I can see it now. The Bengals drop the game against Minnesota, Baltimore wins and then comes into Cincy to beat us and take the AFC North crown. 🤬
Man you sound like some Jets fans I have met through the years. But I understand following a team typically finds new ways to fail will do that. Truth be told I think Cincy will the North.

Whether playing for better playoff positioning or playing to make the playoffs, got to keep on pushing. Let's start the penultimate week of regular season NFL action.

That was embarrassing. The Bills ought to be a playoff team next year. That or we ought to fire our coaching staff.

F:censored:ing terrible. All congratulations to Peyton Manning on the single-season touchdown record, but the Texans are now just playing like the 2013 Astros- just play to end the season with as many losses as possible and look forward to the next season. Bulls:censored:. Absolute m:censored:f:censored:ing bull:censored:. Texans failed for the 13th straight time, losing 37-13. Texans mostly conceded defeat in the 2nd Half. I guess if you're going to fail, you might as well do it knowing you stand little or no chance of bouncing back. I know we were playing against Peyton Manning and his Broncos, but there's no f:censored:ing excuse to play so poorly or play only so hard against a powerhouse team.

People- this is EXACTLY why I don't try to hype up my team or believe in any expectations. The moment you have certain expectations, that's the moment where you line yourself up for failure. I always think you just let the season play out as it does. Nobody waltzes their way into any postseason play or any sort of championship hopes. A hopeful season can be a total disaster.

The final nail in our coffin will be at Tennessee (who beat Jacksonville in Jacksonville today) next Sunday. Add to my agony by saying your team won while mine tries to remember what winning feels like...

John, what are you so mad about? You ought to be happy you lost to the Broncos. Your team was eliminated from the playoffs long ago. Enjoy that #1 pick.

Dolphins got themselves into this mess. Can't get shut out by Buffalo.

It's weird though. Miami needs New England to win this game to keep their playoff hopes alive. However, they will then either play New England or Cincinnati as the 3/6 match-up (New England if and only if Buffalo turns it into a 2 game streak).

I flippin hate The Patriots!... And their self entitled weiner of a QB! I hope they get crushed in the playoffs, or even better, in the superbowl!

Fine by me. Now I don't have to worry about the Bengals losing the division. :D I just need the Pats to lose next week and for us to beat Baltimore to get that #2 seed.

The reason why I've been upset over this latest loss is that even though a season has been a totally lost cause, it doesn't mean you still go out and keep losing after losing. At some point, you need to win to at least assure your fans have something positive to look forward to. I usually think of teams that are pathetic when a team gets the first overall draft pick. A team that could have been much better than an indicated record shows major disappointment. I don't think the Texans are THAT pathetic despite the 2-13 record. This is just a team that has either failed to produce or failed to preserve wins (hosting Seattle earlier this season and Indy on Sunday Night, for example). We're bad, but not 1st Round Draft Pick bad. 1st Round Draft Pick is the territory of "terrible team that seriously needs help." But then again... maybe some extra help overall would help the Texans make a drastic turnaround so that this nightmare of a season doesn't happen again in the near future. Heck, I'm even surprised the "Always Hate Houston network" (ESPN/ABC) isn't hating on Houston more often than all the goings on with the Washington Redskins.

I'm just upset over two things- the constant losing by a promising team that could have gone much further, and just the fact this team has failed to produce wins. This is a much better team than the 13 (and potentially 14) straight loss team is. I just want to see the team win just to have something promising to look forward to for next season. That is... unless the Texans want to challenge the 1976-1977 Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the longest losing streak in NFL history (26 straight losses). I just have a bad attitude about losing, failure, and futility- especially with things I love and support.

The 1st Round Draft Pick will be decided this way:
* HOU locks up the 1st Draft Pick with a loss next week at Tennessee.
* WAS locks up the 1st Draft Pick if HOU wins and WAS loses; WAS gets pick because of easier schedule.

After this week's Monday Night game, it will be the final week of the regular season.

Playoffs hopefully. Don't think I'll be able to stomach the Pats making another Superbowl.

Also, the Panthers are on top of the NFC South. :D

STL owns WAS's pick. It really sucks to be a 'Skins fan right now.

Miami needs 2 of 3 things to happen to get in:

1. First and foremost, they have to beat the Jets. If they lose to New York they're eliminated.

2. Miami needs Cincinatti to beat Baltimore. If Cinci wins, they get the #2 seed and the Dolphins are the #6 seed no matter what else happens.

3. If the Ravens win, Miami needs San Diego to beat Kansas City to get the #6 seed.

If KC and Baltimore win, the Ravens are the #6 seed. Chargers go to the playoffs with a win if Miami and Baltimore lose. Steelers would get in with a win if everyone else in the hunt loses.

Best games of next week though are in the NFC.

Two winner take all games in Philadelphia vs. Dallas and Green Bay vs. Chicago.

That might just happen. I don't think they'll get very far anyway. Manning will abuse us if we manage to squeak by the Bengals.

Falcons at 49ers TONIGHT!

The Dirty Birds of the ATL are set to make a long flight out to beautiful San Francisco... at dirty Candlestick Park. In the Monday Night finale of the 2013 season, it's the theme of "two teams in two different directions." This game is brought to you by the numbers 4 and 10... meaning Atlanta is 4-10, and San Francisco is 10-4. The rather disappointing Atlanta Falcons will try to take down the very game 49ers tonight. Will they? Or will the Dirty Birds get cleaned up by the Niners?

The line favors San Francisco by 14. Good luck to both SF and ATL in the final Monday Night Football game of this season.

San Francisco clinches a playoff spot, winning in what is likely the final game at Candlestick Park, 34-24 over the Atlanta Falcons. This means that 3 spots in the NFC are undecided in terms of teams, and 6 teams are fighting for them. Green Bay vs. Chicago, Dallas vs. Philadelphia and New Orleans vs. Arizona (last 2 do NOT play each other in week 17 but they are the only 2 that can make the final playoff spot).

And the winner is... San Francisco! It was 34-24 as the 49ers grounded the Atlanta Falcons. San Francisco is tough as hell to play at. Just ask my Texans earlier this season on a Sunday night when we got flattened by the Niners on National TV. Everyone knows- nothing feels worse than your favorite team losing on national TV regardless of by how much.

Romo no mo'. He's done for the season with a back injury. Kyle Orton will be taking snaps for the Dallas Cowboys moving forward for this season. Big blow for the Dallas Cowboys.

I'm rather curious about the home team's game next week. Watching them topple the Saints was rather fun and with Atlanta playing terrible it will be interesting to see if Carolina can take the division.

Romo is out so if Dallas loses they can't blame him. I think Carolina is in for a tough game Sunday and it will be interesting to see how they will play

But they can blame Romo if they lose. They can blame him for being injured and not playing.

They can blame Romo if they go to the Super Bowl and win it all. (They won't do that.) Most likely they will lose on a final drive by Philadelphia who kicks a game winning FG and blame Romo for not being out there, since the defense is apparently blameless.

Your right. I thought about that after I posted. Why not blame Romo since he obviously is the cause of their issues.

Romo is all of the Dallas Cowboys issues. He should play defense also. Maybe then their defense would not be so awful. He should also be the general manager, since Jerry Jones is so inept at that.

Next week I will become the biggest Eagles fan in the nation, because when they win, my cowgirls friends can't say anything because they didn't make the playoffs. :)

If Philly makes it into the playoffs, I think they could make a run. They're probably the hottest team right now. AND they can run the ball.
