Surprise win for the Bengals today. :dopey: Jumped out to an early 14-0 lead, then allowed 30 unanswered. But we battled back, with the help of some great defense, with 4 sacks, 2 picks, and a fumble 6 to put us ahead, and held them off at the end.

We are now 2-1, with what should have been a winnable game 1. But it is what it is. That same team that gave us our loss has a 17-0 lead after the first quarter over our Pittsburgh foes. They could easily fall to 0-3. That would make my day. :D

Don't worry about the loos today, John. We all know what happens when the Ravens have extra motivation brought on by their best players, and it was a special day for them.

Pittsburgh's offense scorched our secondary, but those picks were just too delicious. I don't think the Bears should panic on D since they were playing cover-2. Our defense has allowed large amount of yards in the past, so as long as we kept them off the boards, the defense did it's job. A defense that thrives on turnovers tend to run like that, but it's a gamble. Fortunately we've had the people who have been doing this for years at the helm.

As for Cutty, he's showing to be a clutch QB under Trestman.

A weird moment during the HOU at BAL game was that Greg Gumbel (one who was calling the game) accidentally called the Texans as the Houston Oilers. He corrected himself.

As for our loss, I didn't have the Texans winning anyways. Of the major American sports leagues, the NFL is the only one where a team can realistically go unbeaten. Then people get whiny just because a team loses a game. Either that, or people feel like no team should lose any game for any reason. Almost as if every team wants to be the 1972 Miami Dolphins or be in the same company as that team.

It is NOT the end of the season or the world just because you lose. Just pick yourself up and get after the next game. Only feel bad about losing if you make the playoffs and lose there.

There is so much parity in the NFL that, as long as the two teams have a franchise QB, you don't know who is going to win. Look at the Redskins. Last year was playoffs, this year is winless so far. Even the Jets, who many people wrote off, are 2-1.

Raiders at Broncos TONIGHT!

The AFC West gets its shine on tonight as the 1-1 Raiders head a mile high to meet the 2-0 Denver Broncos. Tough task for the black and silver boys, but who'll win this one? We'll see tonight.

The line favors Denver by 14. If that holds true, this won't be a close game at all.

It was a blowout in Denver- 37-21, Denver Broncos. The line was 14 in favor of Denver, and they won by 17. How does this line sound for Peyton Manning: he went 32-37 for 374 yards and 3 TDs. I'd say he had a pretty good day the office tonight. I only saw the score on Yahoo! Sports. Didn't see the game. Only Matthew Stafford (386 yds.) and Ben Roethlisberger (406 yds.) threw for more yards this week.

Bring on Week 4!

I didn't follow any of the games this past weekend as I was out of town, but it was a pretty good weekend for Washington football. Seahawks, Huskies and Cougars all won, majorly.

I don't want to jinx it, but I'll be honest, it's hard to not gloat a little right now.

Bring on Week 4.

I know what you mean.. I know this is an NFL thread, but I never expected our college teams to do this well. That's all I'm gonna say about that.. now back on topic.

I can't tell if the Raider's surge at the end was do to them showing real signs of life, or Denver's D just sort of calling it a night.

Seattle Seahawk problems coming up for the Houston Texans this weekend. After SEA, a Sunday Night showdown in San Francisco comes up.

Week 4 begins tonight with the San Francisco 49ers at the St. Louis Rams. SF is favored by 3. One game will be in lovely London this weekend, but a not-so-lovely matchup.

Welcome to Week 4!

On paper, it should have been a great match-up between the Steelers and Vikings.

Going to texans/seahawks game Sunday. 40 yard line, 2nd row. I predict Texans win 29-22

Good luck to you both ;)
I personally think this is one of the hardest games on our schedule this year. Top three, for sure.

Ok... overtime..here we go..
No matter the outcome, I want to say what a game between SEA & HOU.

Hopefully all those injured are ok (thinking of Bennett). But even with the constant stress this was a good matchup.

EDIT: Man.. that was some overtime.. neither team was going to give in. Eventually penalties dug the Texans into too big of a hole. A FG sealed the win for us. Bringing our un-answered point total to 20.

Oh my god, Seahawks won! That was a great game and a great match up!

23-20, Seahawks in Overtime. Texans f:censored:ed up too many times to allow Seattle to come back and win. I'm damned disappointed. That pick-six shouldn't have happened. This game did concern me a whole lot leading up to the game. But on a better note, I have new respect for Russell Wilson. Texans now 2-2. Last thing I'm hoping for is for us to f:censored: up Sunday night on national TV at San Francisco.

So my boys lost. What did your boys do today/tonight?

Well, on the college side, we got ride of Daniel Tosh - talent, but the Jets have yet to play.

That was the most idiotic and funny ending to a Bills game I have ever seen. Still won over the Ravens though, guess that is a good sign :)

ESPN says Seattle lost.....

Well my Jets are getting run. It seems like Geno Smith is a turnover machine. Oh well there's always next week.
