If I'm the Jets, I'm calling Washington and sending them Cromartie and Sanchez for Kirk Cousins.

Why? They are rebuilding and so why give Geno a shot if it doesn't work they will have a high draft pick and get another qb. Also Kirk Cousins may be good but the sample size is small and they would give up Cromartie and what if he goes to Jets and sucks? They wasted a player and still have draft another QB.

It was 20-10 last night in Cincinnati as the Cincinnati Bengals doubled up the Pittsburgh Steelers. Pittsburgh is now 0-2 while Cincy is 1-1.

This weekend for my Texans, it's a BIG one- at Baltimore. Even with many ex-Texans on the Baltimore squad, playing at Baltimore is going to be a serious challenge. Some people may even think of this game as an AFC Championship preview if both teams make it to the AFC Championship Game. I think this is as big of a game for my Texans as that Sunday Night matchup later this season at San Francisco. I think my Texans are going to be 2-1 after this Sunday's game at Baltimore. Andre Johnson got dinged up by former Texan Bernard Pollard. His availability is questionable. If he can't go on Sunday, that means Deandre Hopkins and Lestar Jean will have to carry the load in the passing game. You also have to account for the likes of Arian Foster and Ben Tate. Owen Daniels has to get going as well. Finally, Matt Schaub has to be better in the passing game. That ESPECIALLY means no pick-six like he had on Sunday.

This new week will begin with Kansas City at Philadelphia on Thursday. The Sunday Night match will involve sumbrownkid's Chicago Bears going into Pittsburgh to take on the [currently winless] Pittsburgh Steelers. The next Monday Night football match is an AFC delight as the Oakland Raiders will head up to Mile High to take on Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos in an AFC West tilt.

Hey John, are the Texans trying to hype up Ben Tate so they can potentially shop him out? I don't really understand having someone that good being a #2 behind one of the top 3 backs in the league. Like.. I know the coaches like it because they know they have a very solid backup, but as a player he must know that he could play full-time for someone else.

I don't necessarily think they're trying to hype him up too much. Ben Tate has solid and a great compliment to Arian Foster. He sometimes picks up the slack if Arian Foster isn't toting the rock all that well for a game. I don't know why they would want to shop off Ben Tate if they were trying to do so. And if they are, what possible free agent would back up Foster?

So I don't know about all that.

Cleveland was so giddy they made a commercial with one of their budding players they hit the "accept trade" button without thinking.

I was surprised by the trade. I understand why they did but the season just started. This is the problem when you have poorly run franchise you are constantly rebooting every time you bring in a new regime.

Trent Richardson, while seemingly a pretty good player, has an awful yards per carry average. Much of that probably has to do with Cleveland's inadequate offensive line, but his per carry average is still worrying. The Colts' offensive line is nothing to write home about either. Compared to Brandon Weeden, the change in quarterback to Andrew Luck is going to help out. However, unless the line plays better, the point is moot.

Cleveland is stockpiling draft picks. I heard on the radio on my drive to work that the Browns have seven picks in the first four rounds of next years draft and ten picks overall.

Former Texan on Texan violence... Former Houston Texan Bernard Pollard got his wallet lightened $42K for his hit on Andre Johnson during the Tennessee at Houston game this past weekend. I am still not as sure if #80 will be ready to go for Houston this Sunday at Baltimore.

Tonight begins the new week as the surprising Kansas City Chiefs will head to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles. PHI is favored by 3 tonight.

I guess that is why the Giants couldn't get Trent, poor draft picks? We need a solid RB like Trent, man imagine if he went to NY *daydream*.

I can sort of see why Cleveland thinks they are doing the right thing, kind of like Cincy. They want a young team to grow up together. But still, Trent is no slouch, nor is he 'old', it wouldn't matter if AP was the Browns RB, he probably wouldn't do much better.

I'm finding out that Andre Johnson WILL be ready to go for Sunday. So that's cool. KC at PHI coming up in mere moments.

Texans should be up 14-0 bit have to settle on field goals... 6-0 over the Ravens right now

Depressing day for the Texans. All we could manage was three field goals as we were run out of Baltimore 30-9. I didn't have the Texans winning this one anyways. Poor special teams coverage and a dumb ass pick-six throw by Matt Schaub accounted for some of the touchdowns scored by Baltimore. The game was ugly with so many penalties handed out on both teams. Houston is a powerful team, but we are in no way a total elite. There is a difference between being a good team and being an elite; and we're not elite. Even a beaten-up Baltimore team had just enough to tame the Texans.

Up next... we're hosting some NFC competition as the Seattle Seahawks come down to H-Town. Then after that, we're at San Francisco for a Sunday Night game. This is part of a tough stretch for the Texans. And so far, so bad having lost at Baltimore.

Remember those NCAA games yesterday with the crazy scores? The Seahawks game is turning into that the longer the game goes on.

Miami and New Orleans look big-time this season. Didn't think I'd say that.

Meanwhile Jacksonville are bombing for Bridgewater by the looks of it....

Figures that I move out of Florida, and the Dolphins have their best start in twenty years!

Figures that I move out from London, and the Jaguars have the worst start in ten years!

Good luck getting London fans now, Shahid Khan.

Pathetic showing by the 49ers today. After an awesome first week showing by the Niner offense, they have been downright mediocre since and saying that they have been mediocre is being nice about it. Mounting injuries will do that.

Hopefully Vernon Davis will be able to return to the lineup next week against the Rams. Another receiver showing up other than Anquan Bolden would be nice too. Manningham and Crabtree cannot return to being healthy soon enough.

Rex Ryan's job was saved by Sanchez's shoulder. Looks like Geno is their guy. It is the Bills though...

Maybe just the Bills but they are playing some good defense. And that will keep them in a lot of games. Geno had good game glad to see that hopefully during bye he work some things and get better
