no, you can't attach files to a pm. If you were going to do that you would need to upload the file to a webserver and then pm a hyperlink.
just out of curiosity... if your run was flagged for verification; whats wrong with posting it publicly?

No problem with hosting it so everybody can see it...i was just thinking that all time were always verified...all the time...i guess it would be too much time consuming...hehe!

how does it work if a time is requested...i'm assuming you get a pm...then you post you replay in that week forum....

Negative. If there is an asterisk next to your name in the weeks race results thread, it signifies that your replay is requested. You then have 3 days to post your replay in the corresponding week results thread. BTW If you do not post a requested replay, your efforts for the week are judged unofficial, and your finishing position for the race is removed from the official results.

Hope that's clear as mud! I recommend you take a look at some of the archived race result threads, etc. you'll get it.

Just go ahead and race! People will help out as you go along. No biggie. :)

You can see the leaderboard here and you can find it in some of the WRS racers sigs, like mine. :)

Todd,a lot of time has passed since a rally race in GTP's WRS :indiff: ,any chance to see one in the following weeks? :)

I suppose we could do that if there is some demand for it...if any of you have suggestions or comments on that please continue the discussion in the suggestions box thread.👍

Hiya fellas!
Now that the 'Scrooge' series is winding down I found myself wondering around these parts of the board.

Needless to say that I am impressed with your driving guys. I knew that the AI drivers were bad but didn't realize they would give me such a false sense of security when it came to lap times! :-( ( I tried the week 24 race for about 30 mins and the best time was 2:43.xxx)

Anyhow, I'll be buying the MaxDrive soon so that I can join you here at the WRS. It may be a couple of weeks though.

Welcome mate! It sounds like you may be in Division III? I dont think that there is any requirement for Div 3 guys to verify their results except maybe the top 3 or just top place. So feel free to post your time and get into the action man! Great to have ya! U have any questions ask CFM or pretty much any of us I guess...lol.

Hi I'm new to WRS and would like to participate.
I've just read about the Qualifying and will try that tonight.

Question: Why must we have two tyres on the track at all times?
If one tyre is good enough for Licenses, why isn't that good enough for WRS?

I've got 76 Gold Licenses and All Missions completed and I do try to stay on track at all times (One Tyre = Still On Track imo).

Regardless of anyones responses, the WRS Rules are the Rules, I'll respect that and keep two tyres firmly on track, but it won't be easy :)

yes that´s a bit neurotic, because it happens in real life with no DQ, but i don´t know, point is, they decided, so we have to play by those rules...

They are very old rules, and pretty much a standard in the whole OLR community worldwide. From when I started playing GT3 OLR the rules have always been to have atleast two tires on track at all times... it's already more than 2 years now. I'm sure those rules have been around even longer than that.

I suppose that two tyres makes for easier verification.
That is the only good reason I can think of.
I tried the qualifying last night and it wasn't too bad, but I'll have to watch those tyres.

Keeping two tires on the track keeps everybody honest by not allowing anyone to cut corners. For example, at the end of Trial Mountain you can cut through the last chicane and save a ton of time. Since there are many other tracks that you can save time by cutting corners, it is simplest to say that two tires must be on track at all times, that way there is no disputing whether a driver is cuttting corners or not. Besides, it's just much more sportsmanlike to do it like this. Any monkey can bomb around the course with no regard to staying on the track.

Is there any way to pause a replay without it going to photo mode? And not only does it go into photo mode, but it changes the view when you unpause. Very frustrating. Examining my replays in GT4 seems very lacking compared to GT3, where you could practically do a frame by frame inspection of things. Any suggestions?

To view saved replays, pressing select will always put you into photomode, no way around it. But if you want to view a non-saved replay, ie. one you've just raced, pressing select will just pause the replay, without going into photomode.

The best way to check for wall touches and offs, is the analyser, if the graph takes a slight dip near a wall or car, you've probably hit it.

Welcome to WRS! Hope this was of help.

That has been what I have been relying on mostly, but was wondering if there was a way to do it with a saved replay. Problem is, if you keep doing laps and then you do one that you need to examine, you then have go through the whole replay of all the laps until you get to the one you need to see. At least they gave us the fast forward function for the replays, could be worse I suppose.

z06fun , save the GHOST lap (wich will be your fastest), and then go to the replay theatre to watch it ... pain in the bum, I grant you, but feasible.

That is what I tried orginially, but when you watch it in replay theater there is the problem of it going to photo mode when you pause. Makes it difficult to examine specific sections of the replay for off's. As Casio mentioned its much easier to examine a non saved replay because of this. What I have started doing is not running many many laps in a row bewteen restarts, so I can examine a non saved replay and it won't be really long. Seems to work for now.

Transferring replay files isn't as simple as loading up your flash drive and copying the replay to the pc ( although I wish! ). You need a special device called a 'Max Drive' (alternative is an 'X-Port' if you can still find some)

cheers people, what a big pile of gay tho.. :P

s'not too expensive tho, i shall have to purchase said drive.. lets hope my m3 time is quick enough to be questioned :)

O, I see you've found the 'Questions thread' :)
The Qualifier time is not questionable : it is only used to place you in a division.
If you submit a bogus time you didn't run, you'll be in a division that doesn't match your skill, that's all.
However, if you're fast in your division in the weekly races, you might be asked to provide a replay.
See you at the track.

With my own series ending this week, i'm looking to run the qualifier this weekend.

One quick question though - Are all the WRS races 1-lap affairs?

I'll try to run the Week34 event as well. I do like Trial Mountain, and it's such a fitting tribute to Richard Burns 👍
