Ah .. well thanks for the heads up. You'll see a thread up here in about a month about my new computer hopefully :).

Lots of pretty pics

edit:

Ah .. I see what you were talking about now, Skip. I didn't read all the goodies down at the bottom of the spec sheet and now I see it requires a 20A lead for one video card and a 28A lead for two. So you were right :)

New PSU hunting I go.

Well, according to the PSU calculator, I need a 725w PSU. I found a 825w PSU for a mild $425...

Well, after about 4 days of trouble shooting, I have determined that my new Crossfire edition x1900 card is bad. I took it back and they will replace it free of charge. Should have a new one in 4-5 days. I hope this solves my issues as I trust it will. I wonder if I will have any performance gains with a fully functioning card? ;)

We'll have to wait and see.

Well it appears I have yet another bad Crossfire Master card. I brought it back to the retail location I got it from and will see if they can get a direct exchange from their distributors. The is card #2 so hopefully #3 is a charm. One advantage to dual x1900's is that I still can game relatively well with only half of my graphical rendering capacity. :)

Will post updated pics when I can, I also modified the 12v extra CPU power cable that was running over the top of the two graphic cards as you can see from my prior posts. I extended the cable another 8 inches , heat shrink and covered it with webbing to give it a finished look. I now have it routed around the cards. Much cleaner look and keeps everything just a bit more tidy.
