Need for Speed: Rivals

Survived this lovely session. :D

Top speed - 370 km/h? My Porsche 911 GT3 have 380+ km/h :D
My record is 570 000 SP. But I'm in the middle of the campaign. I remember like I was running away ahead 10 Veyrons in my 911 :D

// sorry for my english //

This may be a duh but I noticed something. I can do the same pursuit in 2 different cars but the system thows different racers against you. For example if I select the F12 I'm racing with P1 that are really fast. Same race if I select the GT3 I'm up against 599s mostly. I can hold my own in that race better than against the P1s. Even tho it's a "hard" pursuit I guess it also depends what car you choose.

Maybe it has something to do with the car's default Heat Level?

Possibly, because for me that - and police difficulty - depends on campaign advancement. Or something else - even though I'm scrupulously avoiding advancement (difficult, as the game considers a shockwave hit to be a stun mine hit), the cops have quickly become too difficult to allow a heat 10 pursuit in a Vanquish (I'm well past where you unlock it, but trying to fully upgrade all the cars).

Thats nothing compared to this

Bah, in this game, Speedpoints farming as a racer is far too easy. It requires almost no skill.

Unless that guy can provide a video that shows exactly how he did it - not impressed at all.NFS14 2014-01-14 01-22-26-79.jpg

Sure, with the Koeniggsegg you get to drive in mission 16 it is a bit easier. But still, even with other cars, it is way too easy.
There is NO reason to be impressed - not at all. And 6.000.000? You stop because it becomes boring, not because it is getting to difficult.

Looks like all the social media accounts of NFS have shifted to the movie so I really doubt we'll see DLC news unless they spring it on us like the Most Wanted Superpack last year.

Really saddened and surprised there's no further support. Maybe once the crew comes out and gives EA a run for their money we'll see something. I get it that it takes longer for next gen development but at least tease us about future DLC.

That's how you can earn a bunch of SP without having much to do. Rinse and Repeat

Thanks for posting that video, been having trouble raising my heat level to 9.
Any other suggestions to raise it or destroying cops is the way to go?
Side note: I love the lighting effects in this game.

Well it should just eventually go up to 10, after awhile of doing that event over and over it should be 10 in no time.

I wouldn't be surprised to see DLC around when the movie launches.
It's an opportunity to push the game again and the film. If we don't see anything
by then I give up hope.

I can't see why people want a new NFS with ricing ability and a storyline - EA have 'lost it' and would only muck it up (in their minds).

Sorry but these new free-roam storyless NFSs are some of the best, and there's only so many tales you can spin based around cars without going stale *cough* FnF *cough*

hey do someone know something about driving wheel ? is there an unofficial patch or something, i cant play if i cant use my driving wheel :( its a driving force gt btw

In the process of completing Career Plus for both the Racer and Cop factions. I'm resting at Racer Level 32 and Cop Level 50. Apart from those two trophies, I have to bust 10 racers in a Mustang, bust a friend and win a race against a friend.

Definitely going to take a while, but I'm very close to the Platinum! :D
Yes it does that... on a last-gen console by any chance?

It runs fine in offline singleplayer, and there's less people like me running around in Agera/Aventador/Venom cop cars :sly:
You're one of those guys?

Don't worry. So am I.

Need For Speed is back on track with Rivals, partly due to the fact that it plays like a NFS game should (MW2012 was the game which seemed to show us that NFS was becoming Burnout). The Criterion drifting is still present, but cars seem to have a lot more weight than the Criterion-era cars did. I'm happy with the driving, it no longer needs refinement.

The career mode is the best I've seen since Carbon. The story is great and progression has returned. The cops are the best in any NFS, hands down. I always on the edge when in a pursuit, they are aggressive and always breathe down your neck. Car customisation is lackluster, I'm glad I can put vinyls on my car for the first time in years. But the fact we can't have multiple layers really takes away from it.

Also addressing a common misconception: Criterion Games did not make NFS Rivals. EA Ghost Games did.

Technically Speaking, Your right about Crapterian not being " title on Development" but for all intent/ purposes 70+ ppl from what used to be Criterian games jumped ship to ghost along with ex split 2nd, PGR, Blur and few sim guys to Boot! The lead producers from Crapterian Oversaw the Production of Rivals and had overall approval on the production of the final product, this a Moot point now since Crapterians Founders/ CEO left EA to start a new company with bout 10 or so ppl left over @ Crapterian effectively they'll become Full Ghost or EA employees soon if they like there jobs :)

I'm Still enjoying NFS Rivals after Hating Hot Pursuit 2010 and Every Burnout Game Ever! Most Wanted 2012 was passable but was rubbish online. Not really interested doing anything besides racing or chasing, Cat/Mouse, Crashing or Wrecking for sake of doing it is a waste of time much like car soccer on Forza 4, but I'm on 360 vers same level of bugs as every other vers. patiently awaiting new DLC, bored of busting racers, now playing as one of the bad guys to change things up, the only thing that keeps me coming back to to game are the gorgeous environments, + the much improved handling, steering response, balance, and drifting model over HP2010. The bugs & the lag is horrid and even effects your controls when its super bad with car accelerating/steering all on its own @ times forcing a wreck or crash... I've only noticed its worse when downloading something in the background @ times, so I refrain from it now, sorry to all who may have bought this on my encouragement and where dis-appointed the classic days of need for speed are gone this is best they've done in the last 3 years to get the glory days back although I'm proud fanboy of NFS2- Highstakes, HP2(PS2) and Underground- Prostreet. This is Nice Coffee Break in between GT6 sessions still waiting for that Sound Patch Kaz.

Seeming as you hate S:censored:terion so much, you'll probably like BlackPanthaa's videos. He hates them (and Creative Director Craig Sullivan) just as much as you do.
