Helluva game in Indy. I was treated to Andrew Luck throwing for a rookie record 443 yards (I was at the game).

Sorry for the Dawfreenz loss, Omnis.

=P

I'm SO nervous about next Sunday night's game at Chicago. Bears were beast slapping around the Titans like they were a college team. But I'll tell you what- nothing like a matchup of two 7-1 teams in primetime.

Too true man. But as far as I see it, now after the post-win feel has warded off, there are still glaring issues from this match in which I KNOW the video tape guy at the Texans will be sure to look for.

That o-line needs to stop with pathetic penalties on the first possessions of the game, and they gave up 3 sacks to our two. I don't really care about sacks but that's only when we match up with the opposing team's sack count. What's inexcusable is that penalty resulting in a safety.

The special teams should go with more double teams on the outer gunners so Hester can find the seams much quicker. Part of the issues with the Special Teams this year was the lack of great blocking that helped Hester get his hall of fame numbers.

Mike Tice should try not to get too cute with the O. Run the ball and stuff it down their throats. That's Chicago Bear football.

Other than the issues largely stemming from the o-line inconsistency, I have confidence in my squad. Thank God Lovie Smith knows how to adjust to games.

I'm really looking forward to seeing Alshon Jeffery's presence on the field again.👍

Doug Martin had 286 APY and 4 TDs. Leading TB to a win over Oakland 42-32.
Pittsburgh and Seattle were the other late winners.

Shame the Dolphins picked a turrible day to implode. Those 3rd down conversions were stupefying. So lucky, but that's Bruce Arians for you. Our DBs suck lol.

Your Dolphins cost me 5 bucks...

Today was also Military Appreciation Day at Lucas Oil. The Cheerleaders dressed up in WWII style show girl uniforms. Giggidy.

Plus, our entire section won a free carwash on a random draw. =D

I heard that the Cowboys have beaten three 7-0 teams in their history... and every one has gone on to win the Super Bowl. If you're a believer in history, place your bets now.

Oh lawd Terry you gone n' done it.

Accusation of racism or politically incorrect or not, I would be chasing a bucket of chicken too.

If you don't like Fried chicken, then something is terribly wrong with you.

Eagles at Saints TONIGHT!

Who dat say dey gon' beat dem Saints? Well, seven teams said they would, and five have succeeded- Washington, at Carolina, Kansas City, at Green Bay, and at Denver. Will Philadelphia beat dem Saints too? The Philadelphia Eagles will leave their Philly nest to go Angry Birds style on the New Orleans Saints. If you're the betting type, one source has the Saints as a 3-point favorite, and another has the Saints as a 7-point favorite.

Good luck to both teams tonight.

The Eagles have 450 yards of offense. They also have 13 points. Something doesn't add up.

28-13 was the score last night as the Saints took down the Eagles. Congratulations to the black and gold boys of New Orleans.

Assuming that all 32 teams have played at least eight games, anyone care to assess how your team(s) is/are doing at the halfway point of the season?

The Steelers are 5-3, but are much sharper than that in my opinion. Nashville and Oakland are spotty road games for us always, and those two games were flukes. We should be 7-1. With a big win on the road over the Super Bowl Champions, we are rolling now. Next game is Monday Night at home vs the godawful Chiefs; easy. After that we stay at home and attempt to wrangle the AFCN from the Ravens.

The Eagles are 3-5. Not quite in a free-fall but steadily on their way down. Eagles are now placed 23rd in NFL.com's Week 10 Power Rankings. Justifiably so in my opinion and here's why. One can be quick to blame the offensive line for their offensive slow-up. But, our starting QB, Michael Vick has undoubtedly lost confidence as flagged up by Reid and DeSean Jackson most recently and himself. No confidence and playing for his job does not bode well with a strong output from him. Pass protection needs improvement and the QB needs to show-up to games. At least in front of his home fans.

Whether or not Nick Foles can step-up isn't the issue here. Its more of whether or not Michael Vick can step-up. Andy Reid has placed his job in Vick's hands and playing a rookie QB at this stage of the season is extremely unlikely to yield results and of course if Foles doesn't make it, Andy Reid will lose his job sooner. Its a team in a mess offensively and if the defense can't step in a way New Orleans did in front of their own crowd, I don't see any post-season action. With the Giants, Redskins and Cowboys all in issues of their own, there is an opportunity for the Eagles to make a push for the division but again our issues are unlikely to be resolved in the short-term.

Here are your standings so far (source: Yahoo! Sports):

WEST: Denver (5-3), SD (4-4), OAK (3-5), KC (1-7)

NORTH: Chicago (7-1), GB (6-3), MIN (5-4), DET (4-4)
SOUTH: Atlanta (8-0), TB (4-4), NO (3-5), CAR (2-6)

Time to really think playoffs now that November is upon us. Teams still in the hunt need to keep playing hard as the regular season winds down.

The way I assess my Texans is that I am still plenty proud of my boys. I am still in "wait and see" mode rather than "we're going all the way." They aren't a lock for anything yet. Like I said previously, I'm proud of just how much the Texans have evolved as a franchise. Arian Foster has been the man on offense, and Matt Schaub has been a very good general for the Texans. Schaub is more of a finesse guy. He is no diva or some brash young punk. Speaking of someone who's not a diva, I'm glad Andre Johnson is being more utilized recently. He's been Old Reliable on passing plays. Owen Daniels and Kevin Walter are both solid #2 receivers when Andre Johnson isn't the target.

On defense, need I say more than J.J. Watt? Dude has been a beast since we picked him up. I also like the play of Connor Barwin. J. Joseph and Danieal Manning have been solid on defense as well. Antonio Smith is a great player, but man... he's a character! Love this dude. He's best known for making his Ninja Assassin moves after a sack or a big play. And finally, you got to love a defensive player who is merciless. Of course, I mean Linebacker Whitney Mercilus.

There's plenty of upside for the Texans. I'd love for the Texans to eventually make it to and win the Super Bowl. Maybe it happens this season; maybe it happens in some other season. But when you've followed a team for a number of years that you know can be something special, you cheer on that team as much as you can. I've seen or followed almost every regular season Texans' game since I first got into football in 2002.

Anyone else want to make their mid-season assessment of your team(s)?
