I am excited about my Jets but they have the Steelers coming up and they are coming off a bye and the Jets off a short week and emotional win. If they can play like did last night they cane beat the Steelers but we'll see what happens.

Owen Daniels is out 4-6 weeks. A reliable target for the Texans' offense is on the shelf. I love O.D., so this injury really hurts.

Any other surprises/underrated things you want to share?

Surprises- Steelers, and the entire NFC East being terrible.
Underrated - Chiefs and Colts

Surprises (bad): Falcons being grounded, Tampa Bay disintegrating, Nobody in the NFC East wanting to win, Giants being completely pitiful, Houston having issues.
Surprises (good): Cleveland (until Hoyer go boom), Miami, New York Jets, Arizona.
Underrated: Indianapolis, Kansas City, Arizona

Surprises - Atlanta Falcons, Cleveland Browns, Houston Texans
Underrated - Philadelphia Eagles, Oakland Raiders, New York Jets

Tonight, we got the New York Giants at sumbrownkid's Chicago Bears. NYG is 0-5 on the season while the Bears are 3-2 and on a two-game losing streak. Something's got to give as both teams are on losing streaks. One of them, however, will enjoy winning after tonight's game (unless a draw happens, of course).

May the better team win.

That would be very shocking. They just look terrible. O line can't protect and D line can't rush the passer. Run game is terrible this is about as bad as I have seen them look in a loooong time. I 'm talking Pre- Parcells bad

I think the Giants will turn it around but it will be too little too late. Their o-line is ancient and they made a boo boo handling their run game.

Various musings...

This is terrible news to share. Adrian Peterson's 2-year old son was assaulted and killed by some 27-year old lowlife. I learned about this when I saw a Twitter hashtag #PrayForAP and wondered what it was all about. But man... that is terrible. I would feel absolutely horrible to learn of my children or such (I'm not a parent, but I am an uncle). From Yahoo!: http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-s...dakota-suffering-injuries-214001517--nfl.html .

In less harsh news, Ndamukong Suh's $100K fine was upheld. He lost his appeal of the fine for his illegal block on C John Sullivan of the Minnesota Vikings. One thing I read is that Suh has been fined six times by the NFL for a total of $342K. So for us car fans... he's been fined almost as much as what you'd pay for a Lamborghini Aventador (which costs about $389K). Before his fine, the largest on-field fine was levied in 1996 when LB Bryan Cox of the Chicago Bears was hit with an $87.5K fine for his actions. More info on Suh's fine being upheld: http://sports.yahoo.com/news/suhs-100-000-fine-nfl-211433212--nfl.html . This dude needs a reality check. Do you REALLY want a reputation of being a thug player or a piece of s:censored: human being?

Even less harsh news... last night's game saw Chicago win 27-21 at home over the now 0-6 New York Giants. Giants not so giant this season, unless you think of them as a giant failure.

That's all. Get ready for Sunday's games and the Monday Night one.

The Texans are trending in the wrong direction. Arian Foster has been solid, but even with penalties and poor play on both sides of the ball, the Texans are just horrid right now. How am I to even believe in this year's Texans at the Chiefs next weekend? I do believe in them, but my confidence- the key word in all of this- is low. Oh, and we threw ANOTHER pick-six... but it was T.J. Yates who threw it. This game isn't over as of this post, but this is basically over.

Some seasons just take on different challenges. We are certainly seeing a rough ride. This is exactly why I don't say things like "we're going to make the playoffs" or "we're going to run over the [insert team here]." Reason why is because you never know what to expect no matter how confident you are in your favorite team. I also don't believe in expectations. Lots of Texans fans are thinking we're going straight to the Super Bowl. But of course... you have to make the playoffs before even thinking about any Super Bowl hopes.

Well, we failed (or about to fail). Did your boys do so too?

[UPDATE] Texans lost 38-13. HOU scored their first touchdown since the Seattle game.

Jets can't get out of their own way. Pittsburgh makes a penalty, Jets make the penalty mean nothing.

Vikings look terrible, seems the Steelers game was a fluke for Cassel as he hasn't done crap(as I expected he would) and AP only has 62 yards.:ouch:

Since misery loves company, I hope the Seahawks thrash Tennessee at home after my Texans just got punked today. Considering how weird some NFL weekends can be, I'm not sure if this will actually happen or not. Plenty more games on deck as of this post.

Jets look flat today. I thought this would be a bad game for them, short week desperate opponent coming off a bye etc.. But they are still ahead of where I thought they would be

I'm really getting tired of Kubiak. He does the same 🤬 every game.
4th and goal at the 1 yard line? Better kick a field goal with no hesitation for the 8th time this year!

I used to think he was great... but this is just absolutely awful. In the past 2 games, I've watched a total of 4 plays before I said "yea we just lost" because this team is just fighting other players instead of fighting for yards. Foster especially is very out of character this year.

The Bengals barely hung on to win in Buffalo, going into overtime. We had a nice 24-10 lead in the 4th quarter before things started to fall apart. Nugent hit a 24 yard field goal that would have put us up by 3 scores. But of course we decided to hold, pushing the the play back 10 yards and a forcing another attempt, which naturally was missed. Then we made Thad Lewis (yes, Thad Lewis ) look like Joe Montana, where he converted a 4th and 8 into a 22 yard touchdown (our DE was covering a TE :boggled:), followed by a 40 yard touchdown bomb to some rookie to tie it with 1 minute left in the game. We got the ball to start OT, but were forced to punt. Buffalo ended up punting back, and Brandon Tate had a great return, getting us practically into field goal range. A couple of plays later, Nugent hit the game winning 43 yarder.

Scary how quickly the Bengals can switch to the Bungles. Luckily it didn't cost us the game this time.

The Titans did lose at the Seahawks earlier today. So I'm happy as a Texans fan. What has been terrible was how Matt Schaub was cheered for being injured. Terrible gesture by a number of the fans. Basically, this season seems like so much a lost cause that people are so disappointed the Texans are doing so poorly. Bandwagon fans are probably turning to the Cowboys or somebody else. This season only is a total failure if you think the Texans should have one loss or less by now. You have to think big picture. We aren't even halfway through this season.

2-4 is obviously not good, especially when you're basically looked on to easily make the playoffs. Of course... you have to make the playoffs before you can be thought of to be a playoff threat. I'm just hoping the Texans aren't sandbagging just to get to the Bye week after the at Kansas City game. Execution just isn't working for Houston as this freefall ensues...

I love how all of the news outlets this morning are basically saying "How did Denver only win by 16 points."

Colts at Chargers TONIGHT!

Yep. Colts and Bolts. Last time San Diego played on Monday Night at home, they were beating down my Texans... until the Texans came back to win. Now, another AFC South team will take on the Chargers in San Diego, and those boys are the Indianapolis Colts led by Andrew Luck. Chargers are going to have some Colts problems. Who leaves with the win?

Indianapolis is favored by 1. But of course, ANYTHING can happen. Remember last Monday Night, when ATL- favored by 10 hosting NYJ- got beat by the Jets? Good luck to both IND and SD tonight.

I think the Colts will win. They are better than the Falcons but I believe San Diego will keep it close they have lost a few close games so they are not quite as bad the spread would lead you to believe

I don't know about you, but I like those Powder Blue and White uniforms for the San Diego Chargers better than the more modern Navy Blue uniforms. It is currently 10-6, San Diego at the Half hosting the Indianapolis Colts.

I agree. I am not really sure why the Superchargers do not always wear the powder blues. They are much better looking than their normal navy blue uniforms.

I love their throwbacks as well. It looks we might have another upset tonight despite my earlier prediction of a Colts win. Unless Luck can lead them to another comeback victory

The only thing missing from the Chargers uni's is numbers under the logo on the helmet, those would make them the best looking uniforms in the NFL
