Next GT Sport Update Arrives July 31, Brings Four (Edit: FIVE!) New Cars

Nord connects to the GP circuit. Yes?

They share none of the same parts of track. Just like Yamagiwa and Miyabi. However in both of them, there is a 'long' version connecting the 2. The 2 separate layouts do not share any track.

That's not what I was saying. People are saying all Sardegna layouts will be in a CE. I didn't think all Willow Springs were all connected. Yet, they're all in CE. I agreed with the post that believes Sardegna will be the Layout A. I don't see what the problem is.

I don't know what this no-oversteer and unplayability talk is that I've been seeing. So much exaggeration going on there. You very much can easily oversteer and the game is very much still playable after that update. You shouldn't expect much oversteer when you're using RS and RSS tires all the time. RH and RM are the tires for you. Even then, they're racing tires so you should expect crazy levels of grip. You don't see real drivers struggling to accelerate out of every corner without fishtailing in their GT3's.
I wonder if this is a complaint mostly from controller users?

We should start 2 threads for updates now - one called ‘The +ve update thread’ and one - ‘The -ve update thread’. That way all the negative people can get together and b**ch about the update, and the rest of us can get together to appreciate PD’s efforts for still supporting GTSport,
Then I would have to read two threads!

What we suspect about his update so far is pretty good. I don't like every car but PD can't make everyone happy so I live with it. I still support GT Sport by getting on and playing every single day. Even though I have over 17million credits and at least 1 of every 20 million credit car I will occasionally buy a car using real $$.

I just wish PD would give me everything I want in the game!:lol::lol:

Not gonna happen.

I don’t necessarily buy into the assumption that smaller updates are happening because more development focus is on the next GT title.

My theory is that PD has made the DLC batches smaller so they can distribute content on a monthly basis for as long as possible. Otherwise they would soon run out of cars from the back catalogue, which so far have been a driving force for the DLC. By holding some eggs in the basket they can keep the GT hype consistently strong for many more months and take their time developing the next game.
While I agree that this is exactly what may be happening, I absolutely hate the tactic.

If they are holding back on providing some great piece of content, like... let's say the Alfa Giulia Sprint GTA 1600 '65. That would be very upsetting. Knowing that a developer is depriving faithful users of good content would be devastating.

I guess we will never know.

When I speculated they were holding content back I was pointed to this from a recent interview with Kaz:

“I think nowadays we are no longer in the era where you hold on to the new cars and tracks that you create for the next title, and you save it all for your release. I don’t think we work that way any more. Now it is sort of like being on Spotify or the iTunes Store; I think it is more natural to have new additional cars and tracks added to the store as they are ready to go.”

I hear ya @Cerebral303 but the pace of new content is so slow that I can't help but to be concerned.

If the content stopped, then it stops. For Sport Mode, it could have stopped one we got all the Gr.3 and Gr.4 cars we needed. The core of the game are FIA Nations and Manufacturers Cups. For us mainly offline players, it's a thumbs down, but that's what GTS is about. A next phase for the franchise. Maybe be a hard pill to swallow for many players.

Again, there are plenty cars in those two Groups to use in this game. Similar to real world racing in FIA and SRO sanctioned series. Look at real world GT3 & GT4 racing(which GTS are mimicking) those are the only cars that can be used year on year.

It would be interesting if PD swapped out certain Gr.3/4 cars, for updated ones, that were new or evolutions. It would only apply to new seasons not your personal garage(in case players bought cars with real money and /or Cr).

There is zero reason to think this is or would be happening. The only reason anyone would think this is because they are mindlessly speculating and creating their own anguish and despair. Stop doing that.

what if we have only 5 cars par mounth just because PD is workin hard to give us Group 3/4 cars for World Finals?

Anyway my hopes are all on previously annonced cars as: Pikes Peak Peugeot, Lancia 037 and Formula E

E se avessimo solo 5 auto ogni mese perché PD sta lavorando su nuove auto del Gruppo 3 e 4 per le finali mondiali?
La cosa buona è che non è solo materiale riciclato da GT5 / 6
Comunque, sto ancora aspettando unnonced cars as: Pikes Peak Peugeot, Lancia 037 and Formula E
English please...

Ok, I’m out.
Technically promising for not adding Spa then adding Spa is a broken promise. It would be a good thing but still a broken promise. However adding micro-transactions is not a good thing so your example is irrelevant.

You can out now.

GT Sport has optional micro-transactions. You can turn off a setting and it’ll be like there aren’t any at all. So pretty much micro-transactions... if you want them.

That's still micro-transactions, and considering how some on this side of the forum still believes a certain Xbox racing franchise has loot boxes and micro-transactions and demonizes it because of that (When they don't have either anymore because of resultant controversies) while this side of the forum is all but fine with them in GT Sport, it screams a massive amount of hypocrisy in terms of what flies when it comes to GT and what flies with regards to other franchises.

Any chance of a post in this thread that is actually about the July update please...!

Hoping we get a silhouette when Kaz wakes up any minute now in Japan...

Don't think there will be a new track this time around as theres no place for it in the FIA schedules, but we'll find out one way or the other in 36 hours...
