Some guy in reddit got invited to play the race event. He said the handling to each car is different (he used the M4 GTS) and that it's different and better than the 2015, no crabwalking though you still have to drift to go faster.

The AI in the gameplay trailer is dumbed down too. It won't be like that when we get the game. The takedown camera is only present in that mission.

Knowing EA.
They will "Forget"
Keep it in.
More problems.
Followed by another failed title.

"This is the best handling they've had ever."

He's basically putting all credibility he has on the line by saying that. That's a very bold statement to make at this stage. I'll remember this.

I will remain skeptical about the physics until a consensus by the community is formed after release. I don't care what anyone says right now. Especially him.

^^ Yeah that was my thought too. That's a really risky statement, so I can't imagine him just completely pulling it out of his butt. I know how several ppl on this site feel about Theo, but I do find it encouraging - he DOES admit after all that 2015 had serious handling issues. Whether someone is a fanboy or not, when they A) Admit that the previous game had major problems, and then B) Say that those problems do not exist in the demo he played... that's something. Also gives actual descriptions of how it's different as well. - The demo had the Mustang set up as "balanced." So presumably, a grip setting would minimize the drifting we see in the current gameplay videos.

Also, (for those who don't have the patience to suffer through the video) he made a valid point - the last car they added to 2015 (the Beck custom hot rod) actually handled pretty decently. He says that was the start of them re-vamping the handling physics and that was their starting point for this one.

When I saw that Reddit post in regards to the physics, the first thing that came to my mind is Most Wanted '12 physics. In that game the term "tap brake to drift" is applied but you can still take corners normally unlike in 2015 and Rivals where you seriously need to drift in order to take a corner. In regards to crabwalking, I'm glad they fixed it. It was difficult to keep the car in a straight line in 2015.

If Ghost can't really get rid of the Criterion handling then I would at least make them stable and once again only Most Wanted '12 was stable.

I'm still going to wait and see more gameplay.

We seriously need a "Playable Demo" like they used to when I first started playing my PS3. If people are skeptical about physics and the gameplay then this is the best option in my opinion, do not even dare of putting a ******* "Private Beta" for other testers that sign up for it. Let everyone try it, not just a select few. I'm not even sold on the gameplay trailer it's so bad. I wished they stopped the hype marketing stunts, but as knowing EA that'll surely never stop.

Those are my thoughts.

I do not trust any single big youtubers when it comes to impressions. So much money involved with many sponsored videos. They're not journalists so I don't expect them to be independant but I can't trust impressions from someone invited by a huge editor. Imagine if he says handling is rubbish. Best way to be blacklisted.

I can say right now that the game won't be much different in physics, since it's obvious they took more time into making the story.

Yeah, and the story doesn't sound remotely entertaining. Laughable story + garbage handling = 2/3 strikes.

Ahhhhhhahahahahaahahahahahahahahahaha! What an utter piece of actual 🤬 game! xD

He said people were "more forgiving" of The Crew's handling. No, we weren't, but its handling wasn't trash compared to NFS. There are ZERO excuses for bad physics and handling in this day and age, and you do not drift to make a turn faster, the hell is this ****? That combined with the utterly disgustingly generic and stereotypical story that they've seemingly lined up, makes this worst game of 2017. Worst game of the NFS franchise.

Not only that, but Test Drive: Unlimited 2 and 1 have far better handling than NFS 2015 and even Rivals. Yet, even with Blackpantha doing all this publicity crap just to let EA get more short term sales, but I sincerely hope that people will not fall for this "Experimentation" crap again. They have done this stuff more than once on us, and now it seems people are forgetting about those past EA Play things.

No sale for me. That's final unless noted otherwise. (because terrible handling is not excusable in any sense)

May I suggest that you all do the same.

This is an EA product we're talking about here. How many titles have given reason to give them faith since 2014? The game unfortunately is gonna be a flop. Not even adding machine guns and laser beams to cars in the game can fix garbage physics/gameplay, and another awful story.

adding machine guns and laser beams to cars

As if this series needed more "car combat."

It's like Battlefield with cars.

Have you played Need For Speed Payback because your acting like it. payback is a worst game, like really because you don't even know what we getting yet and plus game looks promising. Once again have you played Need for speed payback, I'm guessing you haven't even played it.

So a game where we've only seen car combat of punting X6's into the desert looks promising? Well I guess we do need something to pick up where Burnout left off...

Too early to judge the game but it doesn't look like anything special so far, in the very limited amount of gameplay shown I've already seen multiple things I'm not keen on.

Having said that as a PS4 player this looks like it has the potential to be the best arcade racer I've played in a while going off the features/changes from NFS 2015. I'm hoping this or The Crew 2 turn out great otherwise I'll have to get an Xbox or beef up my PC for Horizon.

The Crew 2 has far more potential. You can see it just by watching the cars behave in either game. NFS is still ice skating all over the place and smashing off of things like a ping pong ball (including other cars), where as in The Crew 2 the cars seem to actually have tires on them.
