Hey everyone.

Smuttney, that's a sweet list... I've been considering the Blitz R34 for a while, you think I should buy it? (On the subject, anyone got an Amuse CarbonR?)

Lucky you Viper with the sweet M-spec ;)

villainpl, hey. I don't drive the R34 GT-R so I'm not sure how it stacks up against the M.N.P. version, but I think it runs more or less exactly the same if you hadn't changed the oil. It'll be taken into account.

i thought a long time about buying the carbonR but i didn't buy it yet. maybe i'm gonna try it the next time.....i'll let you know.

It's ME again.

Thanks viperpilot. And if D.E. :sly: doesn't mind then i do have a bloody good challenge (sorry 'bout the swearing). Can't wait to test you all.

Asfor the AMUSE Carbon R i just so happen to have bought one. THE PRICE!!!
ANyhowz, i have just taken it for a test lap round the NURBERGER NORDER
(alot easier :indiff: )

Heres my quick review:

From the start you do notice the wheel spin(No TCS or ASM) 1st, 2nd and 3rd, this is because of the rear wheel drive and overpowering ponies, just shy of SIX hundred.
Hitting the rev limiter, you have to take a quick double take!! 10,000 rpm topsies.
and as you move to the rear view your ears have a multiple orgasm at the sounds coming from the ginormous rear can! absolute heaven.

Handling,
now this is where you might be disappointed. There is alot of understeer!
especially if you are over the tyre limits, get inside thelimits, and you can have a jolly old time with the rear wheels. which is great fun! :dunce: the acceleration is quick, and on the LooooooNG straight i hit 200mph!

My lap time was 8'08:881
bear in mind that i did wonder off track a couple of times (Okaay, ten or eleven), but this is standard, and it is a stormer to drive, AND looks tripped out! a very promising SKYLINE.

!£!"! Definately get this !"!£!
💡 💡 💡 💡 💡 💡 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍

--------------------------------EDIT----------------------------

Sorry D.E. got so carried away with my reviewing there, so the BLITZ R34.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :scared: :scared: SPANKING :scared: :scared: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lovely oversteer on full power coming out of corners, very balanced (4 wheel drive) on smooth cornering, easyto handle on AND OFF the road ( no comments on my 4X4 skills) one of the best SKYLINES in the game. GEEDDIT!?!?!?!!!!! 👍 👍 👍
oh yeaqh when we say (type) the word SKYLINE could we pleeeease use CAPITOLS to emphasise the AOURA(?!?) and godlike stature of the word and its forthcomings :) :) :) :) :) :)
cheers to you all me HARTIES Argh

Dark Elite, thus I represent you my application for membership of Skyline Squadron's aces!! Proof.

sorry for the horrible quality, i took t with my cam phone and then took a webcam pic from the phone.. but it's clear enough.

OK so tomorrow I will use "Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 Midnight Purple Edition"(as you pointed at some of the posts) without (or with ???????) oil change (10 laps on both with and without) stock on S2 tyres and i will try to make some picture.
I used R34VspecII cos i just love that model... :-)

villainpl, without oil change please :) I think the car is nearly the same as the R34 V2 anyway so you should enjoy it 👍

Leonidae, the spaces are drying up but, you're in. One space left now folks! Get to those laptimes!

Great reviews smuttney. I saw the can on the CarbonR Skyline and thought to myself, 'that's gonna be sweet' and I was too right by the sounds of your review! I think what I'll do is get the CarbonR and mess with it until I have it understeering a bit less but the back end kicking out when I hit the throttle, thus I can simply power her round the corners when I feel like it! What are the brakes like? (Oh yeah, I'll use bold for the word Skyline from now 👍 ) Just noticed I ran a faster time in the MNP than you did in the CarbonR, so it must be pretty overpowered :D!

Oh yeah, you say you have a test? Tell us man! Tell us!

Still difficult to choose between the Blitz Skyline and the CarbonR Skyline but we'll see soon ;)
Smuttney, if your challenge involves either of these cars do let me know, because I'll end up buying the wrong one otherwise  !

OK so i will drive it without oil change. I will send my time in about 3h.

So here is my time with Skyline GT-R M.N.P. III '00 stock, no oil change, S2 tyres, DS2, AT:
7'53.786 - at least 2sec to shave down but not within first 10 laps :/

Hi again.

Well my challenge is a 7 lap time trial, entries to come in on monday, 7 days to get your best 1 lap time and full 7 laps. (bring it on!!)

IN THE WET :scared:

the tsukuba circuit, just before the nurburgring in the world cicuits.
The car is up to you either the amuse, or the blitz, in standard form.
the blitz is alot more stable without tuning, and the carbonR is very overpowered especially for the wet. you choose?!?

viperpilot
i havent got the amuse fully tuned to mess about with yet but i will have by the weekend

i also decided to buy all the SKYLINES in standard form from the nissan dealer, so i will go through each one and give some quick points about each one.

cheers 👍 👍 :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

villianpl... Sheesh. For an Automatic transmission drive that is very fast. Well done, but I'd like a picture to show it please.

smuttney, that's gonna be wild :) nice choice! Not sure I quite understand your lap count though, I think we should be allowed any amount of practice, as you can't prove how much or little you trained with the car and track... Just a suggestion. I assume the final time we send in will be for a single lap? There's no way to do total times in Free Run, so I suppose it'll have to be.

Very nice idea, I think I'll take the Blitz myself, having used the Mercedes SL65 for a while to do the SL races (737 lb/ft of torque!:scared: ) I'm a bit nervous of massive power :). But then again Maybe, Just Maybe the Amuse is faster so I might get that too (yeah I know thats 450 000cr. gone but it's the two "best" Skylines in my garage too ;)

DE

that means we should send in our best time at tsukuba? the best lap-time or am i wrong?

smuttney, i've bought a carbonR and tuned it to the max........it's a lot of power and torque but nice to drive. maybe i'm gonna buy the blitz too and tune it.

I think we send in the best lap out of a set of 7 and then take the total time of the seven.

Hmm... I'm still not sure... That's too hard to regulate and would need seven pictures uploading to verify

viper, I think you'll have to un-bolt your bolt-ons for this :P some of us can't afford the 200 000cr. for the car, never mind another 150 000 maxing it out!

DE

hey members, :sly:

Sorry bout calling in all the confusion i guess i didn't quite think it through all the way.

To clarify
The times that i wanted were your best lap, and the best of seven laps.
you could practice all you want. but i have been trying, and can't get a seven lap time, so we'll scrap the seven lap times.

As for how how much you can afford????

Well i spent 200,000 on one of the cars, and then just did the suspension (16,000), and tyres (47,000 for R5's). The power is not important in the wet, because you just wheel spin.

So to clarify (and change) a liitle bit more;
Seven days to do this (from monday),
so i will produce a table in my post on tuesday 4th october with the standings.

The track;

The TSUKUBA CIRCUIT (WET)

in the world circuits one before the NURBERGRING.

THE CAR
The AMUSE CARBON R34 OR The BLITZ D1 SPEC SKYLINE

THE CALLENGE
One lap time (the fastest)
photo or reply data post for confirmation.

If your stuck on money take the GT-RM.N.P III.

Well i hope that is what you were asking for. Don't worry bout asking or PMing me to clarify. cheers for the Q's, they always help.

Good Luck RACER'S
Cheers :sly: :sly: :sly: :sly: :sly: :sly: :sly: :sly: :sly:

Cool

EDIT - The above is an immediate reaction  here comes my real reply :P

So, to summarise, we take either the CarbonR or the Blitz ER34 to Tsukuba Circuit - WET and run infinite practice laps with infinite tuning and send in the time for one lap, closing date next Monday. Correct?

Oh, I bought an Amuse CarbonR earlier this morning... It really is an awesome car, simply fit Sport Hards and turn off the aids and you're AWAY in a blurry, perfect world of powerslides and burnouts :):):)

DE

Thanks for letting me know what to aim for :) now I'll have a go at smashing that.. or myself! By the way, are driving aids allowed? (I don't care because I think they're for ponces so they'll be off of my Amuse, but just so others know.)

DE

Good question,

well i honestly believe that to drive fast laps you have to use NO aids :) :) :) :) but you can use them if you really want. :grumpy: :grumpy: :grumpy: :grumpy:
If that how you drive, then thats how you drive. 👍 👍
cheers

Well ASM is definitely out, I cannot have a computer messing with my steering :yuck: but maybe, just maybe maybe maybe I'll use TCS One for saying it's wet :P. I see what you mean about the Amuse understeering, I've just ran a few race-meeting laps at the Sarthe and everyone can take the corners faster than me in my CarbonR. Maybe if I invest in an LSD and piddle about with the initial and acceleration I can fix that.

Less than half throttle coming out of hairpins because of 590 mad Japanese horses kicking the rear wheels outta line :D:D:D

DE

i've made 1'15:xxx with the blitz SKYLINE totally tuned with S3-tyres........with the amuse carbonR i've made 1'10:630 with R3-tyres. but i've got no photo with the carbonR - d'oh!

Good evening :dopey: :dopey: :dopey:

I have bought everything for both the cars,

The amuse handles so much better with the LSD and SUSP mods on and top power is (on the BIG power graph) 862bhp. So quick on turn in because of the CARBON body totally different car.

So far with the blitz i have a 1'12:719
Heres the records page so you can see;

PIC
Have any of you got the GRAN TURISMO SKYLINE GT-R (Pace Car) '01???

I think it has to be the best SKYLINE in the game. 900 mad ponies and mental handling, OH and i forgot;
:dunce: :dunce: :dunce: !!!FLASHING LIGHTS!!! :dunce: :dunce: :dunce:
Love it.
cheers :sly: :sly: :sly:

So... generally people are doing better with the Blitz? I don't care I'll use the Amuse because I'm power mad :mischievous: !

smuttney, you've just tempted me into spending another 25,000cr. on the car, but if it's as worth it as you say I don't care what my bank manager says :P I want rid of the understeer!

I'll have to aquire a PaceCar Skyline because I have heard good things about it. By the way, don't be tempted by the Falken GT-R because it's the cheapest JGTC Skyline for a very good reason :yuck:

DE

hey again,

I was thinking to myself, if it is going to be worth buying any of the JGTC cars, although they look cool, do they go just as good as they look, and theni daid to myself ;;;;

i think i will save up, and buy them all at the same time, just so i am not left there (thinking to myself) going, "well i wonder if the one that i didn't buy goes better",
I have to wait for the mo. Although if you have any recommendations please feel free?!?!

Oh i have done the SKYLINE ROAD TEST,
(tested all the standard SKYLINES (GTR '00, GTR V-specII '00, V-specII NUR '02, M-spec '01, V-spec N1 '00 and M-spec NUR '02)).

Well, the highest power goes to the R34 V-SpecII Núr at 342BHP (on garage screen) and it certainly proves it. This also happens to be the quickest round the track (Laguna Seca) by about .5 - 1 second. It is alot stiffer and more balanced with just a hint of :sly: :sly: oversteer :sly: :sly: Lovely Jubley.
Last place was the standard R34 GTR with 333BHP and a very flat and unresponsive drive when chellenged with the others. the other four cars are in the middle of the two. So go fer da V-Spec II Núr for all your driving needs.lol.
Definately the best base SKYLINE for tuning.

!Smuttney out!
cheers
👍 👍 💡 💡 :yuck: :ill: :indiff: :)

EDIT
also i have just got a 1'02.062 with the blitZ gonna try for under 1min as my target

I reckon the fastest of the JGTCs is the red thing with the new LED lights, that low-down concept thing. But the coolest has to be the Pennzoil :) yellow :) nice noise :)
I would actually advise against buying all the JGTCs, firstly because it will sink almost ten million from your credit rating  and secondly because you're bound to forget about one, it'll just sit there in your garage with no miles on it... It will be harder to remember exactly what each one is like if you buy them all.

I'm not surprised at the Nur M-Spec 34 making the cut as the fastest stock road Skyline, and respect to you for not getting sly practice by using Tsukuba in the tests :sly::)

I still haven't got a lap in at Tsukuba! Noo... I haven't got any free time. I'll try and make some time tomorrow and have a go ;)
