23-20, Seahawks in Overtime. Texans f:censored:ed up too many times to allow Seattle to come back and win. I'm damned disappointed. That pick-six shouldn't have happened. This game did concern me a whole lot leading up to the game. But on a better note, I have new respect for Russell Wilson. Texans now 2-2. Last thing I'm hoping for is for us to f:censored: up Sunday night on national TV at San Francisco.

So my boys lost. What did your boys do today/tonight?

I was pulling for your Texans this week against Seattle. I cannot do the same against the Niners.

Dolphins at Saints TONIGHT!

Who dat say dey gon' beat dem Saints? MAYBE Miami. Both teams are 3-0 so far this season. Unless a tie happens, somebody will remain unbeaten for at least one more week. Who you got going 4-0 after tonight's game in New Orleans?

The line favors NO by 7. Good luck to both teams tonight.

He looked like Brett Favre on that one. Shouldn't have thrown that ball...

He shouldn't throw anything.

When you're up 7 points with 4 minutes left in the game, RUN THE BALL. You have the best rb duo.
If you look at Schaub, he falls down.

Yeah, and Matt Schaub isn't exactly Michael Vick from Vick's days as Atlanta's QB. It may be time to turn T.J. Yates or Case Keenum loose. Matt Schaub is still a great QB. Only thing is, he's been pretty weak sauce so far this season. I probably would have let Foster or Tate tote the rock rather than risk throwing an interception that leads to a touchdown. On a lighter note, at least this fail by the Texans wasn't like that time when Sage Rosenfels was the Texans QB, leading by 17 hosting the Colts... all to lose that game when we should have clearly won thanks to some dumb moments. Oh, and who was QB then for that Indy team we lost to? Some guy named Peyton Manning. Yeah- HIM.

I don't usually watch Monday Night games. However, part of me wants to see the Dolphins win tonight. I'd surely want to see the Dolphins win just to shut up the Patriots a bit in the AFC East. The AFC East goes through Miami. I certainly know who our Omnis will take in tonight's game. However, it's going to be tough to go into the Saints' house and beat them there. And as I stated, the Saints are favored at home by 7. We'll see what happens...

Here are some images I saw on Facebook before the game...

I think of it this way;
Alex Smith's job, was locked up until he got injured for a week. He didn't play another snap for the 49ers because Kapernick dominated after basically not playing.
Whose to say T.J. or Case can't do the same? I think Keenum was doing something right at UOfH

John, I'm but until otherwise proven the AFC east still runs NE. A win tonight will be impressive but until they actually beat NE this season they haven't taken that top spot in the division.

Most teams have played four games already. It is still very early in the season; but for now, here are the standings (source: Yahoo! Sports):

--- AFC ---
AFC EAST: New England (4-0), MIA (3-1), NYJ and BUF (2-2)
AFC NORTH: Baltimore, Cleveland, and Cincinnati (2-2 each), PIT (0-4)
AFC SOUTH: Indianapolis and Tennessee (3-1 each), HOU (2-2), JAX (0-4)
AFC WEST: Denver and Kansas City (4-0 each), SD (2-2), OAK (1-3)

--- NFC ---
NFC EAST: Dallas (2-2), PHI and WAS (1-3), NYG (0-4)
NFC NORTH: Detroit and Chicago (3-1 each), GB (1-2), MIN (1-3)
NFC SOUTH: New Orleans (4-0), CAR (1-2), ATL (1-3), TB (0-4)
NFC WEST: Seattle (4-0), SF and ARI (2-2), STL (1-3)

It is still too early to determine if these teams will be the ones who'll hold their position as the season progresses.

I usually like doing assessments. So here's mine...

The whole buzz here in Houston is on Matt Schaub. A number of his passes have been picked off; some of which, leading to touchdowns by the other team. One popular video was shown of a Matt Schaub jersey being burned by fans. My whole storyline I'm following this season is if Matt Schaub can become that elite QB to be among the better QBs in the league. I think Schaub is and has been a solid quarterback for the Texans. That's unless you want David Carr back or even *sigh* Sage Rosenfels. I don't think it's time to turn loose T.J. Yates or Case Keenum, and especially not this coming weekend at San Francisco on Sunday Night. Arian Foster and Ben Tate remain quite solid toting the rock on run plays. They don't always bust up the field for massive yardage all the time, but they are still solid players. Andre Johnson is still Old Reliable for the Texans' passing game as is Owen Daniels. I've been impressed with Deandre Hopkins and Lestar Jean. On defense, I especially love J.J. Watt. Other players like Antonio Smith and Danieal Manning have been solid. D.J. Swearinger is pretty good as well. Kareem Jackson, though, has to calm down on certain plays. In fact, his body slam of that one Seattle player was a difference maker for Seattle beating us in Overtime this past Sunday.

Other than that... big test for the Texans when going to San Francisco.

And that's all. Get ready for Week 5.

I'm sitting funny because the Dolphins' ass was handed back to them, but they seem to have fumbled it on the way back to the doctor. ON the other hand, it's rare I get to watch an entire Monday Night game anymore (PST helps a lot with that).

Wow, reality check.

I was pretty surprised though. That was a game the Dolphins could have easily won were it not for the turnovers and mistakes. The offense didn't help out the defense at all. And you can't do that against the Saints because they're best when they have their foot on your throat.

Mike Wallace is a bum... he needs to learn how to catch and run routes. Also, this line is turrible. They need to get their act together. Clabo didn't even get around to block when he pulled on that Lamar Miller TD.

Eugene Monroe, starting Jaguars LT, is traded to the Baltimore ravens for multiple mid-round picks in next year's draft.

From a Jaguars perspective, obviously, GM Dave Caldwell couldn't sign Monroe and meet his long-term contractual demands as he's in a contract year and has been our most consistent player and Eugene obviously knows this. A trade means we actually get something long-term rather than release him to FA after the season. Obviously, we can now shift Luke Joeckel to his natural position at LT. Indeed, the net result is this does clear some cap space to go out and find upgrades at the O-line in FA this off-season. For me, mid-round picks are somewhat disappointing considering this man's talent but the Ravens knew we were a team in need and weren't prepared to cough up any more than they had to.

From a Ravens perspective, mid-round picks aren't too bad for what is an elite LT in the league. For sure he plays for the backwater town, Jacksonville, but GM Ozzie Newsome oversees this where other GM's don't such as the pick-up of Daryl Smith. Michael Oher will probably continue at RT whilst Eugene will probably fill up the LT spot as Flacco's blindside protector. The Ravens have grabbed a 26 year-old elite tackle who are at a premium in the league today. Eugene is probably delighted to move to a Super-Bowl Winning and Contending team but probably more to a team that wins most weeks.

As a Jags fan, I just wish we had a QB worth protecting like a new-born child.

I was surprised to hear about this trade but it makes sense for both sides. I wonder if Tampa will be able to find a taker for Freeman?

Teams will probably just wait for Freeman to be cut. Although I think he would do well a few hours away in Jacksonville.

Where else would he fit in? Tennessee? The Jets?

Giants.... *prepares to be thrown things at.*

I hear there is a restaurant in Houston that has a Matt Schaub special called the pick six burger where you pick six toppings for your burger. That is kind of jacked up

Some people have taken the whole Matt Schaub thing too far. I thought burning that Schaub jersey or shirt is about as extreme of dislike as anyone can do. Do fans have a right to be upset? Absolutely. But, there is certainly a limit. Pardon the cliché (not that I care), but football is a team sport. The rest of the team wilk have to bail out the QB if the QB is just having an off-game. If Matt Schaub has an off game at San Francisco on Sunday Night, then I'm sure some changes will have to be made to point the Texans back in the right direction.

That said, get ready for Bills at Browns tonight. CLE is favored by 3.5 according to Yahoo! Sports.

Browns win last night but they might have a slight problem; Weeden was not terrible last night so will he continue to be the starter or if Hoyer is able to go next week will he be the starter?

The Texans are going to get some face time on national TV. Last year, the big road game for us was at Chicago, and we managed to win that one. Tonight's game at San Francisco is going to be just as tough (if not tougher) than last season's game at Chicago. Texans riding a 2-game losing streak. A win definitely needed. If we get the win tonight, that will greatly help our season the way it's going right now.

Good luck to all of your teams today. One of the good things about playing late games is that you get to see all kinds of action from other teams before your team starts knocking heads. So I may catch a few games leading up to Texans at 49ers.
