New Pagani Supercar - introducing the Pagani Huayra!

It's equally as ugly as all the Zondas before it. Good god this thing is hideous.

That sucker is low.

Why does it blow raspberries on upshift? o.O
It's got something to do with direct injection and fuel cutoff during upshifts on all these fancy new cars. Sounds like it's ripping ass, and frankly, sounds terrible. They've mentioned it on Top Gear on a couple cars. Apparently they think it sounds good, but it's not an actual backfire. It's more like the engine brake on semi trucks.

I prefer the type of backfires produced by the rpm-based oil injection of a rotary engine. Even when the throttle is closed it injects oil for lubrication, and when that oil exits the exhaust and meets a 1500 degree manifold, poof, giant flame out the exhaust.

I have to say, this thing will probably be just incredible. But it does look, very, very weird...

...like its name.

+1, that is VERY low!
I think if it where to be seen in real life, even those saying there not real keen on the front end, would agree that it looks tough!:mischievous:
Now we just need one in GT...poor PD they can't keep up with our want for more Automotive goodness!

Too bad none from the front also. I'd like to see how strange the active aero looks.

Lol so true and so ugly, the new lambo for me please!

Maybe they should have just called it the Pagani Nien Nunb to pre-empt the criticism  I do agree the looks of the Huayra are a bit challenging from some angles, especially the front, but it has grown on me the more I've seen of it. The Zonda is still going to be many peoples favourite Pagani for a while though.

I'm not sure I agree about comparing it with the Aventador, the Lambo is $320,000ish and the Huayra will be $1,500,000ish. I know they're quite similar in terms of performance, and the Lambo is therefore an absolute bargain, but Pagani's are in a different league in terms of "specialness" which apparently some people are prepared to pay a very high premium for.

How do you pronounce that name? I'm just going about saying Hyena instead as I have no interest in figuring out myself.

I guess so in the rear clamshell and the front grill.

And the wing mirrors.

I agree though, at first glance, it appears to be one of the many variations of a standard zonda.

It looks great on certain angles (read: certain angles), but the Zonda still looks better in my opinion, although I welcome change. I feel that like the Enzo, this car will eventually start to grow on me. I still can't get over the front end of this car however.

By the way, separated at birth?
