992 just pray to the good lord and everything will be fine, even if the world end tomorrow.

Was just watching some freeroam gameplay posted by CROWNED and I'm speechless. The Heat world is just gorgeous. And huge. And diverse. And green. There's stuff everywhere even in tunnels. Ramps. Proper train tracks. Monorail that you can ride. Rocket launch pad. Huge Quarry. A big prison. The most beautiful NFS world I have ever seen. And those head lights!!!
The only thing that bothers me... everything seems to be made from polyester.:D

the vehicle drop from the app is rather disappointing, the only car that has a new part is RX7 and it is a headlight. While the Subaru BRZ seem to lost the Varis wide bodykit.

To be fair there are some things we cant do on the app that can be done in game, example canards. Maybe the varis kit will be in the game??????...

They haven’t put a single canards option in it yet, all cars doesn’t have it but if you click on the “splitter” word the listing pops up has front and rear canard listed.

As for the Varis kit, it could be they missed it for the phone app. There are other Varis parts for the BRZ but for whatever weird reason the wide body kit is missing.

Apparently, Kyza might be leaving after this game.
