New DLC Free Car and Update 2.02

I think GT5 will finally steer my attention away from Dark Souls again lol. This really is a sweet update and the number one thing I am looking forward to is the changing of the wheels on standards. It is a minor touch, but it really is important to a lot of people such as myself. I can finally make the 95 Eclipse look "decent" now that I can take the god awful hubcaps off.

Also the car DLC looks pretty sweet and the car that most intrigues me IRONICALLY is the new GTR. This GTR is the real deal with 530 hp and truly will show what this car is capable of now. Scirocco R is a nice bonus...such a wonderful car.

I am quite curious if they will be doing that update to allow us to buy the TC cars from the previous DLC in the dealership as was said awhile ago. I also hope they "heard" us when it came to the bloom/lens flare absent in photomode. Here's hoping it is fixed in the 2.02 update.

Finally, I sure am excited to hear the "improvements" with racing sounds. I hope they fix sounds that are duplicated from other cars and especially fix my ZR1 RM, that racing exhaust doesn't do that car justice even in the slightest.

Improved racing sounds? Not sure what that means.. but sounds great. And the standards getting aftermarket wheels can only be a good thing.

No, wait. It's improved racing sound effects. That word alone can change the meaning of the sentence, meaning it might not be the actual improvement on the car engine/exhaust sounds but the sound of bumps, crashes, tires and so on. But oh well, we'll find out soon enough.

Wow, very happy with the new update. Improved sound will be great. Changing wheels on standards is what I have been waiting for, definitely going to be alot more interested in all my standard cars now. Just everything about this update sounds like a huge step in the right direction. Good job PD, keep it up.
Every update so far has been a huge improvement. This game just keeps getting better. Not sure if I'll buy this DLC pack but I did buy the last one and think it was worth it. Maybe there will be more to the DLC then the initial release states.
Anyway, im happier then a fat kid in a candy store. Can't wait.

I wonder if wheels for standard cars are simply upscaled wheels from GT4, there were way better selection of wheels back in GT4.

In game it's kind of disheartening that you can't modify the exterior in anyway or form. Quite odd if you ask me, just color change and nothing more.

You can max it out with it still looking like stock. 👍 Then when you pull up at the traffic light beside some fellow in a Gallardo, it looks like just your average production F430,... until you slam on the accelerator and BAM! 👍

"New Car Refresh" I wonder... if that will set things back to 0/0/0, if so... that would actually be pretty cool. However since they say this... "back to as-new condition, without losing any modifications that have been performed to it", makes me wonder if that means it will not remove weight reductions and internal engine modifications.

Personally I would want a coupon to get it back to a true 0/0/0 state, keeping all add on tuning parts, the kind that can easily be removed or put back on.

Haven't been on this game in aaages now but to be honest it looks like a great improvement. Love the thought of the 2012 GTR and 2011 Golf in my garage too!

The update is a THUMBS UP! I will probably get the DLC. I'm with some of the other folks with the idea that maybe some CLassic Racers and more American Cars would be nice. But, thanks for the update and DLC!

the 2013 gtr will be released at the beginning of 2012, with more hp, improved suspension and again with millions of editions (the "track pack version" only for the japanese market, which seems to be a substantial update to the car; black mask, v-spec, etc. etc.).

The game will be outdated just in a couple of months lol

But am I the only one thinking this is weird to have those new VW cars coming out of the blue like that when other cars that we thought would be included aren't in the game yet (FT-86 II, FR-S...) ?

4 euros for 2 street Wolkswagen I'm remotely interested and make up for GT-R and Mini. No tracks at all. Hmm not a great deal, I'll skip this one. The DLC is OK. $1 a car isn't too bad but the last car pack was a FAR more impressive value.

Probably because these are 'new' cars, rather than modified versions of cars already in the game

A point being, the TC models were only modelled after the cars that were in the game. These are 5, BRAND NEW, real cars that have been reproduced in the space of TWO months (and hopefully the sound has been sampled properly). So it's not really fair to compare the first DLC, which had more time, to the two-month ones.

Don't know what's the problem with the GTRs...
PD played a role in the development of it (a somewhat small one but yea) it's only natural there are plenty of them.
I personally like it, and was looking foward to play with this 2012 version.
