The race calendar has been updated to include more break periods, and an extension of the mid-season break by 1 extra week. This is due to how busy life has been to me recently, and needing the time to get through the workload as the first half of the season was difficult to manage. We hope that you can understand our reasoning on this matter.
Do not worry though, as we will still be hosting some non-championship exhibition races on the Sunday slots. These will generally be more casual in nature, and hopefully a breath of fresh air after all of the "competitive" championship races.

Hi everyone!
Finally updated the thread. Sorry for the wait and all. Hope you've been enjoying the mid-season break, but I must remind you that we are racing again this upcoming Sunday.
There was 1 rule edit that was made that you should also be aware of now, which came up in the Am Split race last time out to do with the Safety Car procedure;
"A car exiting the pits must rejoin at the back of the SC queue, and not filter in at the point in which they rejoin."
Aside from that, we've unfortunately had various people end up leaving the series due to various reasons, including real life stuff. This means that some previous reserves were promoted to full-time slots, and we are also in need of some more reserve entries too.
The race at Fuji Speedway this Sunday will be on the "GT" layout, or as it was renamed by Polyphony, the "Short" layout, just for clarification. It will also be subjected to a manual track limits review. The lap count has been confirmed, but we are still awaiting confirmation on track conditions.

The NES returns to the streets of Tokyo for Round 7 for what should be a fantastic night race! However, due to the unique design of the South Outer Loop (SOL), there has been a slight change with the Race Start Procedure and the Safety Car Procedure for this race only.
Due to the pit lane being positioned mid-way through the lap at the hairpin at the top of the circuit, the following procedural changes have been made:
1: For the formation lap, both categories will drive at the same speed of 62MPH (100km/h), up until the chicane at the bottom of the circuit, where the GT3's are to slow down to their usual speed of 50MPH (80km/h).
2: At the end of the formation lap, the Safety Car will park up off track at the chicane at the bottom of the circuit instead of going to the pit lane straight away. All cars will pass the Safety Car, and will be clear for their respective category starts once past the final corner. Once all of the cars have gone past, the Safety Car will make its way back to the pit lane at the hairpin at the top of the circuit.
3: The same procedure in point 2 will be used for Safety Car Restarts.
4: Not following the wide pit entry route will be judged the same as a corner cutting penalty.

Read the post above again for clarifications on procedures etc. Be sure to take extra care when lapping/being lapped. GT3's remember to stick to your racing line to be prefictable for the LMP's coming through.

The grand finale of NES Season 5 awaits! Thanks to everyone who has been a part of this fantasic season! Hopefully we can have a race to remember (For the right reasons...).
As you may know, we are racing at Circuit de la Sarthe, a circuit with an over 3 minute laptime for the top LMP category. For this reason, we have had to make some one-off changes to the Safety Car procedure just for this race.
The Formation Lap and Safety Car speeds have been increased to 100MPH (160km/h).
In the final sector of the Formation Lap, the LMP category will slow down to their usual 62MPH (100km/h), and the GT3's to their usual 50MPH (80km/h).
The cars will go double-file on the straight leading up to the final 2 chicanes. No overtaking before the timing line as usual (if you do, give the position back in a safe and deliberate manner).
For Safety Cars, once the round of pitstops has occured, the LMP's will be cycled through to the front on the first part of the Mulsanne straight.
Once everyone is sorted, we will be using the Sector 2 timing line (Just after the first chicane on the Mulsanne straight) for the race restarts so we don't have to wait 2/3 of a lap.
The Safety Car will pull off to the side of the road, and then continue back to the pits once the last of the GT3's has gone past.
There will be no speed limit for those catching the Safety Car, but remember to drive within your limits so you don't crash, and do not overtake unless the Race Director instructs otherwise.
Remember to keep a minimum gap to the car ahead and behind of 2 car lengths when under Safety Car.

In a Safety Car period, if a car is damaged mechanically or in danger of running out of fuel, they are allowed to type "ES" to request an Emergency Service pitstop if the pits are closed. The Race Director will then decide whether your request will be permitted or not.
In an Emergency Service pitstop:
*Tyres can NOT be changed.
*Fuel can only be added up to the 10% mark if below 10%.
*Damage can be repaired.
