Refs bet on the Jets lol.

Man, the Dolphins O-line is atrocious. Tannehill is gonna get Tannekilled. Sherman needs to be fired and we need to cut Clabo tomorrow. We need tackles SO BADLY. Should have traded for Brandon Albert. Probably will draft Matthews or Lewan next year.

Never seen that called before, WOW.

Rule was implemented this year. You cannot use another player as a bulldozer. I was wondering what the call was there but to be honest seeing all of the Patriot fans complaining that the refs handed the Jets the victory clearly should keep their rose colored glasses on.

Five straight losses now for the Texans. Maybe we need this Bye week for extended time to do some soul searching. This game was actually much closer than what I thought this would end up as. The injuries (and I'm not making excuses) were a big part of the game as well. It just seemed right there for the Texans to pull one out. Unfortunately, the Texans just couldn't do much of anything. It's not a lack of effort. Case Keenum did a damn good job in my view. Kansas City was just that little bit better.

Damned disappointing season after the past two have gone very well. The Texans must have contracted whatever plague the 2013 Houston Astros and have done nothing but fail.

Again- no Texans action next week. This is basically extended soul searching time for us. Up next... the Texans will host the Indianapolis Colts. Texans now 2-5, losers of five straight. Congratulations to all other winners.

Things have been rough in Houston recently, eh John? Maybe you can look forward to the Rockets or something?

Meanwhile, the Bengals barely pulled out a win in Detroit. Megatron was a monster for the Lions. But despite the defense being on the field all game and with how many Bengals went down injured at some point in the game (Leon Hall's could be a serious one, achilles injury), we persevered. So I present the pros and cons of the for the Bengals (not that anyone probably cares to read it ).

Pros:
-The blocked field goal was HUGE. We eventually scored a touchdown before the half, making it a 10 point swing in our favor.
-The shanked punt by the Lions' rookie punter with a minute left in the game, leading to great field position and eventually the game winning field goal with time expiring.
-Dalton looked fairly competent out there again. He threw for over 300 yards, 3 touchdowns, and 0 interceptions for the second straight week.
-AJ Green.
-Sanu, Jones, and Gresham (when he wasn't being an idiot: see below)
-Didn't have to go into OT for the 2nd straight week
-Another win on the road
-2 game division lead

Cons:
-Gresham's stupid penalties, including: false starts, unsportsmanlike penalty for shoving a ref's arm off of him, leading to a 15 yard penalty and subsequently leading to...
-Nugent's missed field goal because of the extra long kick.
-Blowing another late lead.
-Injuries.

The zebras were making a ton of offensive pass interference calls today. Not sure why.

Did I mention how amazing Calvin Johnson is? Just watch the 50 yard td catch he had over THREE Bengal defenders. The dude simply isn't human.

Terrible coaching on the Bills part even though they won. They could have bagged it in the first half with no threat from Miami if they didn't play so idiotic.

Colts win, and these two teams could met in the AFC Playoffs. Denver, with Manning is a long way from being a great team, the defense is too rough and way too many fumbles by the offense. Manning as good as he is, does throw interceptions from time to time. Really happy for the Colts for the win, and I'm also happy that Peyton has closure with the city that still loves and respects him. :D Colts WR Reggie Wayne to have MRI tomorrow... That does concern me... A TON. :grumpy:

From 2-0... to 2-5. This has been an ugly season. I'm not looking forward to Rockets basketball just yet. I am not THAT disappointed in my 2013 Houston Texans. However, the bottom is really falling out as the Texans are doing a combination of soul searching and damage control. Our only postseason hopes are either to win the AFC South or get a Wild Card.

No matter how much you speculate a season, injuries and other factors are all variables in how a season ultimately shapes up. I didn't have the Texans to *easily* make it into the playoffs and go to the Super Bowl like a lot of fans here in Houston thought earlier. Tough season, but it isn't over.

Yeah, your team has had some of the worst injury luck this year. That is one factor that you can never *really* plan for.

Terrible coaching on the Bills part even though they won. They could have bagged it in the first half with no threat from Miami if they didn't play so idiotic.

I could say the same for Miami. And I did. If you're not happy with that win, you're a fool. Dolphins were huge favorites, and they gift-wrapped the game for Buffalo.

Vikings at Giants TONIGHT!

The game may be held at the site of this season's Super Bowl, but one of those teams that call it home- the New York Giants- isn't looking like a Super Bowl team. Then again, neither are their visitors from Minneapolis. MIN and NYG have a combined record of 1-10. (MIN: 1-4, NYG: 0-6). So it is not easy to sell a game like this one. Can the Giants finally win one? Can the Vikings pick up another win? We will find out in the shadow of New York City.

The line for this game favors NYG by 3. Good luck to both MIN and NYG tonight.

I am interested in this game for a couple of reasons: see if the Giants can finally win and to see what Josh Freeman will do

Bud Adams- owner of the Houston Oilers and Tennessee Titans has died recently at age 90. Terrible news. My thoughts and prayers go out to all whom have known and loved Bud Adams. Cause of death is unknown at this point.

Freeman cannot find any of his players on the field (should have just deliberately worn purple since he can't see them) and the Vikings continue their amazing inability to win in the United States.

It was 23-7 in East Rutherford, NJ as the Giants were reminded what winning feels like. Both NYG and MIN now have one win each on the 2013 season. Congratulations to the Giants.

In my preview, I meant to say NYG was favored by 4, not 3. Still, the Giants cash in a win. Winning feels good.

Standings update. How's your team looking?

--- AFC ---
AFC EAST: New England (5-2), NYJ (4-3), MIA (3-3), BUF (3-4)
AFC NORTH: Cincinnati (5-2), BAL and CLE (3-4 each), PIT (2-4)
AFC SOUTH: Indianapolis (5-2), TEN (3-4), HOU (2-5), JAX (0-7)
AFC WEST: Kansas City (7-0), DEN (6-1), SD (4-3), OAK (2-4)

--- NFC ---
NFC EAST: Dallas (4-3), PHI (3-4), WAS (2-4), NYG (1-6)
NFC NORTH: Green Bay (4-2), DET and CHI (4-3 each), MIN (1-5)
NFC SOUTH: New Orleans (5-1), CAR (3-3), ATL (2-4), TB (0-6)
NFC WEST: Seattle (6-1), SF (5-2), STL and ARI (3-4 each)

--- Other Observations... ---
Best Win Percentage: Kansas City (1.000)
Worst Win Percentage: Jacksonville and Tampa Bay (0.000 each)

RECORDS...
Best Home Record: Kansas City and Denver (4-0 each)
Best Away Record: Kansas City (3-0)
Worst Home Record: Jacksonville and Tampa Bay (0-3 each)
Worst Away Record: Jacksonville and New York Giants (0-4 each)

STREAKS...
Longest Winning: Kansas City (7 straight wins)
Longest Losing: Jacksonville (7 straight losses)

Based on these numbers, it's safe to say that Miami's the best team in the state of Florida this season. They have three more wins than Jacksonville and Tampa Bay combined. There is still a lot of season left for all teams to make their move and show improvement. Teams looking good right now may fall part like a badly-made car. Teams doing terribly may decide to play winning football and improve their season substantially. Teams in the middle may just stay there. No matter what, there's still a lot of season left before really learning of real threats and surprises.

So keep on fightin'!

That moment when 2/3 Florida teams are winless through 7weeks.

I heard that Kubiak said Schaub would start against the Colts. I also heard that is that happens, all the fans will watch the game from the Astrodome and Reliant will be empty.

They can beat Denver. If they get pass rush up the middle and the DBS can disrupt Denver's wideouts enough throw their timing off then yes they can beat them.

So the Dolphins should have beaten the Ravens. The same penalty that the refs called on New England in the Jets game should have been called on the Ravens before Caleb Sturgis missed the game-tying or game-winning FG. I think there was pressure that caused the hold to be messed up. And it's because of a Ravens player bulldozing his teammate into the point of attack.

Stupid refs. Oh well... hope we get a high pick next year. Though, undoubtedly it will be a tackle.
