I'm really intrigued to see how this race goes with all the different settings everyone's using. Just to confirm; it's not auto gears only is it, I can still use manual?!

Can't wait, although I've just realised I will have to install the two ps3 patches since I deliberately kept my game 'out of date' because I'd heard such bad things about updates, can anyone confirm?

You can disable driving aids whilst setting the lobby up - not disabling automatic gearbox means that one can use it but isn't forced to do so. Same for ABS, TCS etc. - locking the specific option only means you can't enable it.

The updates aren't bad at all, they in fact helped the game evolve quite a lot.

If it's 50% I can make it, but if it's 100% I won't be able to finish as I have to leave about 15 or so minutes before we finish.

Okay, So the winning track is Singapore. (Although it was tied with Valencia, i voted for Valencia, so i'll discount my vote)

Distance will be 75% if thats ok? There was a split between 50 and 100 so makes sense. Enough people asked for medium TC so i'll leave that enabled (only medium setting, not full), but ABS will be disabled. All other settings will be as in the original post. Hope you can all make it, it should be a cracking race. And it will be interesting to see how well very good players with no TC compare against ok players (and heavy footed players like me lol) with medium TC.

I will add you all on psn this eve, look forward to seeing you all there.

wouldnt be too sure lol, Still pretty easy to spin the car on medium with ds3. Agreed on full TC it would be a walk in the park.

Does it? Never tried medium TC but CM said that TCS in F1 2011 basically removes the wheel spin but doesn't lower the acceleration. Ah well, we'll see.

Personally, i think an average racer with medium TC wouldnt be faster than a very good, more experienced racer with no TC. Could be wrong, and if we are then i'll know not to mix the two settings again haha.. But like you said, we'll find out later

It would be hard to make a time that would suit me, due to the time difference between India and the UK. A good time would be on a saturday, 6:30pm-7:30 pm UK time.

As for tonight though, we've still got a few hours left, so spread the word! the more the merrier, lets make this a good event. I will probably start adding people on PSN after i've watched Take me out haha, and then send out invites from 10ish onwards. Ready for Qualifying at 10.30

I'm really wishing I had voted for Valencia instead of Singapore. Velencia is one of my fastest tracks, however I can no longer get a rythym at Singapore. I used to be a lot quicker there, but I'm really struggling to even get around without crashing/spinning/spinning into a wall. Still faster then legend AI though...

Nah wasn't, think one guy got disconnected, 2 crashed out with the first 5 laps, leaving just me and AI drivers, so i couldnt be bothered to carry that on... Fingers crossed for a better showing next time.

I couldn't take the sound of the glitched engine. I tried pausing the game and adjusting the volume levels but it didn't make a difference. I decided that instead of braking for the corner I'd keep my foot flat on the accelarator and drive straight into the Armco.

I got dc towards the end of qualifying, really gutted I couldn't rejoin & race.

In frustration I went and raced some random online lobbies ... All I could find was 3 lap races with loads of people crashing into me.... Never got dc though! Lol

Hope we can race again with more success! If anyone wants to add me for a race any time, feel free!
