It depends what the multiplier is set to. It has been increasing recently, so presumably the game is trying to make everyone pit or run at map 4 or 5 for example.

If I remember tires were at x16 and fuel at x6.I may be wrong but for sure I know a no pit strategy is always an option in short races.Being effective is another matter.

PD were made aware of this on Monday/Tuesday thanks to members, I would think anyone sending a video to PD showing themselves using this bug to win a race is just going to put themselves at the top of the list to be banned lol

Or the opposite. Maybe they are simply trying to send a message to PD that they were "testing" and had no intention to defeat the system. All for the greater good and all that, in an attempt to not suffer any consequences.

I don't have any proof as the pit back ground noise is too loud to know what happened in the pits, but in the only 2 replays I have from January with him in it, his pit crew seemed to work faster than the cars around him.

Maybe he has been doping his pit crew with performance enhancing substances too then. We'll have to contact WADA

If so, it makes me wonder where the priorities lie. I think it's great for the game to have that kind of exposure and nice for the participants as well, plus prize money. Please PD don't let us down and clean up your programming, at least for official events.

Without personally knowing if both parties were happy for the conversation to be made public and gave their consent, I would assume the 'guy testing the bug' in the video was wanting his explanation made public.

This is only me but I find that "testing a bug" a really weak point of defence.
Why?I'll explain.
I did not know about this "bug".I've read about it in these forums and also did check the video evidence provided from other fellow members.So I know it is not just a speculation and its actually real.Since I dont use "bugs",I have zero reason to "test" something I know it is in the game.

That's just crazy. How in the world do people find this stuff. I log on just to play normal and don't go looking for ways to get an advantage. But for those that do the odds of finding something like this is not in your favor as there literally thousands of different combinations of buttons to push. Just makes you wonder what eles is out there nobody has found yet.

I guess someone was on G29 with that dodgy buttons layout where you press that button without wanting it. And he noticed that bug like that.

Given the above I'm sure this is a patch. Usually the scheduled weekly maintenance does not also include an update.

Doesn't work offline, only in sport and lobby. But you can test it in a private lobby with no one else on the track, that's how I made my videos doing the glitch.

That's what I meant by statement, the won't directly say "we fixed the issue where pressing a few buttons in the menu magically refreshes your tires" or however. That is what I find odd.
