well my name Tyron, im new and only 16...im 92 % into the game and been playing for about its release date..and i currently have 4013 miles on my hks s15 due to drifting with my logitec steering wheel.

Hey there gt fans! I recently started playing gt4 again after around 7 months off. Sadly in my absence from home my gt4 data was deleted! :grumpy: But its given me a chance to have an easy transition back into the game.

Drifting has been a stand out driving style to me in the last few years and i recently started watching intial D. Im currently learning in a trueno apex tuned to 212 with fresh oil.
Im finding it challenging but very inspiring, especially when you pull off drifts that you never imagined you could.
And a finally a big thumbs up to "boundary layer" and "swift" your tutorial has really helped to get me on my way!!

Welcome akina_speedstar, hope you enjoy it here at the great GTPlanet.com. :)

i handbrake mid corner. but i always brake to enitiate a drift. or power over, or scandinavian flik/feint drift. i've been drifting for around 4 days now lol, i did do some a while back in the holden. thats got a lot of handbrake action in it. not enough power from the engine. The TVR is semi tuned. around 430 BHP. soft sus so it don't take much to get it going. thats why you don't see me do much braking with it.

Hi, im carl. I started to drift on friday, looked for a giude and found this forum. I started drifting by having the understeer setting on 10 and the rest on 0. Ive now learnt this is not the way to start drifting. I followed the guide on FR drinting and tryed the settings that were posted for the S2000. I couldnt drive the car very well at all. I was understeering into ever corner. I adjusted some setting but in the end put the back to the guide settings and but a grade better tyres up front and now I feel im doing alot better

Hi, just new to gt4 but played gt2 a while back. :) After a week I finally adapted to gt4's physics but I still can't make a file yet, because don't have a memory card, so i'm drifting the (stock?) amuse s2000 street ver. :)

To learn to drift, you should start with a low powered car, 180-280 hp. As this takes much more skill then high power drifting, you will become a better drifter.
:D

I thought it was harder to drift a higher powered car, because you have to have more delicate throttle control. I agree with you ~Drift King~ anyway, my first drift cars didn't have much power. The cars I like to drift now don't have much power either. :)

Good luck to all the new members. 👍

Yea, high powered cars take as much as a throttle tap to get it sideways. But its not as easy with a car with only 200hp. So you have to get the right settings and learn techniques to get it and keep it sideways. :D
