Hmm.. They did used Recycled Engine sounds from Most Wanted.
The BMW sounds good in both games but a bit different, better in Rivals...

IMO, the repair shops need a cool down period. I got into a situation recently where I was playing as a cop and found myself against a player who was a racer that kept on looping around and around back to the shop. It ended up in a stalemate where he quit because we kept on rearming and repairing ourselves over and over again - this would not have been an issue if a cool down was implemented between 30 seconds to 1 minute. Interestingly, he was right by a safe house - he was at heat level 8 and just quit without bothering to bank his SP.
So I finished the first playthrough of the cop career, and started over to unlock every car. But I can't seem to earn any SpeedPoints...

IMO 458 sounds quite bad...
Recycled Engine Sounds from NFS MW2.. This is quite sad :\.
I can understand the M3 and the Gallardo in Rivals, they have the same engines as the ones in MW2012, but still, they could've recorded new sounds. The GT3 sounds pretty different than the GT2, I think they actually recorded it from scratch. There's nothing to say about the CGT, they used the sound from the Panamera on a glorious V10... The Huayra sound worse in Rivals as well, it sound like a V8, not a V12. I think this game was either really rushed (hence the bugs and the not properly modeled cars) or Ghost were very lazy. The 458 sounds not very accurate too, I can't figure out what car the sound is taken from, cause it doesn't sound like a Fezza.
I agree.
Rivals
Most Wanted
. Also seems they Recycled some Models from Criterion Games, Also the Aventador 720-4 sounds garbage. Edit; Looking at all the car sounds most of them are the same samples from Criterion Games.
Ask the other guys in this topic cuz I haven't played this game that much.Is it worth getting for current gen consoles @wicken ?
Some players may have experienced a DirectX error when launching their Need For Speed: Rivals game. The error reads "DirectX function "CreatePixelShader for (null)" failed with E_INVALIDARG ("An invalid parameter was passed to the returning function."). GPU: "Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000", Driver: Unknown"

The game is so buggy that yesterday when I was playing the last racer race, one of my friends left the game and the game automatically disconnected me from game. Result = the 45km event didn't count for the assignment despite me completing the objective. Finally on my third try, I finallly finished the race and the game started playing the credits but then another wierd thing happened. Another guy from my friendlist left the game and the game disconnected me yet again, so it skipped the credits and the final options that should unlock the remaining 40 racer ranks (which only appears once) so I was stuck in rank 20. I tried to complete another assignement to see if it fixed this issue, I tried to reset the game but nothing worked so I was forced to start over.
Isn't there a way to play alone? I remember seeing a video that said you can pick from joining a public room, invite only room, and a private room. Can't you just join a private room to completely bypass this problem?
Is the game worth picking up or any better than most wanted 2012 that was a awesome title.
Yep, you can even set it so that you are only in single player mode and no one online can join you. IMO, this is great if you want to proceed through your career without interruptions, whether from host migrations or other players getting in your way during events (all the events being in an open environment has a down side I guess).
Thanks for replying aftrbrnr,i see so it's pretty much hp 2010 with a open world an a couple of jumps? like i was saying on my last post i have the 4gb 360 pretty much picked up the cheaper model as im more of a sometimes gamer and this is the first title they have forced the install on a internal hard-drive the bastards wont even let you install on a usb flashy.so im on the fence about purchasing a harddrive for this particular title.
Shame criterion didn't ad any more dlc another area and more cars would of been great
There is DLC on way the way they'll more than likely expand the map and definitely add new cars the usual ea spiel, so I believe its worth it, if I where you I'd look for hard drive on clearance around black friday or online to save yourself some moolah theres bound to be some for 360's available since the expecting the masses to upgrade eventually.
I'll be honest most of the dlc for this game will probably hit by summer, if you know you'll have your next gen by next fall. I'd say wait pick up then@ bargin price and hope ppl are still interested in playing it on next gen, if not skip it and move right on to The Crew or EA's Next need for speed which just like madden will be out next fall with varying quality results.....
Someone did say there will be a DLC drop next month sometime, As a free Christmas present. I think it was just 5 cars but anything is possible.
Your right, but the 2 paid DLC packs or probably spring/summer its not like battlefieild where they have a 2 year Plan till the next game they have a cycle, they stop supporting the need for speeds after 2 years I think, EA is ruthless on that front
