NEW EXPLOIT - Tyre "healing" without stopping

This is so bad. I did a great race on monza (9th to 3rd) in sport mode, and the first one didn't pit and refresh his tyres twice. Is there a way to report him?

As i can see, there are many crew drivers that use this exploit to win. PD should fix this soon...

I drove few times against him in sport mode. I cannot believe he did that...
Thats like a punch into the face for the community and even to his follower/fans...

Would love to see everyone banned who used it in sport mode... shame on you guys...shame on you....

Yeah I agree 100%. Unfortunately so many will argue "If the game lets you get away with something and you benefit, why not use it to win?" Like the guys cutting WAY into corners and justify it "because the game allows it." That's cheating as well, they know they are going off-track. I look for lobbies that specify clean racing. That's the only way I can enjoy online racing. I don't even bother with sport mode anymore which is sad because that's the whole "new era thing" for this GT release.

You cannot compare cutting with this glitch... lol

Every racedriver uses the tracklimits which are given by the track and the stewards before the race... if PD give us this tracklimits..so we are allowed to use it...

The other thing is that with that tire healing which is not suppost to work, but it do... I do not know that PD gave it as a feature...lol
The Tire heqaling glitch is only embarassing and shows only who is a 🤬

I wonder if Sport Mode has developed a community of people who actively search for any possible exploits just to get any sort of unfair advantage. The people who look for this stuff actively and the people who use these exploits are dirt and I have no sympathy if any of them get the banhammer.

On a side note, if any other racing game had a thing comparable to sport mode, would they also get communities of people who search for exploits and try to ruin the game for others as well? Anyways, I don't consider it fair to call PD lazy or incompetent because the people who play their game are constantly searching for ways to cheat it. In that case I would have the right to say that any developer with exploits in their game is such.

I think it's part of GT's allure, as far back as gt3 I remember this subculture taking a foothold with things like braking through the wall at Seattle and going 1,100,1000.342 mph or eventually building hybrids. Not sure about intentionally ruining the online aspect but it was strong in 5p with things like practiced punters, ganging up punters, wrx toe glitch, and finished off with extreme gt academy track cutters and so on.

Exploring GT games and finding what you can do is fun for many people including myself, cheating and ruining others online fun is not so maybe that's different but it's always been around.

I get what you mean with past GT games, like taking wild shortcuts at Ascari and exploiting the gear ratios to get crazy top speeds, but the nature of this game is much different than before, and just really isn't the best place to be doing that sort of stuff. Sure it's always existed, but it's never really been a huge issue until now.

Sorry guys but I still can't follow the mentality on this forum.
Is it more honorable to not use this cheat, yes for sure it is, and respect for that!
But is it the smart way? I very very much doubt it!

Now we have day two since PD must know that this is pretty widespread. And what have they done? Nothing! The C race is STILL with tire wear, and I bet tomorrow's race will be too.
And some people will keep defending them "that it is not so easy to change the settings". Seriously, how complicated is to set the settings in a lobby yourself, how hard do you think this would be for PD for the C race? How long would it take them to do that?

And what makes me really quite emotional about this: exactly this mentality gives the cheaters all opportunities to keep enjoying this and winning the races. And at the same time apparently PD sees no rush to fix this, at least quickly fix this by disabling tire wear for the C race for the time being.

I am a firm believer that everyone should have the same chances, not to die in beauty and let the cheaters win.

If EVERYONE just used this exploit, if EVERYONE got onto the C race lobby and told everyone else openly about this, then EVERYONE would have the same chance to win the C race, NOT give just the cheaters a massive advantage!
And at the same time PD would feel the pressure to finally DO something about this, because it would be a massive ridicule for them if everyone did this. Instead the ridicule is on the gamers, while PD sits there and apparently sees no need for immediate action (except for the wild fantasies of some here that the "big ban hammer" will come for those using this).

But instead people waste time checking old replays and videos, don't race in the C race, bitch about the cheaters, but still let them win, and give PD no reason to change anything whatsoever. The 1.12 version is probably 2-3 weeks away judging from their previous version releases. So what is gonna happen in these 2-3 weeks? PD keeps the tire wear on? Cheaters keep cheating and winning, people keep boycotting, people keep checking replays and bitching... does that really make sense!?

And because someone said what about the pit lane bug? Should everyone have used that one too? Yes everyone should have used it too! It would have been an embarrassment for PD if that happened and for sure they wouldn't have taken months and months and months to fix something as easy to fix as a lap counter.

Apparently the vast majority here violently disagrees with my opinion, but in my eyes that doesn't make it wrong, that ultimately it would be the way smarter and way fairer solution to just use this "cheat" for the time being, and give everyone the opportunity to use it, not just the cheaters. The more it is used the less it helps the real cheaters and the sooner it would go away.

I can't wait for you to get banned if that's your attitude.

Are you new to gaming:confused:. This isn't a Sport Mode or GT thing, it's a gaming thing. There are lots of people who spend copious amounts of time looking for glitches and exploits just for fun and a bit of notoriety. Were you around for GT5? Did you ever see how the SSR7 glitch worked? I could never fathom how the heck someone found this glitch but they did. I picked this video at random but I see a couple of our very own GTP'ers in there. I was probably in there too, just didn't make it there fast enough:lol::

Judging by this video, this is someone very experienced with this exploit, who knows the exact time when to do it to not cost him any pace and does it extremely quickly. Lots of practice no doubt.

But is it the smart way?

Options:
1) stop playing race C for a while until PD fix it.
2) use a car with police or safety car livery. Hit the cheater as hard as you can. It could be other type of fun as they care the win so much.
3) adapt it strategically. Start some thread to discuss how to use it, e.g. which straight or corner to use it is the best? Practice the press button sequence just like how we practice hot lap to squeeze few mini-seconds. Think about how many time to use it just like how we discuss 1-pit or no-pit strategy before.
4) keep play race C as usual. But spend more time to check replay than the race. And then yelling on the cheaters in this forum.

P.S. don’t ban me. 2, 3 and 4 is just a joke :D

SSR7 came after PD tried to stop the same thing happening at the nurb 24h iirc, we were doing it in private lobbies with many laps set to gain quick xp or whatever it was.

Fun times. 👍

I missed the Nurb one but I was all over the SSR7 glitch. It saved a lot of time with the Redbull running Like the Wind over and over, with a can of beans on the enter button and elastic bands placed just so on the controller:lol:.

He would have won without cheating too, so sad and so disappointing.

How can you assume he would win? With worn out tires he could very well spin, lose time or go off track, as everyone does from time to time. But he decided to exploit the bug instead. I already had a bad impression of him through other dirty moves but this is just ridiculous.

I would love if every single player who did this would get a lifetime ban. I doubt it will happen though.

I'm glad I spent my time just lapping to get top1. :dopey:

Taking advantage of a bug is cheating. People who intentionally use exploits in GT Sport damage the integrity of the game as a legitimate esport. They should be penalized or banned.

Did my only online race this week on Maggiore in a lobby with heavy tyre wear. Afterwards i knew, why. The Host (Leader) started on super soft and pitted only once, while the SS and AS Drivers on SuperSofts had to pit after 2 or 3 Laps and change to hard or medium. He gained time on us even when we got new hard or medium tires over 7 or 8 laps until he pitted.
I wanted to save the replay to see what happend. There was no way he could win with a 40 sec lead against other AS and SS guys in the lobby without cheating in 8 laps... It was a Gr.3 Race.
But he closed the session after the race, before i saved replay.

Might be completely unrelated but I've been disconnected twice in Race C in the past 2 days whereas I have not had that issue for quite a while.

Possible that triggering this issue contributes to dedicated server issues (complete speculation).

I'm annoyed as my driver rating is beginning to tank as a result.

Maybe. But this is not a excuse for doing this multiple times in a race. By the way, second place was very strong and nearly behind them untill the pitstop. If first place drive fairly, he had to stop too, or driving with worn tires and map 2 or 3 to the end. Maybe the second got a chance to catch him up with map 1 and fresh tires?!

That guy in the latest video is one of the elite drivers on the EU servers, he'll have won many, many times without cheating. There are only a handful of players that could challenge him. If the average high A, low S driver cheated like that they would probably still struggle to beat him if he did the race normally and yet he still glitched, just unbelievable really. 🤬

As i read this bug exists since december:
I've checked my earliest replays and this has been going on since Early mid December
Maybe he is good, but maybe he is cheating for a while and have many wins that are not legit. The whole game in sports mode is pointless, and FIA too now.

+ 1.

My biggest problem with it is being accused of it for winning races now. Won the Monza race tonight on a no stopper and everyone in the post race was calling me a cheat haha.

But it's not cheating if it's in the game. Right? ;)

bitch about the cheaters

Firstival, as soon as i read about this glitch, i warned our guys at our local forum about it and adviced not to praticipate at C-Races. I didnt participate of course at these races, too. But on one point I agree to FkAustria1911, i also do feel an over-not honest-correctness in some posts, like "Oooooohhhhh nooooooooooo how can somebody be that evil ohhhhhhhhhh...."

Well well well, another 'great player' I doubt he even knows what shame is.
I wish saudi arabia owned PD, invited all these players to a fake GT Academy in saudi arabia and then cut their hands off.

Any expectations that these 'players' would win anyway, is not a thought that comes to my mind.

If a Billionaire comes around your house and steals everything you own, it doesn't matter, because he could have afforded to buy all your stuff without needing to steal it.

You can't be serious. :odd:

The point @ASH32 made was not 'oh well he's good enough to win anyway' it was 'why is he cheating, he's good enough to win anyway' imo
