NEW EXPLOIT - Tyre "healing" without stopping

no, it's one button, then 2 presses on directional pad, then another button, then another button twice.

You make it sound like it is a crazy cheat code combination that has to be entered blindly and that someone spent hundreds of hours of trying to find - yet it is just entering a submenu and exiting from it to resume the game...

By your standard the button combination required to simply enter the C race would sound like some wild h4x0r "stuff" (word I am not allowed to write here).

I don't know if it's just placebo? but this works for me in qualifying :

TRIANGLE, LEFT, RIGHT, RIGHT, L2, L1, SQUARE

No it isn't. But you can reactive the grip bug and disable penalties with combination on more speed. Please say no other. It works as follow:

Go out of the room. Come in again. Close the door. Open it. Close it again. Clap hands two times and turn off light. Clap hands again and turn on/off/on lights. Then you are able to multiple car speed by 1.5 and grip by 1.7. This, and only this is the only cheat i ever use. For every race!

To be serious again, maybe its off-topic, but for me the worst cheating is to downgrade your DR by intentionaly loosing to keep /fall down to D-Level to gain dozens/ hundreds of wins, because you stole and demotivate the slower/ unpractised players, who have the right to win in their league. If you don't get those trophys for 91 (as i remember) wins for example by normal playing, then its not ment to be. Just that simple.

That's a good point. In all the other GT games with online capability it was possible to cheat your way to completion using various methods both on and off line without directly hurting other players(there was still plenty of complaining about it though).

I think people are sandbagging and abusing the rating system mostly to get to the highest levels for ego and a hope of better racing, perhaps in doing this they are actually cheating themselves out of their own learning curve disrupting online play for everyone in all levels.

Whilst you can sandbag SR by pootling round at the back, you can't really sandbag DR... there comes a time when your outright pace will limit your ability to progress.

Sandbagging is lowering it down to what u actually are capable of. So sandbagging DR is quite easy really, just quit the races and you will drop down the ranks fast.

Yes, that's how I understand it... but @LennyB post used the term in relation to increase ratings... so I used the term to maintain context.

Personally, other than the crashing your SR to get the DR gain bug, I don't see how you manipulate your DR upwards.

I think he meant lowering it as well to be able to increase wins and get the 91 wins needed for the trophy.

But yes, manipulating it upwards is gonna be hard if you dont got the pace for it.

This would seem to indicate upward sandbagging (if that actually exists :D).

Sure Lenny will come back to clarify.

Without getting bogged down with whom done what to whom, I think we can all agree that cheating is the worst form of cheating.

I know I could reduce my DR to where it should be, by entering fantasy track races as I get lost on those tracks.

Edited for context :

Yeah I wasn't real clear there, you can manipulate the system to go upward to a point as you said before your skill can come into play. I tried to address both the 91 wins and sandbagging upward.

Between the 3 of us we must have hit the trifecta lol. The underlying point was about affecting other peoples gaming in a negative way and also perhaps cheating yourself by worrying too much about your ratings.

I'm sure now it's all clear as mud.

Just did a Maggiore race C, happy to report that not a single driver used the bug, it was a good fair race (other than the one trying to block me a few times).

Yes I had a few earlier, not the best driving standards wise, one was alright I suppose but no clear cheaters at least. Bet they'll be on by now though.

I think I understand

Never crossed my mind to use glitches/bugs but I did consider crashing my SR early in the game to kill my DR and chase the wins/poles trophies, but once I got to DRS I couldn't face doing it.

Now I've made that decision, I know it will now take a good amount of persistence to get those trophies now. I'm where I should be on ranking (given I have over 67k DR points in only 116 races), but wins and poles are few and far between (33 to date) as I'm always matched against the fastest Aliens... and reality is I'm not quite that fast

They should ban a few of the people who've been caught on video using the glitch in Sport Mode. To make an example out of them.
I have raced ppl amd they are always in front putting qualy lap times in all race long and you could see a gap but I did not save the replay

You dont even have to sandbag DR for wins, Sandbag your SR to B or A and put in a qualifying time within 2 seconds of the top 10. This qualified me in the top 3 for almost every race. The fact that your in Top 3 keeps the rabble out of the way(except first corner as always)

Yes even lower S safety rating can do it, of course when I was nearly 2 seconds faster than most of the field the one guy within .5 of a second of me then punted me clean off on the first lap so he could win.

I didn't drop safety on purpose though, Monza happened to me.

Is it cheating when not qualifying on purpose to start at the end of the grid so you improve your DR? Or to start at top 5 but fall back to the end of the field to stay out of trouble? I got both in just one race just 5 minutes ago :|

Guys, what should i say? I drove maggiore atm, and the player from yesterday, that looses yesterday monza on second place, where the first place cheated tires, startet today from pole. Player from position 4 cheated tires twice and won. The pole guy had a little failure und round 10, but no chance, because the cheater had new tires. Video comes tomorrow after rendering.

same here, I dropped from 99SR to low SRB after a few Monza races and since then frequent lagging has kept me in SR A/B . Im not actively trying to get my SR back to S atm so that I can raise my DR a bit (though my sport mode appearances have decreased significantly lately)

I was getting top 3 as DR D SR S (but rarely finishing in top 5 as I was still learning the tracks), now with DR C or B it depends on the rest of the field, either 2nd or 5th or 12th since i keep getting matched with SR A and S's.
