Except it's not...The Evo X is a preorder exclusive car. I guess you will be missing that one if you don't preorder.
Yes it is. The Deluxe upgrade only mention 3 KS cars. The starter car is missing so I can only assume it's a preorder only thing.Except it's not...
I tough it was obvious since I was talking about preorder bonuses. I guess missing on that KS confused someone. My bad.The starter Evo X is a KS edition too, the base game will have a standard Evo X.
My concern is that the new tap to drift will make handling even worse than it was in Payback. You will engage a drift even if you wait few seconds between releasing the throttle and pushing it again. How am I suppose to make a turn without engaging a drift? I'm sure it's not going to be that extreme and you will still be able to correct the drift. But still, why did someone tough it was a good idea to change the brake to drift to tap to drift... guess we will find out soon how bad it is. Also the lack of new modifications on the app doesn't promise much on that department ether. I am still confident it will be a good game overall. Just... there's no hype at all.
If the handling is just drifting on every corner im going to count myself out of this game.
I just want to take normal turns i dont expect a hardcore simulator but drifting on every corner just ruins it for me.
I'm pretty sure in Payback you could feather the throttle without engaging a drift. I know because I played that game.“tap to drift” won’t feel as different as you think it will. It existed in previous games.
Not sure who said it. I can find it if you want. Somebody said that even a two seconds gap triggered it. That you need to brake without releasing the throttle to completely avoid it... which is ridiculous IMO.It is probably still being tweaked, seconds long gap between taps shouldn't trigger it
It is probably still being tweaked, seconds long gap between taps shouldn't trigger it but the implementation of double tap the accelerator to drift will make feathering the throttle problematic.
it still drifts but a lot lesser compared to what was shown back in 2015, drift bias cars looks the same as before:
NFS2015:
NFS Heat (Grip bias Porsche):
NFS Heat (Drift bias Corvette)

iirc correctly there was an option to disable brake to drift in payback. I can't say if it changed anything, but I do recall the option.Yea I remember someone said it, might be GameRiot or StraightUpHippo but I remember they did mention it is likely to get further tweak so seconds long gap shouldn't trigger it. Considering everything we see at Gamescom is not locked down yet, everything else is still getting tweak like the petrol station usage per night and the busted money cut too. We just have to wait and see at launch, ideally is they give an option to disable it, switch the button or something.

Stability Control. Doesn't disable it, but does increases the slip angle required to enter a drift.iirc correctly there was an option to disable brake to drift in payback. I can't say if it changed anything, but I do recall the option.

Hopefully the function remains in a much revised form. A proper on and off function with an arcadey simplicity when on (basically the same as before) and a proper understeer when off (and slide when hoofing the throttle and varied grip for part throttle up to a certain speed or revs). Ultimately in life hitting the brakes doesn't initiate a drift, even when the wheels are turned. Weight transfer via a combo of gas and brakes and steering in the right ratios will bring on a drift (braking is usually minimal).I think it does disable it but it makes any sort of sharp-ish turn near impossible to turn.
