Just introducing myself. I just bought GT4 a few days ago and have been playing the GT series forever. I really enjoy the art of drifting and this site has really brought a new era to Gran Turismo. I'm new to drifting on GT4 also.

don't bring the whole high power drifting requires more skill argument up again, both options have easy and hard areas to master.

Sorry to bring it up again Ev0, guess it has been posted alot around this site. Congrats on over 300 posts Mr. GTP Enthusiast. 👍

Welcome AlfaRomea, you have found a great source of infomation for drifting in GT4, use it wisely. :)

Hey, I just started drifting today, I'm using a HKS Silvia, with turbo stage four, and I've been practicing around Suzuka and 'Mountain.

I'm just wondering when to apply the brake during drifting, I have the aids turned off but i find if i brake before a corner the grip returns and I try to make up for this by accelorating, but this just sends me straight into a spin.

welcome to gtp!
you apply it when you feel nessecary. sometimes i brake multiple times during a corner, it all depends on the car/corner/and other factors.
im going to reccomend you start with a car that has lower hp. somewhere around 160-200 range. dont forget to check the stickies at the top of the forum.

Welcome 86-Driver, go the Trueno! That is one of my favs too. Hope you enjoy it here and your drifting skills increase, which I'm sure they will if you keep at it. 👍

Thanks mate i hope they will as well. um i have a question how do i upload videos from my ps2 to my laptop. if u or anyone can help me that would be great

cheers guys

Hi, you may have seen me in the other forums but I'm a total noob to drifting. I tried my 500hp Dodge Viper SRT10 with Economy tires & high suspension &...I span around the course. Well, it's better than when it has 1000hp!

Hi all. Just registered today for forums and racing league. I found drifting on GT3 with an ae86 lethal around apricot hill, but GT4 is so much different. Cant seem to get the setup right to kick the back out at about 80/90mph. Any tips?

The Better way to start out drifting is a low power car to learn the basics, but thats just my opinion. 👍

I was using my SRT10 after some 300mph tests so it had all the parts. I tuned them all differently & added economy tires & it certainly drifts but not always in control.

hey there Chilly-Teesside,
i have been driving an AE86 trueno on GT4 for a bit and one hint i can give u if u have the money is get a close ratio gear box and any corner u got round if u shift down a few gears u will side round the corner. i found this to be an easy way to get use to the game and also adapt my settings to suit me as i got betta. so yeah try that mate

Well, most people on this site capture their videos with a capture card in their computer. I use my video camera, I plug it into my tv and can record what is displayed on tv. There are some that just record the tv with a video camera, which works. Hope this helps. :)

a usb memory stick would solve that.

Use this if you want to get your photos off the PS2. :)

Welcome to all the new members, this site sure is popular. Remember to get involved and have fun. 👍
