Ferrari never wanted their cars associated with cop chases. In the 1st Hot Pursuit & High Stakes Ferrari cars weren't drivable in Hot Pursuit mode. Now this all change with Hot Pursuit 2 where they, against Ferrari's wishes, put Ferrari's in Hot Pursuit mode making Ferrari pull their cars from NFS & all EA games permanently. EA ain't even allowed to show the original NFS High Stakes box art without being sued (why the one on the site a couple years ago had a Corvette w/ Porsche instead of Ferrari w/ Porsche). Also why those games ain't on the PS Store because EA ain't allowed to even touch them anymore.

So unless Ferrari gets off it's high horse & stops being a snooty crappy car maker we'll never see those cars grace any NFS game besides Shift 1 & that was only because of Xbox stroking Ferrari's coc..... urm....

Wrong, Ferrari's are in TDU2. It has nothing to do with cops. It's car customization. If EA gets the licence then Ferrari can't say anything for years as thats how the licensing goes.

BTW the reason why the GT500 is changed slightly is because of trademark issues. .

Thanks for finding that out:)I just read Carrol don't want his '67 GT500 called a Eleanor because someone else owns the name :( I think the GT500 in the game is a beauty the way it is:D I'm very happy with what we did get, it sounds awesome and handles great. I wish I could take pictures in game :(

1. Carrol Shelby is dead so he don't care anymore.
2. CG could of easily & legally made the GT500 look exactly like Eleanor. You can't trademark/own rights to the way vehicles look. If that was the case all car brands would be suing each other constantly.

Nope, I am right. What happened with HP2 sealed the deal on EA's & Ferrari's relationship. We haven't seen 1, count them, Ferrari in an EA game since High Stakes. (besides for Shift but that was because of Xbox's big big wallet) Car Customization has nothing to do with it. High Stakes had a little, GT5 has a little, Forza has it & Ferrari didn't car with those games. Oh, TDU2 has nothing to do with EA so why bring it up?

Now learn how to multiquote, god. It carries over from page to page & even from thread to thread. USE IT, click the damn button while you read posts & when you get to the end hit post to see ALL THE QUOTES!

You're a bad troll. Just stop posting unless it has some value.

It's my understanding that it goes beyond the inclusion of customization or tuning because Ferrari in other recent games has allowed for (minimal) customization or tuning on their cars. Like Honda, it may even be their need to protect their image even in the gaming industry; and it is their right to do so. That said, though only EA and Ferrari knows what's really going on, it's almost safe to assume that Ferrari no longer wants to do business with them.

I miss Ferrari, yes, but it's been so long and NFS clearly can succeed without them. So I don't see it as that big of a deal.

Ferrari is the only car brand that I know who gets pissy about their cars in a game. Many other way way way higher brands couldn't give two ***** that their cars are being jumped 500 yards into a wall falling down crumpled. Ferrari has & will always be the biggest overrated brand on the market.

If there's any car company I'd like to include it's Lotus. Surprised no one has brought up why Lotus has not been in both of Criterion's games. They're in BB and SMS, but not when Criterion makes a game.

We have the Venom. Close enough.

Well someone cares because the '67 GT500 has no emblems and in the movie she had emblems on the dash, between the tail lights and the fenders, but not the grill. The '70 Charger R/T has emblems on the grill but nowhere else. The '77 Pontiac Firebird T/A doesn't have the Trans Am vinals like it should:( Well somethings going on over at CG but what? or did the progammer get lazy? all the other cars are perfect except those 3?

Speaking of Shelby why the car is so slow! Both it and Trans Am have the same top speed in stats but Trans Am can go up to 176mph but GT500 can only 156mph, and plus slow acceleration not many people drive it, the Charger is now as common as Veyron

I've been playing about an hour a day for 8 days and I'm already 5th on the Blacklist...

This game is so small! I hope the gigantic, 2gig update I'm still missing makes this game a little bit longer...

The Trans Am is from the time of the Muscle car death. You should be grateful it can even reach 170MPH. The GT500 has accurate speed. Old muscle cars usually only did 120MPH at the most.

I know old muscle cars where not fast, but I'm talking about a game, arcade game at that not real life. It's just seems like people tend to pick the fastest cars in this game, nobody drives the cars they like, they drive whats fastest. Most of them are real assholes that will take you out without thinking twice, and if you drive slow cars you pretty much screwed in a race. So they should had give those cars at least some boost with the upgrades.

*Chief reason I only play online late at night ;) All the children are asleep then.

Long Gears usually boost the lower cars a lot more then the higher cars. It's true with most of the mods. I think the GT500 & Trans Am might be near 200 with Long gears. I never tested this tho.

Anyway, screw this game on weekends. It suffers from the same thing as COD does on weekends. Kids & all the assholes who work to much during the week to play. I got shunted to oblivion 5 TIMES in one race in less than a minute because 6 out of the 8 were douche bags that deserve long dragged out painful deaths.

I have logged over 100 hours on this game and it's gonna take another 10-15 hours to finish the rest of the races for the rest of the cars (besides the Deluxe DLC cars).

Its just a matter of finding a decent lobby to play in. If I'm lucky, I find a lobby with people who are competitive (rarely), or I find a lobby with people who can't drive cars properly and I end up beating their Venom's with a Carrera (frequently).

Within any game:

99% are bad to average at best.

1% are actually good and know how to play at the very top level.

Ive got 82 hours and well Im on hold until the Speedpoints issue is taken care of on my end. :grumpy: But hopefully I can get back into it here shortly.

Always let the console sit a couple minutes if the game freezes while saving. Doing so may save your file. MW froze while saving/loading countless times for me & I just walked away for a bit, came back & restart the system with save file intact. The game may be frozen but I think it still saves so instantly restarting nukes your file.

Long gears give Shelby 174, and 201 Trans Am, but it takes forever to get there. In a more technical race with more turns I can beat most people but on races with straight roads I'm toasted even if I switch gears mid race.

Yes sometimes I can get hit before the race stars, usually some idiot that drives to the meetup last, then I respawn and... boom some dummy behind me hits me, by then the top guy is far away, sometimes I manage to catch up if I'm in 911gt2, I always have my sweet revenge set up to speed hunter (30secs of nitro) so I can blow past these morons.
The best method to avoid collisions is to look behind you, if you see on the map that someone is closing in very fast look behind, then just second before they are about to hit you turn left or right (depends from which side they are approaching) and hit brakes. They usually hit a wall, if not they slow down and there's your chance to hit gas and take those bastards out.

As for Firehound427 freezing issue... it happens, sometimes I loose data even after waiting few seconds after the crash. Good thing I always backup my data. If someone cares for online only though, the status is saved on EA servers or something so the online progress is intact.

If CG reveals one more DLC pack what cars should be in it?

I say...
Gumpert Apollo
Tesla Model S
Jaguar XJ220
Jeep SRT-8
and the Blacklist car is the McLaren P1.

I honestly believe the game is done in terms of DLC & maybe with patches/updates also.

I believe this would be right, Since now SimCity is now out and EA can focus more on that.

Speaking of SimCity I needs to order me it.

Anyway, EA probably wants CG's focus on the next game which is why they dumped all 3 packs at once. Now I'm hoping the next CG game is Burnout but that's just a dream that'll never come true.

Anyone destroyed all security gates at the new airport? I am just missing one and I don't know where to look.

I've got them all. There was one that I went through but it didn't count. I'd go look through everything and hit everyone again.
