I definitely don't think PD can ban anyone. It is highly unlikely that they have pause statistics being counted every race. They need definitive proof someone was cheating. This was easy to detect for the pit glitch because the user would set an ungodly best lap in the process.
That being said, this doesn't mean that you should use the glitch. Have self respect.

I think they could if they wanted to spend the man hours to hunt a glitch user down, definitely can't ban them all though. I've made that point and it's been rejected by the masses. Of course deep down we all know the solution is a patch.

I expect they do have data from pitstop times that are displayed to the player when they exit the pits. Hopefully they take action on this.
I hope they have been aware of it before this week, and started increasing the tire wear to catch the cheats. They should be able to identify them pretty easy.
Edit : @Sofia Speed you could have blanked out the players name from his replies. Or asked for his consent for the conversation to be displayed in a public forum.

But i also thank somehow the Glitcher, who found out that this can be done. Don't missunderstood me Guys, but since "Beta-Testing" is in our Hands, i'll guess this must be done to show PD their Bugs.

PD cannot bad the cheaters fast enough, they regenerate as fast as their tires do.

I'm amazed it took more than 3 months for players to find this glitch. I hit the pause button constantly on my G29 when trying to make TCS and brake bias adjustments, it's only one more button press and !magic new tires! happen.

EDIT:To be honest,the state of the game and how "polished" it is in combination with how PD done from beta till now is a good point to actually make a point about their "efficiency".
But imo they have the resourses to fix bugs asap and deal with cheaters.If they are going to do that is another matter.

I expect the first few guys found this in open lobbies by accident, then it spread by people watching replays and spotting it.
I bet the people who have been using this for months in sports/fia races but only during pitstops are gutted that the guy in the OP video used it so blatantly that it was identified by someone with integrity. Thanks again to @eAxis Patohm for initiating this getting patched.

I don't think you read my post, yes I played gt online 10 years ago, and yes I play gt online now. Guess what I was doing those 10 years in between, playing gt online. I've watched PD in action this whole time and there is no way they can ban all the cheaters, deter new cheaters from cheating and so on and so forth.
I've grown tired of you quoting every post I make so please don't take offense if I stop responding.

Back to the topic,I remember talking about GTS problems since beta and how some where anxious to defend GTS.Some of those problems are (in many ways) connected/related to the glitches/bugs and other -problems- are still here.Its really interesting to see that after a few months,some people that claimed that GTS is the best racing game ever -super polished,with no game breaking bugs- ,are not so active in the forum.
No program/game is bug free from the first day.Now, how do you (PD) solve those problems (bugs or others) and how fast is the question.
From that point of view,it does not looks so good even if they fix the "tire change on the road" one with that update.
They should ban a few of the people who've been caught on video using the glitch in Sport Mode. To make an example out of them.
